They bring some baguette to start. Was hoping it would be great starter bread, but it was tasteless. I got a chicken Caesar salad. The portion was huge, but it didn't have bacon. I don't understand how they can make a Caesar salad & not have bacon. My girlfriend has a seafood salad. Again, huge portion. Was filled with calamari, smoked salmon & some shrimp stuff. Really tasty I'd still go back to try something else though.

For lunch, we had a chicken Cesar salad & seafood salad. The cesar salad was missing bacon, & the chicken was unfortunately dry. There was a bit too much sauce, although it was very tasty with freshly grated parmesan on top. The seafood salad had a good portion of calamari, smoked salmon & shrimp. The calamari was perfectly cooked not rubbery at all but there was no additional sauce to dip it in. The salad was perfectly dressed with a light but delicious vinegarette. Both salads were enormous & we weren't able to eat more then half. They also bring a fresh baguette with oil & balsamic vinegar but the bread although very fresh, tasted plain & somewhat flavorless. The interior is VERY old but you can also day it adds to the charm. Service was super friendly & helpful. The price was good for the portions we got but it's not necessary to have such enormous portions for lunch.

This restaurant is located in the food belt of West Island. It has a variety of pasta, almost every dish is good with large quantity. The prices are reasonable. Each table also comes with baguette & vinaigrette. It is a good place to share & enjoy with families & friends.

Incroyable!! Qualité/prix c'est imbattable! Accueil chaleureux, serveur très gentil , nourriture excellente! Nous étions un groupe de 6 personnes pour midi nous avons tous été étonné par les portions gigantesques. ( Lasagne , poulet parmigiana, veau marsala, salade de poulet ) Tout était très bon & pas cher! Une baguette chaude avec beurre ou huile d'olive & balsamique offerte gratuitement!!! WOW !!! Parmesan vous en voulez une montagne ... pas de problème ;) Wow Une très belle expérience! Bravo a toute l'équipe & au proprio pour sa générosité incroyable!

Scarolies is well known & loved by many in the West Island! The past few years have been difficult for the restaurant industry, & despite that, they have been keeping the prices fair & generous portions to keep loyal customers coming back for more! What has been the downfall for many, has been a tremendous strength for them. I might not be a weekly regular, but I can safely say that my experience going to this place has always been a consistent 5 stars experience, dine out or take out, throughout the years. For take-out, receiving a baguette, parmesan & dressing on the side are small details that make a big difference. Thank you!

Une découverte faite par hasard il y a quelques années. Jamais déçue de ce que nous commandons jusqu'à présent. Même s'il y a eu, une fois, une erreur dans ma commande, c'était quand même bon. Les prix sont raisonnables & quand même une bonne portion pour les plats. En plus ils nous offrent une baguette de pain. Il y a quand même un stationnement pas mal grand, alors on ne s'inquiète pas pour trouver une place.

Scarolies is our favourite Italian restaurant in Montreal. We've celebrated special occasions here or just shared wonderful meals with our families for the last 15+ years. The pasta is delicious, the portions are generous & the prices are reasonable, especially the table d'hôte. We also really enjoy the fresh baguette. Of all the dishes I've tried, my favourite dish is the Linguini with Giant Shrimps in a Brandy Rosé sauce & when I'm in the mood for something a bit spicy, I really like the Capelli di Angelo alla Diablo dish. Thank you Scarolies for serving us such delicious food over the years.

We had a lovely dinner at Scarolies this evening which never disappoints! We arrived without a reservation at 5:15pm & were seated right away. (Party of 2) We were greeted most promptly by Gabriel our waiter with water & their famous all you can eat fresh baguette (it was literally steaming). Gabriel made our night! He was so kind & courteous. We never felt rushed but always felt attended to. He was so pleasant to deal with. We shared a cesar salad to start & then had the Penne Gigi & Tortellini Rosé as our mains. The food & portion sizes are well worth the price point. Everything was so delicious & we even took home lunch for the next day. We finished with a classic tiramisu to share & that was also mouthwatering. What's more, halfway through our meal we noticed the Maître D doing his rounds & checking in on diners to see how their experience was going. This is so rare to see these days, we were delighted by this extra care shown by management. We told him that we appreciated the checkin & love that the restaurant is always so consistent. A true staple in the West Island. I can't stress enough how good we felt leaving there. Money well spent with the best service we've received in a long time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! A++++

I've dine here a few years ago & the experience was pleasant, food was delicious. Love the variety & ambiance. I think few restaurants nowadays have that inviting, comforting feel & decor. Many new restaurants have rather minimalistic, cold, straight & boring modern decor. Scarolies kind of has that old charm italian garden, complete with waterfall & plants/vines. My most recent experience was on Saturday March 9, 2024 around 1pm. I ordered take out, just one plate of spaghetti carbonara. The restaurant was moderately busy but they were able to prepare my order quickly while I waited near the entrance - there are comfortable seats & enough room to wait. Very surprised that I got a whole complimentary baguette bread to take home & the portion size for my pasta was huge. Honestly so impressed with this meal! For the price, around 25$ + tax, it was well worth it, as it was enough food to feed at least 3 or 4 people. The hot & fresh bread is such as a nice touch. Would definitely recommend this place for comforting & delicious italian food - even the take out container was a good reusable plastic, no spillage or leaking, everything was so well prepared, it was amazing.

I've been a couple times now & the food is just ok. Most of the pasta dishes are underseasoned & mostly all just taste of salt & cream. I will add that the pizza is pretty good though. Otherwise, the warm baguette while waiting is really good & the service has always been great. But it definitely wouldn't be my first or second choice for Italian food.
