Rôtisserie St-Hubert shows a wide range of experiences across locations and times, with food that generally satisfies thanks to hearty portions and reasonable value, but service can be slow, crowded, and uneven, especially on busy evenings or before performances; some visits are praised for friendly, attentive staff and a pleasant atmosphere, while others cite disorganized service, missing menu items, long waits for mains, cold dishes, and a noisy bar area; overall the reviews present a nostalgic, reliable option with solid rotisserie chicken and sides, yet with variability in service and timing depending on location and crowd.
Rice was completely raw & shrimp were cold & rubbery. We ordered a garden salad & it took over an hour for it to come out, although restaurant wasn't crowded at all. Food otherwise just not great. Don't go just for the lobster rolls, we went to the restaurant just for them & they were all out. Not good.
Restaurant & bar St-Hubert holds a special place in our Montreal memories. The cozy ambiance & friendly service create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps drawing us back. The signature rotisserie chicken is always a highlight, perfectly cooked & flavorful. Accompanied by their famous gravy & coleslaw, it makes for a comforting & satisfying meal. The menu offers a variety of options, ensuring there's something for everyone. Whether it's a casual dinner or a special occasion, St-Hubert consistently delivers a delightful dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Montreal.

To me, service is everything in a business, & I was utterly appalled at the service I received from the girl with the short hair in a bob, & big eyelashes (the latina). She remained in the back, barely even attending to customers, & once she arrived to serve me, she was extremely rude. All I did was ask a question on how the spécial midi worked, & she told me "well duh, everything is written on the sign." I proceeded to switch my language to French to test whether that would alleviate her anger towards working here, & I was still met with the same rudeness. She was very dismissive of me, & I had to use my own reasoning to try to figure out what comes with the spécial midi without her. If you have workers who don't want to be there & treat customers rudely, it reflects the entire business. I suggest hosting etiquette is re-taught to your workers. This is my first bad experience here, & one that I will never forget.
Absolutely love St-Hubert! Everytime I am in Montreal I make sure I get to one. Usually, it is the one I reviewing here. The place is large & very nice & the staff are always great. As for the food their chicken is the BEST! The tradition al coleslaw is even better. Love this place
Ambience: it's neat & clean Food: it's ok if you're hungry... Service... Man... Every single time I have gone here service is really slow. Recently we were immediately seated , but after 20 minutes we decided to get up & leave . My kid was starving & we didn't even get glasses of water. The waitress looked over whelmed & did not even glance at us once. We go out back to the Express take out counter & place our orders.... I literally waited 30 minutes... & I was the only person who ordered from the express counter... Either they have serious staffing issues or are greatly disorganized. There are so many better choices of food around for the same price. Only reason we go is because my kid likes the animal chicken tenders. But frankly having to wait nearly an hour for mass produced food is ridiculous.
