game(4) drinks(4) spectacle(4) hockey(3) event(3) match(3) pasta(3) prix(3) tickets(3)Canti tries to be upscale Italian but fails. The first thing that you see when you enter our the same disposable beer cups better found all over the bell center. The appetizers were OK, but I was really not impressed with what the waiter described as'pizza' It looked a lot like a beavertail that you can get at a concession stand with some very nice toppings on top. The service wasn't great either. Our dirty plates & cutlery were left on the table from our appetizers & our water glasses were often empty. The restaurant had music playing, which was quite incongruous to the atmosphere that they are trying to create, & there were some TVs playing a hockey game. This restaurant is convenient since you are already in the bell center, & it is easy to get to your seats for an event. That is the only reason I would recommend it.
The staff & service are AMAZING. Friendly, efficient, & having the chance to come back during events or games to get an extra beverage or more food is very convenient.
Now as for the food, if this restaurant was anywhere else than the Bell center, I don't think I would go back. The octopus was soggy, the fries were cold, the salad was bland & the chicken sandwich was average at best. I also tried the eggplant pasta, which was okay. For this poor quality of food, the price was very high, but again, the staff & the location compensate to some extent for that.
Food was extremely expensive. 84$ for 1 martini & 12 of the worst & driest oysters ive ever had in a restaurant. The people i were with also didnt enjoy their food, meat was lacking seasoning, lemon mousse was just a cheap lemon pudding, black forest cake was a frozen chocolate cake that tasted like a freezer with one cherry added. Would never go back. Only positive was the fries!
Really a nice place with good food & a superbly located place, before a hockey game or a show. The only down side the noise, It's a cafeteria. Nothing to absorbe sound.
The food was very good & the service was great & fast. The only downside is the lack of options in the menu (very few options).
Cool spot right inside the Bell Centre, which makes it a fun place to grab a bite - but overall, the experience was pretty mixed.
The house fries were julienne-cut, but all I could really taste was the frying oil, not much actual potato. The Caesar salad had good flavor, but the romaine lettuce was pretty rough - soft on top with some black spots like it was going bad.
I also tried the grilled broccolini - the flavor & spices were really good, but it was way too oily & buttery, which kinda took away from how nice it could've been.
Service wasn't great either. We sat there for about 30 minutes with my water glass empty. The vibe was nice enough, though. Only thing is, the bathroom was out of toilet paper when I went, which isn't ideal.
Now, credit where it's due - the pasta was amazing. I had the Calamarata, & it was honestly one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a restaurant. Simple but super flavorful.
Even though I probably wouldn't come back, that pasta definitely saved the meal from being a total miss.
Blind faith & pasta vibes!
Booked a rez before the Bell Centre show-smooth entry, pasta delivered, all good… until the server Josiane turned into the main act.
No drinks? No smile. Friend just gets a beverage? Cue Olympic-level side-eye.
& the kicker: coworker drops a plate, & she blasts,'Excusez-le, c'est sa première journée, mais ça va pas durer.' Wow-customer service by way of reality TV.
Food was tasty, service was salty. Come for the pasta, stay for the live drama.
Ambiance détendue, & portions correctes': on repart rassasié & content.
I was there for the afternoon game & reserved the'family day' brunch at this restaurant & it ended up being an awful experience. I booked an hour & a half before game start thinking that we would have plenty of time but the service ended up taking forever. It wasn't before 30min went by that the waiter came by to ask if we had had our entrees. Isn't his job to know that? He came back 10min Later to ask for the order again because he seemed to have'lost' it. We waited another 20min for the food to show up. The restaurant wasn't that full so it's not like the kitchen or the waiters were swamped. The table next to us were given the same treatment but they weren't as patient & left before they got their food. & once we got our food we were disappointed to say the least. The portions were decent but just not tasty. We had the breakfast burger & breakfast sandwich. Throughout this whole ordeal, the maître D was walking around the restaurant nonchalantly as if everything was normal. He didn't bother to go to the tables to apologize or explain the situation. The waiter ended up blaming it on the fact that it was a special event & that they're not used to doing brunches. Definitely would not recommend.
