Dans l'ensemble, Monarque est décrit comme un établissement élégant et vivant, offrant une cuisine française raffinée, une excellente carte des vins et un service attentif, où les convives louent souvent des plats phares comme le confit de canard, l'os à moelle et la bouillabaisse, tout en notant quelques plats principaux parfois inégaux et un éclairage trop vif dans la brasserie.
Je ne sais pas qui a eu l'excellente initiative d'engager l'incroyable, l'incomparable, le sublime Philippe nous ayant fait l'honneur de son service impeccable mais c'était de loin la meilleure decision de cet établissement si charmant.
De tiens à preciser de part & d'autre que Florian est un adorable plaisir pour les yeux surtout quand ils sont en binome.
Je me vois difficilement les séparer tellement l'ambiance est à sont paroxysme lorsqu'ils sont ensemble.
Nourriture délectable, service impeccable, ambiance difficile à égaler.
Un must parmis les endroits uppé de montréal. Agréablement surpris de cette découverte qui resteras, plus souvent que je l'imaginais, dans mes prochaines sortie favorites à Montreal !!!
Très belle expérience chez Monarca. Endroit magnifique, ambiance chaleureuse & service attentionné. La nourriture était délicieuse & bien présentée. On sent la qualité dans chaque détail. Je recommande sans hésiter & j'y retournerai avec plaisir.

Absolutely stellar & unforgettable dinners / lunches in'la salle a manger' of Monarque. Carefully thought & masterly executed, each dish brought its magic. The tuna tartare with the foie gras custard & bison tartare were phenomenal. The ris de veaux was equally fantastic. The pintage + agnolotti & bison steak with bourbon sauce were great as well. But clearly the star of the night was the shiso apple with gin & celery dessert...Super balanced, original in texture & flavors, it was probably the best dessert I have ever tasted in my life! Added to the palate experience is the impeccable service by Gustav & Stephanie from the beginning to the end. What a blast!
I have now been to Monarque 10+ times & it never disappoints. Consistency & excellence in the kitchen & on the floor are trademarks of this always packed restaurant.
Les plats étaient vraiment impeccables. Ils présentent la cuisine française avec une touche moderne, & il y a une technique impressionnante dans chaque assiette. Surtout les fruits de mer & les plats de viande, qui étaient très réussis. C'est d'ailleurs pour cette qualité qu'ils figurent dans le guide Michelin.
Excellent restaurant, suitable for any occasion. The food is delicious, the service is impeccable & the overall setting is great. I definitely recommend & will come back.

Their service is definitely the worst during my trip. The waiter ignored me 3 times & decided to service other tables. Not sure if it's because we are Asian not white. Drinks are wrong, never added water. I will never come again.
Amazing night. The food was great, the service was impeccable, the atmosphere was also very good. The Desserts were good but not amazing but the rest was very good. It was better than some of the bistrots that I went to in Paris more recently... one of the best meals I have had in a while. The
Cuisse de Canard was as good as I would get in Paris... also had a pretty well served wine list & the waiter really knew his menu - was a professional through & through.
I came a few days ago with my family. I had posted before but lost access to that account, so I'm sharing it again here. It's not my first visit, & it definitely won't be my last. The service is warm & attentive, & the food is consistently on point. Every time feels like a great experience.
My appetite opened the minute I walked into the dining room! Love the open kitchen concept & the open cellar & curing meats on display as well. The Calanges mocktail was a beautiful discovery & the wine list! Enough said. Service was on point. Every dish was succulent! The grilled foie gras was a perfect balance of crispy & tender, acid & fatty. Absolutely beautiful presentation & flavors. The crab tart was a bit too light on flavor & was served a bit too cold to allow the delicate seasonings to shine. The P.E.I. steak dish was a feast for the senses. The salad dressing was a superb fit for the greens & the endives & the gratin dauphinois was the icing on the cake. The evening was an absolute delight! Will definitely return.
Brasserie française. Excellente adresse du vieux port. Plats magnifiquement exécutés. Goûts & saveurs au rendez vous. Pieuvre exquise. Asperges blanches & sauce gribiche s'agrémente bien avec la verdure bien citronnée. Joue exceptionnelle, mais j'aurais pris plus de purée. Effiloché d'agneau super savoureux. Un peu déçu par le
Side de chou-fleur beurre de sauge. Il y avait plus de verdure ( épinard?) & de câpres que de chou-fleur. Déception aussi pour le gâteau reine elisabeth. Mon conjoint, lui, l'a apprécié. Ce gâteau est lié à beaucoup de souvenirs & cette version froide ne m'a pas plu.
Classic brasserie dishes but executed to perfection. We got the hangar steak, the confit duck, & the veal cheeks. The steak was cooked to perfection but the confit was duck was excellent. Probably the best confit duck I've ever had. The sauce for the veal cheeks was a little bit salty but flavour was good & the meat was tender. The portions for the main course are quite large, so you would be full even if you just ordered a main but we loved the food so much we also got dessert. We got chocolate cake, the Queen Elizabeth, & an eclair for dessert. All of them were excellent but my favourite was the Queen Elizabeth as it comes with sour cream ice cream which I thought was a very creative addition.
I have been to both rooms in the past, but only returned recently given how long it has been since last visit. Sincerely, took for granted how stunning the decor this restaurant is. The service is top notch, the food elevated & overall just an amazing dining experience. The mushroom gnocchi & the dry aged rib eye were just fantastic, & the fries were incredible. There is a reason why it is so often fully booked. This place is professionally run & it shows in the consistency over the years.
