First of all, the food is EXCEPTIONAL & the environnement is beautiful!😍 Johnny served our family today & I am truly impressed, happy & appreciative of his detailed service, his kindness, & humour🙌 Because of him, this became our new favourite restaurant & go-to Italian spot⭐? It was my mother in law's birthday today, & it was the best decision to celebrate it here. Johnny, if you are reading this, thank you, you made this birthday extra memorable🥳🤗 We are all infinitely grateful for you!🫶

We heard about this restaurant from some of our coworkers from Montreal. Being from Halifax we do have a share of Italian restaurants but this was next level.
Our staff member was Kaila. She was absolutely amazing. Our whole family remarked how efficient, friendly, caring & timely she was. The restaurant was very busy while we were there & that usually means the staff doesn't have the time to attend the tables as often. Not the case here. Kaila was there for us the whole time within minutes to check how we were doing.
So that's the service, let's talk about food. Huge portions or fresh cooked apps & meals. You could tell the chefs & cooks take pride in the quality of food & presentation. I can say, for someone who has travelled to Italy, this was the best pasta I've ever had. Delicious! Can't wait to return. Thank you Kaila & cooking staff.

Excellent service by Sam. Very pleasant & a consummate'Pro'! We had a great experience! The food was fresh, delicious, generous portions, reasonably priced & cooked to perfection. We ordered the chicken parmigiana & the pollo Calabrese. Thee es chocolate cake was also yummy!
Can't wait to come back & invite family & friends.

Scarolies is everything I hope to have in a dining experience- attentive & knowledgeable service, excellent food & reasonable prices. It's clear the staff is in great communication, operations always seem seamless. It's a small detail but the traditional shirt & tie the waiters wear is refreshing to see- the employees there really seem to take pride in their work.

My husband is Italian & usually avoids Italian restaurants because the food is never as good as what he grew up with. However he loves the food here & felt immediately at ease seeing the traditional Italian decor.

I'd like to also give a special thank you to the staff tonight. I misspoke & accidently ordered the wrong kind of pizza. I felt really bad but the waiter, chef & owner/manager were so gracious about it. It meant a lot & I was also impressed with my waiter who, despite being new, was so personable, timely & professional!

Lastly, this is also a very family-friendly establishment! I have 3 young kids, one of whom is virtually allergic to restaurants right now, so it can be a bit intimidating going to a nice place like this. However we felt very welcome & everyone was very accommodating.

Thank you again so much to the owners/managers & all the employees, it is such a treat to eat here & that is all thanks to you!

My all-time favourite restaurant. It has been our go to for many a family meal since it's opening. Consistently delicious & affordable meals. You are in for a delicious meal & possibly a to go container as their portions are generous. Never disappointing. Family size take out meals are absolutely amazing & make for a great weeknight break from cooking. For us, eating at Scarolies is like coming home...warm welcoming & delicious.

Celebrated a family member's 50th birthday with a large group for lunch. Outstanding service from Nadia & her team, not to mention all the food was delicious & prepared to perfection.

Had supper this evening with family. Sunday evening seems to always be busy.Food was great & portions are large.I always have leftover to take home.Our waiter Jimmy was very efficient & friendly.He gave us great service & a nice piece of chocolate cake just because he forgot my drink .We had a few laughs joking around with him.He was very gracious when we said we wanted to put him in our review.Thanks Jimmy for being such a pleasant waiter.

I've been going to this restaurant for many years. The quality of the service & the food has always been great. Amazing place for special occasions. The atmosphere is very lively. Would definitely recommend for family dinners. Make sure to reserve in advance.

My family & I went here for the first time. We were told we had to wait at least an hour without reservation, but it took less than 30 mins til we got seated. We were served by a wonderful waitress (didn't get her name but she's 5'6-5'7ish with glasses). Despite being busy with the other tables, she was very communicative & tended to our needs. The food was really good & the restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere. Would definitely come back again in the near future but with my friends 😁

My family & I have visited eight countries, 30+ U.S. states, & countless restaurants around the world. Scarolies Pasta Emporium has been the most memorable experience thanks to their friendly staff who go the extra mile to their customers & their incredible food that I believe is the best Italian cuisine in the western hemisphere. We first went to Scarolies in the summer of 2023 & it was completely by fluke. It was late & they were getting ready to close but they sat us anyway (which is hard to come by in the U.S.) Our server was Indigo & we were immediately impressed by his captivating persona, literally by breaking bread. He executed expedient services, showed a genuine fondness of the job (including exploring opportunities in the U.S.), & was interested in getting to know us. We had the most memorable conversations with him that have stuck with us to this day. We decided to return to Canada the following summer, driving 9 hours to visit Montreal again with an intentional stop at Scarolies. Again, Indigo was our server & we couldn't of asked for a better experience. As for food, their bread is incredible - served hot & fresh with the full baguette! I highly recommend their fried calamari as an appetizer & the Penne alla Gigi for the main course.

Been a while since I've been to an Italian restaurant as busy as this place, & a Wednesday no less. The atmosphere is loud, busy but fun. People laughing & having a great time that makes it feel like you're at a massive family dinner. The food was fantastic but be sure to come hungry, the portions are beyond most people's capacity to finish. The bread is fresh & the drinks are cold. Be prepared to wait a bit if it's busy but worth the wait. Highly recommended
