Very disappointed in this restaurant. I don't know where to start. While the waitress was very nice it took a very long time for us to be served. Special cocktails that we ordered and were recommended to us were very expensive, at least to me.
Every single dish that was brought to us was way too salty. I have never had this happen to every dish. From the flatbread to the ribs and Bavette .On top of that everything was too charred, leaving black pieces on our teeth. Maybe they were having an off night, but seriously ,they should try tasting the food before presenting it to clients.
Beautiful restaurant. I had started with the glazed carrots with ricotta. Sublime. As a main, we all took the cod which melted in your mouth, the only down side was the side salad which had too much vinegar.
Besides that everything else was superb. Very affordable.
Service was fantastic. We never had to wait. The waiters were always around when you needed them.
We tried a variety of dishes. The ones that really stood out were the fried calamari(oh my G-d), they melted in your mouth, Large shrimps that were succulent, and the vine tomatoes that just popped with flavour.
Thank you Tapeo for the great night!!
Sorry guys, but did not enjoy myself. I have been here twice and both times the service was extremely slow.
Guacamole tasted over-ripened, and I just could not eat it.
Too bad as we are missing a good mexican resto in the west island.
We were a large group, and not one of us did not like our experience. From the ordering of drinks, dinner and dessert, we really enjoyed our experience.
I started off with the trio of fish crudo. the presentation was simple and inviting. All three fish melted in your mouth. Main course was the pork cheek. Crispy and not too fatty. It melted in your mouth.
Loved this restaurant.
Every time I come to Milos, you can taste the freshness of each dish. I could live on the crab cakes alone. Simple food done right. Not much else to say except it's definitely a must try.
Such a charming resto. Loved the service, ambiance and food. We asked for recommendations from our server and they were spot on. Will definitely go back.
The foie gras mousse was sublime, as was the cauliflower gratin which was decadent and rich.
Great night out with the girls. Many drinks and appetizers later, we all decided we will definitely come back and try the main courses
Honestly, 5 star service. Very well treated, as if you're family. Would go back here time and time again just for the ambiance.
I have been here a number of times and have tried many different things. All was fantastic, from the halibut with root puree to the rib steak and fries.
Love this place.
I went to Bistro Nolah with my son and had a great time. We started off with the trio appetizer and the fried oysters. I didn't care much for the fried oysters but the trio was amazing. There was scallop ceviche, which melted in your mouth, crab cake, and lastly, grits. I would have licked the bowl. It was that good.
For our mains we had the braised short rib, and my son had the cornish hen Both were very good.
I was very happy that I had finally tried this restaurant. When we left, my son who is 10yrs old looked at me, and said "Thanks Mom for bringing me here, it was great!!"
Happy eating!
Didn't enjoy my experience here even though I have wanted to come here for years.
From the salmon carpaccio which was very good but a very small portion for the price to the bland beef tenderloin to the boring tiramisu.
Would I come back? Yes if only to see if they were having an off night.
I really like this restaurant. The service is always great and knowledgable. I've had the tuna tartar on two occasions and both times it was fresh and delicious. Beautifully presented. As the main course i had the short ribs, and again, for the second time, it was done to perfection. It melted in your mouth. My husband had the pork belly which he also said was fantastic. We were four of us and we tried for dessert the lemon meringue, nutella canolis and the half baked chocolate chip cookie. Honestly, they were all great. Very sweet and filling. Portions are big. I definitely hope this resto sticks around for awhile.
The only thing I would say is I hope they change their menu or update it consistently as I would want to go more often and try different options.
Again service was amazing.
Worth the trip. The best beef carpaccio I've tasted thus far. Melted in your mouth. The bavette was expertly prepared and melted in your mouth. Our waitress was very attentive and we lacked for nothing. Definitely a must try.
I went here with a friend and we sat in the bar area. Great atmosphere, great service, and fantastic drinks.
