Wonderful experience. Hot oyster dish was amazing, as was the rotelle pasta with oxtail. Pasta & oysters were cooked & seasoned perfectly. Our friendly & attentive waiter provided me with a wonderful cocktail, made to my "specifications." I didn't know exactly what I wanted, so he asked for my preferences & whipped up the perfect blend of not-too-sweet & thirst-quenching. Highly recommend.
Food was absolute trash. Ordered the steak & it was served cold. The asparagus was basically raw. The oysters were good though. Server was really nice. The ambiance was cool.

Very pleased with our visit to Jellyfish, the staff was exceptional & accommodating of our large business party with additional attendees & my specific dietary needs. All of the food was fresh, visually pleasing & delicious. Our waitress was outstanding with service & recommendations. The wine was delicious & the cocktails as well. Absolutely have to get the s'mores dessert - we were so full we split one & the ice cream sandwich so everyone didn't have to miss out.
The food is divine, & the service was excellent. Nice ambiance especially at night, but it can be extremely loud. One of my go to restaurants here in Montreal.
I totally loved the overall experience here! I would recommend booking way ahead of your dinner. The tables indoor get booked really fast.
We got a table outdoor dinning area. It was beautiful with lights & flowers. Could get a bit cold so make sure you have a sweater.
The food was absolutely amazing. Every bite was a delight. I loved all the rich flavours of the food. The chicken & Rotelle were my best dishes. Can’t describe the feeling of that chicken in the butter sauce that accompanied it.
There was also the fried fish(I can’t remember the name) it was fresh & well prepared. It also had an amazing sauce to go with it. I ordered for medium rare steak & it was yummy!
The Rotelle came with oxtail & mushrooms in it & portion is large so can be shared by 2. We were stuffed & had a wonderful time here.
It was my birthday & I got a complementary piece of cake on the house. The cocktails were great as well.
The service here was exceptional. They made sure we got our drinks topped regularly. They were patient, explained the dishes, made great recommendations & overall were courteous.
Overall, this was an awesome experience. I literally had zero complains. Lol 🤣😂 except the fact that I was over fed. Every meal was delicious. I will definitely love to come back for my dates.
Food was ok. I was expecting something more refined. The halibut was very good, but the Bok Choy was too sweet. Service was great. Atmosphere was nothing special.
Mom & I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We sat on the terrace, & our waitress was Mylène. The ambiance was calm. It was pleasant to be able to hear each other speak without straining our voices. The food was delicious. It was a playful exploration of complex tastes & textures. Our waitress was amazing. She took very good care of us. What she did for us was probably a more meaningful gift than anyone could imagine. Thank you Mylène for your kindness.
Perfection. If I could only use one word to describe my experience at Jellyfish Crudo + Charbon, that would be it. From the reception at the door by the owner, to the waitress who made us feel like regulars, albeit it being our first time there, to the Maitre D who was able to accommodate a last minute request for a table, everything was flawless. Chef Mathieu's inspired menu is good enough to go toe to toe with any other restaurant in Quebec, the wine list is vast & affordable & every dish coming out of that kitchen leaves you wanting more. Very rarely has a restaurant left this kind of impression on me & I now find myself counting the days until I go back.
Jellyfish was a grand surprise. It was quite noisy when we entered so we assumed it was just another Montreal noisy scene. However, once we tuned out the "noise", we were so surprised by the quality of the food & service. I hope they can keep up the great food & they will be a new success in Old Montreal, which needs more really good restaurants.
Beautiful restaurant. I had started with the glazed carrots with ricotta. Sublime. As a main, we all took the cod which melted in your mouth, the only down side was the side salad which had too much vinegar.
Besides that everything else was superb. Very affordable.
We went for a dinner on a wednesday night after hearing a lots of good things about that place. I was really excited & thrill to try that place. Everything was good at the beginning. Until the main plats. We had to wait 45 min to get our main plats, & trust me. Do not take the chicken plats. It was more than dry with a taste of burning. our waitress should of verify for our orders. That was a big unprofesionnalist from her & we had to wait for at least 15 mins for a glass of wine. I could understand chicken takes 20 mins to cook, but an extra 25 mins ? Her reason was the chef had to do a rotation in the kitchen. Are you kidding me ? Giving me a lie. I made it clear to her that i was unhappy with her services. It's such a waste, that a waitress made us having such a bad experiences. Next time, offer a wine glass on the house or a drink when you see the mains plats is taking a long time. & don't say your glass is coming when we had to wait 15 mins.
It's too bad that was your experience - especially with the chicken. The half-chicken with boursin is out of this world. I'm not so so into raw, so I order it more often than other dishes. But you're right about the customer service. It's everything, isn't it. Great job for making it clear you were unhappy if that was the case. What I've seen with friends that own restaurants is that one of the worst things for them is when they don't get to know your areas of dissatisfaction, especially when they want nothing more than to please you.
I went to this restaurant for my birthday with a few friends. Where do I even begin?! The whole night was a disaster! We ordered & 45 minutes later, still no food. We tell our waitress & instead of apologizing, she bluntly said "Let me check what time I punched in the orders," as if we were lying. She comes back & tells us that we ordered 40 minutes ago. By then, we were ready to leave! The front manager comes & tells us the chicken takes 25 minutes to cook. How do you explain the extra 20 minutes that we've been waiting?! She then tells us we'll each get a free dessert as a compensation. It's not that we couldn't afford to pay, but I would expect more professionalism from this type of restaurant. She then offers 25% off each person's bill. I was so hungry & didn't want to go through all the trouble of looking for another restaurant, so I accepted the offer. The bread & butter were cold; it felt like eating cardboard. Everyone's plate was bland. At that point, I just ate out of hunger. When it was time for the bill, the manager says only the birthday girl gets a free dessert. We agreed on everyone getting a free dessert plus 25% off on the bill. Each time we asked to speak to the manager, she would walk around avoiding our table or tell the waitress to come ask us how we are doing. During the whole night, we basically ate for 10 minutes because we were really hungry, & spent a total of 3 hours waiting for the manager & waitress to serve us. Manager is a liar & unprofessional. The waitress also lacks professionalism when speaking to customers; she was giving us attitude. Never once did the manager nor the waitress apologize. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT go to this restaurant! Worst dining experience I've ever had!
