The tonkotsu ramen left me craving it weeks after. The hamachi crudo was pretty good, perfect as a fresh appetizer before our main. The service was upscale quality. It came to around $45 after tax & tip.
Good ramen, awesome service, in Montreal in a geeky atmosphere.
Good food; good service; nice vibe. I do wish, however, that there were more vegetarian or vegan options. If customizable options exist, I think they should be better advertised.
Really tasty, best ramen in Montreal. I tried the tonkotsu ramen & the porc is tender & tasty, really recomend
This place is the GOAT! Love the food, love the vibe, love the price! Everything is perfect, highly recommend to any ramen lover !
The ambience of this place is great! It gives off a cyberpunk/stray vibe. Service was very good too. Food took a little too long but the server was very attentive. As for the food, my partner & I ordered the mazemen & the tonkotsu ramen...first few bites we were amazed by the flavour! But after a few more bites it gets old. Overall both dishes were too salty. The menu is small & doesnt offer much variety for food (yes for drinks). Not a kid-friendly place (nor picky-eater-friendly). It's also very expensive, $70 for two people, 2 ramens, 1 non-alcoholic drink & 15% tip.
Perfect ramen please if you are looking for a nice urban Tokyo resto concept with good ramen 🍜 I love the art & ambience, is really unique. Food is good & there is a lot of choices. I put 4 stars because I consider prices are higher that other ramen places with the same quality.
On a vraiment aimé, on recommande
The atmosphere was amazing! However, my crème de bacon ramen was honestly a bit too salty :') I was expecting a more mild taste, something like carbonara pasta, but instead it was more intense.. take something else if you're not a fan of salty food like me. Other than that, it was a great experience!
Visited during a recent trip to Montreal while in the downtown area. The restaurant atmosphere is a futuristic vibe with Japanese influences throughout the restaurant. They are better known for their ramen & mazemen (brothless ramen) dishes, as well as various Japanese inspired side dishes. Their best known mazemen bowl which is their Neotokyo Extra which comes with added chashu, an ajitama egg on top of their regular Neotokyo Mazemen bowl. It is a sizeable portion for one especially since it comes with an added bowl of rice to clean up the leftover sauce used for the mazemen. The flavours all mix very well & is a unique way of eating ramen as a whole. Overall, a decent spot for Japanese ramen & for an izakaya-like experience. Service was generally very friendly while I was there & my order came at a reasonable time despite the packed atmosphere. Recommended to come earlier to avoid the peak evening dinner time as there can be a bit of a wait.
Third time coming here & I am never disappointed! The decorations are on point & very immersive. Service is 100%. If you are looking for an amazing soup try out the TanTan soup. Definitely on the top of my list specifically with the cold season up ahead.
Tout était excellent 👍👍👍 Un dessert japonnais style street food (Taiyaki, etc.) compléterait l'expérience 😁 Je recommande vivement !
On a saturday night we were informed that it would be a 30-40 minute wait which turned out to be almost one hour. When we asked when our turn was coming, the girl working at the reception responded that we were next. Upon waiting for another 10-15 minutes & seeing people being seated before us, we inquired politely again to understand if indeed we were next. The receptionist responded (& I quote word by word):"I cannot know exactly how much of a wait it would be, as I have told you many times before. The table paid their bill but they are still sitting, I don't have the ability to read into the future." My boyfriend & I were mad about how rude she has been treating a customer who's been waiting to sit for almost an hour. Clearly she also needs some math lessons as she was adamant that we had been waiting for 30 minutes to begin with. My boyfriend responded by explaining how much we have been waiting & that we just need to understand how much longer it would take to go to a different restaurant instead. Her response was "stop bothering me so many times". Though my boyfriend tried to respond, she raised her voice in front of all the other customers & started yelling at my boyfriend "shut up". We were completely shocked as to how disrespectful someone can be towards a customer inquiring about wait time. My boyfriend demanded to speak to the manager which she completely ignored so he physically had to make his way to the kitchen. Fortunately, the restaurant has an amazing manager who was very understanding of the situation. He was also very apologetic & offered us drinks after he immediately seated us. He really changed our experience, along with the very lovely waiter who served us. Advice to management: ensure your staff is properly trained if they are not inherently respectful or hire staff who are brought up by learning to be respectful towards other people. Special thanks & shoutout to the manager.