We had a couple of appetizers, the roast beef sliders and stuffed mushrooms. Fantastic. Highly recommended. Then obviously we tried the miner's pie. Wow!! A must try.
We had a great experience.
I have been here twice, and both times loved the service which brings the meal to another lever. On the first occasion sat at the bar and on the second at a table in the front of the restaurant. Everyone from the maitre'd to the waiter were attentive.
Again on both occasions we tried the tasting menu and were happy we did, as we tried a variety of different dishes we normally would not have ordered.
Hats off to the chef. Will definitely go back
Fantastic, simple and well prepared food. Fantastic service. Glad I went.
Been there twice and what can I say. Every dish we ordered was completely finished. We all loved it for what it is. A touch above diner food, and great service to go with it. Our party tried the following dishes:
mac and cheese, root beer ribs, caesar salad, bacon wrapped meatloaf, burger. Seriously, it was all gone. A must go.Yum!!!!
One word "Fantastic". I am not one to really want to go to an Italian restaurant since I grew up eating it, but we went there for a 65th birthday party, and oh my, it was delicious.
I ordered the beef carpaccio and it was fresh, light, and melted in your mouth. My husband ate half my dish even though he is the type of person to ask for his hamburger super well done. He's been converted.
Main dish was three huge shrimps, U6, with mango salsa, on a puree of white beans. They were succulent and prepared to perfection.
Dessert was put in the middle of the table for us to share. Nothing really stood out, though nothing was bad. We had the creme caramel, tiramisu, and something else that I can't recall.
It is an expensive restaurant, and though I wouldn't go there every week, I find for quality of food and service it to be well priced and would definitely go back.
Very good, juicy hamburgers Didn't like the fries, but loved the coleslaw. Soft serve ice cream is yummy! If you want a quick burger, that is not overpriced, in a cool ambiance you should try this place.
Fantastic. One of the best, or the best restaurants that I have been too. We tried a multitude of tapa like meals and were very impressed. The oysters with miso gratin have to be the freshest and original oysters that I have tried.
A must, must try.
We also had three different desserts, while I find it was little overpriced they were equally good.
i went here with a friend, based on many reviews and obviously hearing good things about the chef.
Except for the service and ambiance I did not like anything that I ordered. Maybe I was having an off day, or the kitchen was, but everything I ordered was way too salty and not what I expected.
We ordered three appetizers to share.
One being the salmon carpaccio. This was cut in large chunks with lots of salted croutons. Not for me. Though the salmon itself was super fresh.
Next was the tomato and avocado salad with again salted croutons and fried cheese. Too salty. Something I could make at home with less salt and not as expensive,IMO.
Last was the Lobster poutine. Maybe I haven't had good lobster before, but this one tasted raw. Also the lobster bisque sauce on top again was way too salty.
I thought to myself at least my meal could come to a nice ending with a light dessert, but again everything they mentioned on the menu was fried. From fried Mars bars, to doughnuts.
It's a really quaint little restaurant, with great service. We never lacked for anything, but food wise, it just wasn't for me.
Hamburgers were mediocre, and the accompanying fries were boring.
The wrap the chicken wrap came in was way too thick and hid the flavors of all the other ingredients.
Didn't try anything else. I don't think I would go back, especially since there are so many other hamburger joints out there
Went there this evening since we wanted somewhere we could sit outside.
Based on the reviews we weren't sure of what to expect. We started off with the salmon tartar and fried calamari. These were both excellent. Calamari had the perfect texture of crispiness and seasonings. The salmon tartar was very fresh.
Then for the mains we both took a burger, one had the lamb burger and the other the regular burger. The lamb burger was excellent and not gamey tasting at all. The regular was okay if anything.
Service again was great. No complaints. We had a pleasant evening.
I can't even say for the price that this restaurant is good. I had the chicken sub for a quick meal and it was the driest sandwich that I have had. The salad that came with was not better.
Maybe the breakfast is better.
