The pho was very tasty & filling, I was expecting more flavour in the broth but I was satisfied with my choice!
Love this place. Pickled garlic on the side is awesome. Their broth is crazy flavorful too! Can't wait to go back!!
Great service, best pho broth I've had in a long time. My new favorite spot. Don't add anything to your broth, it's art.
We had excellent crispy wings (a little sweet, delicious), bun cha (incredible, smoky meat & sweet broth with crisp vegetables), & the famous four colour steamed broken rice. I would've normally included a picture of all this but we were hungry, it was delicious & forgot to take pictures. Will definitely be back for delicious food & kind, friendly service. Very highly recommended, thank you!
Well I must say this was BEST PHO I've ever had. I'd like to think I've had a lot of pho in my life & to my surprise I've never had this type of authentic Pho from Hanoi. Pho will never be the same!!! Our server shared with us the history & how it takes three days to make the broth. Truly a thing of beauty!!!!!!! You may not even notice this place when you're walking on Rue St-Denis because it's hidden behind construction & in a basement, but trust me you must go.
The food was good overall decent broth (7/10), but very mid meat (fatty/tough). The noodles are thick if you are used to the thinner ones - not a negative, just a note. They also don't provide chop suey or thai basil (update: the style pho that they serve does not usually have those condiments) but they do provide rarer condiments which is interesting (picked garlic, lemongrass sauce, etc). Their'fresh' chilis are frozen & not very spicy (they only bring one even when you ask for more).
Fast service, but not very friendly (not unfriendly though). The atmosphere is nice & quiet, with good spacing in between tables.
A man, who I assume was the restaurant's owner, was incredibly kind, informative, & clearly passionate about his place.
He came over to give us a little history about pho & its different varieties as well as welcoming us.
I've never tried pho before because it's been hard to find vegetarian-friendly options. The owner let us know that not only did they have vegetarian choices, but the broth is also made completely separate from anything containing meats.
I really appreciated that! It was delicious, satisfying, & definitely something I'll enjoy again.
The restaurant isn't big, & seating is limited, but its popularity is undeniable. During peak dining hours, it's packed with people.
The beef bone broth is incredibly flavorful, not oily or greasy at all, & gets better with every sip! The noodles are also wonderfully smooth & delicious.
The owners make their own condiments: pickled chili peppers, pickled garlic, Sichuan peppercorn chili oil, etc. As long as you can handle spicy & salty flavors, the owner won't stop you from adding as much as you like!
I'll definitely go again!
