An absolute gem! Veranda takes Indian fusion to another level with creative, beautifully presented dishes that are bursting with flavor. The service was exceptional, the manager Mohit went above & beyond to make us feel genuinely welcome. Chef Abijay's creations are sensational.
Their warmth & attention to detail made the entire experience even more memorable. Easily one of the best dining experiences we've had in Montreal-we'll definitely be back!
Very nice Indian food in Old Montreal. It's very busy in the evening. Reservations are required. Parking is very difficult. There's a lot a block from the restaurant but gets filled very fast. You may need to go to the amusement park area across to park & walk back to the restaurant. Strongly recommend Uber.
The palak paneer & dal makhani were both delicious! The palak paneer was rich, creamy, & full of flavor, while the dal makhani was perfectly cooked with a wonderful smoky, buttery taste. Both dishes were fresh, well-seasoned, & paired perfectly with naan. Great food, excellent taste, & definitely worth trying. I'll be back again!
Overall an excellent experience from top (start) to the bottom (end). The food is really good & you will not be disappointed. Service was excellent & outside patio was an excellent choice.
Visited with my family yesterday. The food was good , & dal makhani was a highlight. However, the service was a disappointment. It took 10 minutes just to receive the menu, & we had to ask for water ourselves, which is the bare minimum. Even after asking, it took almost 30 minutes to arrive. With only 4 tables occupied, the wait times were unacceptable the food too took long time to arrive.Very poor management.
We live down the street from Veranda & have had the pleasure of dining there 3 times. An excellent addition to Old Montreal, my wife & I currently have Veranda ranked as the best Indian restaurant in the city. Flavours are familiar but also unique & elevated. Portions are excellent for sharing. Service/ ambiance is excellent plus the staff are very baby friendly. Recommended: the ghee lamb roast & mangalorean shrimp. Prices are reasonable considering quality & location