While I keep coming back here for the outside dining I can not say i am a fan of the food. The pizza crust is not cooked enough for my personal taste and the ingredients put on them lack flavor. One pizza we took was the quattro staggione. Clams that tasted like they just came out of the can(tinny), with no spices or seasonings, artichokes same thing, capicolla side which they rolled two pieces and slapped it on was boring and the anchovy side which was fine.
Another pizza we had was the primavera with a bunch of raw vegetable. Onions, broccoli, green peppers. They should have jazzed this up a bit.
We also shared one pasta dish of farfalle which was good and al dente.
House wine not good at all.
Service was very good, and fast.
Went here for a company party on Thursday and the place was super busy. That didn't take away from the service. Our waiter was very nice and informative.
We tried a variety of different specialty rolls and maki's and while some were very good others were just okay.
I tried the Volcano on two different occasions and to me the sweet potato pancake was too heavy for the topping of shredded fish.
The salmon tartar was very good and the different maki rolls were fresh tasing but a little boring.
Again taste if very subjective.
All in all a very pleasant evening. Ambiance very lively.
Went on a Thursday night to try the tapas and had a great time trying a variety of different ones. All were very fresh, presented well, and different from what I normally take. Love the fact that you can try smaller versions of what you would normally take as a main meal.
We tried four different types of oysters which were so very fresh and different from each other. Yum!
A definite must try!
Love this restaurant. Fantastic service, and the few dishes we tried were all above fantastic. First time we went we had the salmon tartar which was very fresh and tasty. Then I had the gnocchi and my friend had the pasta special with sausage. Both were done to perfection.
Have been there already twice and would definitely go back.
My husband has been going here for a couple of years at least once a week and it actually hurts if he misses a week. The steak subs are to die for as well as the sausage ones. The veal salad with the spring mix is also fantastic. Last but not least is the espresso, one of the best in Montreal.
If you want a quick meal or late night snack this is the place to go. No matter how busy they are you'll have your food within 5 to 10 minutes. Definitely recommended.
Went there with another couple and the kids. Great family place. Children's menu is available which is a plus. We ordered the pizza and thought they were great. Also ordered the apple cobbler for dessert. It was delicious.
First time here and thought it was great. Went because of a recommendation of a friend. Had the Veal Cheeks and thought they were excellent. We were in a rush to go see a movie so didn't try anything else but will definitely go back. Love the ambiance.
Went there twice. Once for drinks and a light snack., and another time for dinner with the family. Both times had the salmon tartar. The first time it was excellent. Fresh and tasty. The second time they forgot some ingredients that they had in the first one, (mango).
We also tried the pulled pork sandwich, hummus, mini burgers, and small vegetable salad. It was okay. Not great, but it's still new. Will go back and try it again. Servers were very nice.
Considering price the food is very, very good. Wouldn't call this the best Italian restaurant, but for a quick pizza or pasta dish, it's very good.
Have been going at least once a week for months and am rarely disappointed. Also a quick mention to all the wait staff, they are really great and quick. Service makes a meal so much more enjoyable.
This restaurant left me a little confused. 1) Menu is way to big 2) waiters did not explain enough 3) and wait time between courses way to long. I went here with my husband and picked a few tapas as we have never tried them before. Cod and shrimp patties which tasted exactly the same so we could have ordered the one (they came with salad. We also ordered the fried calamari(very good) (also came with salad) and the marinated pork and sausage (way to oily), and the last thing we ordered was a salad. You would think that the waiter would tell us that most of our tapas came with salad. Anyways the meal started of good then went downhill from there. We arrived at 7:00pm and got out of there at 10: 30pm. Way too long to eat 5 tapas.
The restaurant for what it's worth was packed,so maybe that was the reason for the confusion.
I have been going to this restaurant for about five years and obviously love it. If you are going for the ambiance and hip location don't bother but if you want great sushi and a quiet evening this is a great sushi restaurant.
