I was a little skeptical about ordering, since I had never been impressed with any Indian cuisine before.
I ordered via Uber & waited about an hour due to the distance, which is acceptable. Although it was delivered, I thought the presentation was quite fair. Amazingly, when my meal arrived, it was still warm.
The butter chicken is truly delectable. It is very tasty, the chicken is soft, juicy, & not dry. It is like comfort food; it literally melts in your mouth, leaving you wanting more.
I highly recommend naan garlic to all fellow garlic enthusiasts, just like me. The aroma is powerful & delicious. The consistency is incredibly tender, delicate & easy to tear, yet not overly thick. Its delicate texture complements the main course perfectly.
The samosa tart had an intriguing flavour profile. Each bite began with a sweet flavour, only to be followed by a refreshing yogurt taste. The vegetables are not overcooked, which is a positive aspect.
The gulab jamun profiteroles were truly delicious. They were creamy & not overly sweet, providing just the right balance.
I would like to commend Chef Jernail for his exceptional culinary skills & delectable dishes.
It's a real treat to come across a chef who truly excels in the art of cooking.
One of the best meals I've ever had! The food was amazing. Our waitress, Durga, was incredibly friendly, attentive, & quick. She provided some of the best service I've ever experienced. Shubham & Mary Jane was also fantastic & made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
There are few times I feel the need to write a review right when I'm finishing up at a restaurant. This was one of those times. The jamun cloud can't be missed. & regarding the mains, you won't be disappointed with anything you choose - one standout was how tender the chicken was in the tandoori chicken & chicken tikka masala. It's not your standard chicken tikka either, the masala has depth & isn't too heavy. One thing I recommend is bumping up the spice levels to high on everything unless your heat tolerance is extremely low. I could barely feel the heat on medium. My only gripe is not finding seating outside as we came in without a reservation... which means I have an excuse to make another visit when I come back to Montreal. Overall highly recommend!
Hands down the best Indian food we've had in Montreal! We visited Veranda twice during our trip because the food was that good. Every dish was flavorful, authentic, & cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, & the atmosphere was warm & inviting. If you're looking for amazing Indian cuisine in Montreal, Veranda is a must-visit. Highly recommend!✨
My favorite Indian restaurant in Montreal, absolutely delicious food & great atmosphere & service. I ordered butter chicken with basmati rice & butter naan. The butter chicken was nice & hot & very flavorful even at medium spice; it paired well with the basmati rice & butter naan, which was warm, soft, & tasted freshly made. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Montreal & is craving Indian food.
Absolutely exquisite. The service was prompt, friendly, & helpful. The food was amazing. It has a casual yet proper atmosphere. Would highly recommend!
High quality Indian restaurant. It's a shame there are so many bad reviews for Valentine's Day, which was obviously just a one off busy, possibly understaffed night. The food here is of absolutely excellent quality. The Mangsher Ghugni was one of the best lamb curries I've ever had, paired with the Chicken Tikka Masala, & the vegetable pilau rice & roti were the perfect accompaniment. Good beer & wine choices & they do really good cocktails too. Highly recommend.
