I'd say this is a must try restaurant when you are in Montreal. We went here on the first day we visited Montreal, it's kinda suprised me.
When we first saw the entrance, we were kind of hesitate as we confused if we went to the wrong place. However, after we enter the door, it's cozy & warm inside.
We ordered Saigon Crispy Wings in Savory Fish Sauce, Saigon Beef Meatball Noodle Soup, Saigon Four Color Steamed Broken Rice & Hà N?i Charbroiled Pork Vermicelli. Unfortunately, I didn't take many photos as I couldn't wait to eat, I was starving...
Saigon Beef Meatball is tasty, can feel that's homemade meatballs. Charbroiled pork chop & charbroiled chicken for Saigon Four Color Steamed Broken Rice were soft & juicy, but the rice was not enough for us. You might need to add rice if you have a good appetite. Hà N?i Charbroiled Pork Vermicelli was really good, the taste was something new to me.
I would recommend you to order Saigon Four Color Steamed Broken Rice & Hà N?i Charbroiled Pork Vermicelli if you visit them.
(Mon ami a acheté 2 pots)
One of a kind!
Quality is excellent, flavor is unique to the northern region of Vietnam! Noodles, meat & broth are on point! Sauce & sides are amazing & home made as well. Unreal service!
Most unique flavoured Pho I've ever had! Northern style soup, the owner explained to us how to prepare the soup (mix it) before we started eating it. Homemade fermented hot sauce, pickled chilis & garlic. Bonafide Vietnamese, this is my spot
Fresh & tasty food. The owner takes pride in making his own hoisin & hot sauce. Both were very tasty with our meals.
Definitely recommend checking this place out!
Wow, this is so good!! Everything is so flavourful & fresh. Highlights included the shrimp papaya salad (so fresh & crunchy!), the 3-day pho broth, the homemade fermented hot sauce & the broken rice. You can feel the heart. I can't wait to be back!
Probably the best Pho in Montreal. Love their fish sauce wings & the rare beef pho. Small restaurant but service was extremely attentive
Phenomenal pho. The broth is super flavorful & good amount of meat. Spring rolls with the fish sauce is excellent. Despite being a seasoned pho consumer, I learned some new techniques from the owner. He prepared a dipping sauce on our table (hoisin + fresh garlic + pickled jalapeno + chili oil) which was perfect to dip the meat in before each bite. Also my wife got an egg with her pho & the owner walked us through his preferred method in devouring it in one shot haha. Overall fantastic & we will be back!
We got the A4 Crispy Wings in Savory Fish Sauce. The owner explained that the sauce is his recipe, & it was excellent. Would recommend as a starter for sure!!
I got the V1 Charbroiled Pork as my main & I haven't had anything like it - the spices used in the sauce were delicious & I didn't want it to end. I was so satisfied after my meal. I would highly recommend & will be back next time I'm in Montreal!
Perfect soups , refreshing herbs, quality meat , & the dipping sauces & spicy sauces are very authentic made with Vietnamese ingredients. Refreshing flavours . Also when the owners cares & make sure to give great recommends when you are ordering, it shows that they care!
Best pho I've had in a long time. The flavours in the broth are just awesome. & the owner came & mixed a special spicy sauce on the side. It was just delicious.
So, I was in a mood: specifically, a mood for Vietnamese food. My taste buds were chanting "pho ga, pho ga!" So off we went in search of that magical chicken soup. They gave us a choice: clear rice noodles or "regular." Staff suggested the clear noodles, saying that's the traditional way they roll in Vietnam, & who am I to argue with noodle wisdom? So, my partner & I went for it, & let me tell you: chef's kiss. Tasty, delicious, & had me wondering if I could buy a lifetime supply. Oh, & there was a dipping sauce for the chicken-delightful little bonus. Plus, free water! Because hydration is important, kids. & get this: the bathroom had Michael Jackson album covers plastered all over. As an MJ fan, I might've done a little moonwalk right then & there. Total damage? About $37 with tip, & for two people? Total bargain 😉
I've had pho my whole life in many many places in Montréal & Toronto & thought I knew what pho was......until I stumbled on this gem. Everything is homemade down to the sauces & is hands down the best pho I've ever had. The broth is rich the meat is never frozen therefore tender & the homemade sauces are exquisite. This place is so good that it ruined all my other favorite places I thought I loved. On top of it all the waitress & the owner are absolute sweethearts & attentive. My wife & I will be back...many times. Thank you!
Currently visiting Montreal & stumbled upon this restaurant. It did not disappoint! The bun cha was so authentic, it reminded me of the food in Hanoi! The flavors were perfect & the egg roll was nice & crispy. The pho ga was delicious as well, very clean & simple but you could taste how fresh the ingredients were. There was also a lemon pepper sauce that you could dip the chicken in for more flavor. Would definitely come here again :)
The Pho was delicious & the owner explained about the sauces & taught us how to properly enjoy authentic Pho. Thank you!
I cannot recommend this Vietnamese restaurant enough! We ordered our usual dishes, B1 - Rare Beef & RC - Steamed Broken Rice Charbroiled Chicken, & they were absolutely amazing. The broth was incredibly clean & flavorful, & for the first time ever, we didn't feel sluggish after indulging in pho. The meats were tender & deliciously chewy. What sets this place apart is their commitment to quality. The owner shared with us that they use only fresh meat & onion to enhance the soup, omitting bean sprouts. Additionally, they provide hot pepper sauce, sliced ginger, & sliced pepper, which added even more depth to our pho experience. We're only staying in Montreal for two days, but we're already planning to revisit this gem. My only wish is for them to offer larger portions for us big foodies! :P
