One of the best pho experiences I have had. Authentic flavors, exquisite textures, & friendly service. I wish the business all the success in the future.
By far the best in the city. Fully handcrafted with so many subtle touches if you know good Pho & Vietnamese.
We had excellent crispy wings (a little sweet, delicious), bun cha (incredible, smoky meat & sweet broth with crisp vegetables), & the famous four colour steamed broken rice. I would've normally included a picture of all this but we were hungry, it was delicious & forgot to take pictures. Will definitely be back for delicious food & kind, friendly service. Very highly recommended, thank you!
Well I must say this was BEST PHO I've ever had. I'd like to think I've had a lot of pho in my life & to my surprise I've never had this type of authentic Pho from Hanoi. Pho will never be the same!!! Our server shared with us the history & how it takes three days to make the broth. Truly a thing of beauty!!!!!!! You may not even notice this place when you're walking on Rue St-Denis because it's hidden behind construction & in a basement, but trust me you must go.
I got a bowl of chicken vermicelli & it was the most bizarre chicken I've ever had. I'm not sure if it was badly butchered & chewy yet super tough for that reason, or if the meat itself was on its way to expiring but it was not the most pleasant experience. It also was criminally underseasoned lol
The soup is unique &'clean', the meats super tender & the homemade sauces on the table are very tasty. Nice variation to some of the more'westernized' pho in the city. The fried pork belly was a nice start to the meal as well. Ignore the renos & boarded up signs outside, go down the steps & try this spot. You will not regret it.
The food was good overall decent broth (7/10), but very mid meat (fatty/tough). The noodles are thick if you are used to the thinner ones - not a negative, just a note. They also don't provide chop suey or thai basil (update: the style pho that they serve does not usually have those condiments) but they do provide rarer condiments which is interesting (picked garlic, lemongrass sauce, etc). Their'fresh' chilis are frozen & not very spicy (they only bring one even when you ask for more).
Fast service, but not very friendly (not unfriendly though). The atmosphere is nice & quiet, with good spacing in between tables.
I'd say this is a must try restaurant when you are in Montreal. We went here on the first day we visited Montreal, it's kinda suprised me.
When we first saw the entrance, we were kind of hesitate as we confused if we went to the wrong place. However, after we enter the door, it's cozy & warm inside.
We ordered Saigon Crispy Wings in Savory Fish Sauce, Saigon Beef Meatball Noodle Soup, Saigon Four Color Steamed Broken Rice & Hà N?i Charbroiled Pork Vermicelli. Unfortunately, I didn't take many photos as I couldn't wait to eat, I was starving...
Saigon Beef Meatball is tasty, can feel that's homemade meatballs. Charbroiled pork chop & charbroiled chicken for Saigon Four Color Steamed Broken Rice were soft & juicy, but the rice was not enough for us. You might need to add rice if you have a good appetite. Hà N?i Charbroiled Pork Vermicelli was really good, the taste was something new to me.
I would recommend you to order Saigon Four Color Steamed Broken Rice & Hà N?i Charbroiled Pork Vermicelli if you visit them.
Food was great! Will be back for more! Chef came to discuss the food, so skilled!
Lovely decor, excellent service, delicious food.
There was am orchid on our table; we sat right by the wondering Buddha...
i've lived in ny sf & la & this place still might be the best pho i've ever had
Délicieuse Pho, le service est très courtois. Une des dames a pris le temps de me montrer son mix perso de sauce à faire pour la soupe que j'ai choisi & a fait de même pour la personne avec moi.
I can during lunch on a Monday & it was so chill! The ambience was nice! Food came out fast & was yummy! I also tried their vietnamese coffee which was so good!
Best pho I've had in Canada for real! Other items are also all delicious.
Une véritable perle rare. Pour une expérience authentique de la cuisine vietnamienne, vous êtes à la bonne adresse!
