Taste of Vietnam in Montreal, especially if you are looking for legitimate Broken Rice, this place has it, other places serve you jasmine rice or regular rice, which isn't Vietnamese version of Com Tam.
Also, they serve different broths for each type of protein such as Beef Pho, Chicken Pho, or Vegetables Pho. Usually one broth for all in other places, so kudos to the dedication of serving the Pho broths distinctively here!
We came in a big group so there was a bit of wait time for the food due to large orders, so that's totally normal.
Their BBH also amazing, hit the spot! You have extra sate & fried chilies flakes on the side for added kick!
Definitely come back for more.
100% traditional Vietnamese flavors. The owner is polite & provides excellent, attentive service. Centrally located, yet the prices are very affordable. The best Vietnamese restaurant in Montreal.
100 % de saveurs vietnamiennes traditionnelles. Le propriétaire est courtois & offre un service attentionné & chaleureux. Situé en plein centre-ville, mais les prix restent très abordables. Le meilleur restaurant vietnamien à Montréal.
Authentic Vietnamese experience with great service! We felt like welcomed guests at the house of a cook who is passionate about his family recipes. Highly recommend!
Everything was so good. Highly recommend if you would love to try authentic Vietnamese food.
Fantastic food & extremely friendly staff, with more diverse plates than most Vietnamese restaurants around downtown. Already hoping to come back!
What a lovely place! The food was delicious but the service was even better!
The owner took the time to show me the Vietnamese way to experience the dish, customising my pho to make it super traditional & was so proud of his food, which was delightful.
Told me i shouldn't need to add any condiments to my pho because he already seasons it well & it was absolutely true…best beef broth i've had so far.
Not kidding - best pho I've ever had & I'm coming from NYC! The pho itself is delicious, but the experience & history with the Anh, the owner, is what makes it perfect. He explained to us every step of how to enjoy the pho perfectly from how to eat the egg to when to put in each side (to have 4 different tastes!) This is as authentic as it can get, with broth cooking for days & ingredients coming directly from Vietnam - nothing frozen! The traditional Northern Vietnamese style makes this pho distinct & delicious. End your meal with a cup of Vietnamese coffee, a sweet & bitter combo that is the perfect last note. You must stop by if you can, you will not regret your experience!
Perfect soups , refreshing herbs, quality meat , & the dipping sauces & spicy sauces are very authentic made with Vietnamese ingredients. Refreshing flavours . Also when the owners cares & make sure to give great recommends when you are ordering, it shows that they care!
absolutely delicious! wonderful to meet the owner who's very passionate about sharing an authentic Vietnamese experience!
Great authentic Vietnamese food great atmosphere & super friendly chef.
My friends & I enjoyed a delicious meal here while visiting Montreal. When we first entered, it seemed that there would be no seating available, until the owner quickly put together group seating for all six of us. From that moment, we knew we were in for a great experience. The restaurant was very busy when we went, & as such, it did take some time for us to get our food. However, the atmosphere was both fun & comfortable, giving us quality time to talk to one anotherr. Even better, the food more than made up for any wait. I ordered the chicken vermicelli, & most of my friends had the beef pho. The owner came out & gave us excellent advice on how to mix & enjoy our respective dishes, along with great conversation. Each dish was made fresh with real care & dedication; it's clear that everyone who works there puts love into the meals they create, ensuring diners will enjoy them too. To top it off, the Vietnamese iced coffee they served was the best I'd ever had. It was an incredible experience overall. If you're looking for a good meal in a great place, go to Pho Anh.
As a member of the table from New York mentioned in Kyrie's review, from the moment we entered this restaurant, my four friends & I knew we were in for a treat. Seeing this family owned business run with such incredibly excellent service gave us much confidence in the meal we were about to enjoy. As we sat down, we were met by the owner of the restaurant, who not only gave excellent advice on how to properly enjoy each dish, but was additionally incredibly personable & made our experience unbelievably fun. The food was out of this world. After enjoying the richest, most complex & enjoyable broth ever served with pho, we then rounded out our meal with the most immaculate, soothing iced Vietnamese coffee we had ever tasted. The food & drinks did not only taste delicious, but were additionally good for the soul. To top it all off, the ambiance was beautiful, & it was clear how much love was put into every meal. I truly can not recommend this place enough.
Excellent, fresh & inventive. Vietnamese favourites notched up next level with North Vietnamese flavours. We'll be back !
Truly one of the best Vietnamese dining experiences I have ever had. Anh, the owner, is incredibly kind & gave us great advice on not only what to pick but also how to enjoy the meal in the traditional Vietnamese way! Great options, amazing food, & even better staff. Can't wait to come back!
northern plates, the pho ga is extremely good. the noodles pho are quality. beef salad is very good as well, it has a personal touch. bun chan meats are better than in hanoi. my only ask is to give more herbs!! Vietnamese food is all about herbs!
So, I was in a mood: specifically, a mood for Vietnamese food. My taste buds were chanting "pho ga, pho ga!" So off we went in search of that magical chicken soup. They gave us a choice: clear rice noodles or "regular." Staff suggested the clear noodles, saying that's the traditional way they roll in Vietnam, & who am I to argue with noodle wisdom? So, my partner & I went for it, & let me tell you: chef's kiss. Tasty, delicious, & had me wondering if I could buy a lifetime supply. Oh, & there was a dipping sauce for the chicken-delightful little bonus. Plus, free water! Because hydration is important, kids. & get this: the bathroom had Michael Jackson album covers plastered all over. As an MJ fan, I might've done a little moonwalk right then & there. Total damage? About $37 with tip, & for two people? Total bargain 😉
Great authentic Vietnamese restaurant with authentic Pho soup. Best Pho in Montreal! Service was good even though the restaurant was busy. I highly recommend it!
The chicken pho was delicious! Very big portion, the noodles were thick & tasty, & the broth was refreshing. The chicken pieces were a little too fatty for my taste, but cooked perfectly. The lady that served me was very helpful & kind, & the vietnamese coffee was lovely!
Friendly service. Got the B2. Was very happy they didn't look it bean sprouts in their Pho. Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk was delicious. Nice space.
We sought out Pho Anh on a rainy miserable night, & were not disappointed. Service was excellent, the single server running hither & yon to look after everybody. She was cheerful, friendly, professional & so very sweet & kind. Our dinner was fantastic, & the pho took us back to our visits to Vietnam. Pho differs from region to region in Vietnam, so this pho is different than what we have in Vancouver, but it was fantastic! Very flavourful, courtesy of the high quality ingredients & the broth that cooks for three days. The pork & chicken & rice dish was equally excellent. One of the best Vietnamese restaurant experiences we have ever had, & we'd heartily recommend Pho Anh if you are in Montreal.
