The service was excellent; our waitress Dana was very attentive of my allergies & provided us with a great experience. The pieces to share are worth the price tag. An expensive restaurant but worth it to treat yourself!
This restaurant is amazing 🤩
Highly anticipated being my first time & it did not disappoint
Atmosphere sultry & seductive
our waitress Gabrielle was so helpful & very attentive .
The food was delicious & wanted to try everything on the menu .
One of the best restaurants in Montreal 😍😍
Fantastico, delicious & the most wonderful staff. Venora is their ACE!!! Attentive team members make JF a wonderful experience. We loved having very personal conversations with the team. From travelling & surfing in Nicaragua, to expecting a new born. The food experience was epic & will definitely make it must destination for years to come.
Outstanding seafood. Attentive service. Beautiful location in Old Montreal.
I was looking forward to this restaurant as I walk by it every day for work, but it did not live up to the hype. I'll start off by saying the server Verona was pretty good. She was attentive, knowledgeable, & hospitable. The rest of my experience was diminished due to the food portion/value/taste, slow table service, & ambiance. I ordered a 7 oz stake which was definitely closer to 3 oz by the time it arrived. The food took very long to arrive, & I was shocked that there was nothing else but the meat on the plate. There were no vegetables or decorative pieces to liven up the 60 dollar, 3 oz piece of meat dish. Had I known how small it was I would've ordered the 12 oz which was 2$ more. The fries served with the meal could've been made by a toddler they were so basic. I ended up ordering more fries & side bread to try to fill up since we were still starving after eating appetizer sized food as a main. Overall, I'm not sure what this restaurant is trying to be. The ambiance gives way to much questioning as to the vibe is exactly. Overall, food service could be faster, food portions could be larger- especially for the price, & food could be seasoned more. Wouldn't eat here again.
The Crudo portions are a joke for the price.
Tuna slices were like 1cm wide & 2cm long, the fish tartare had to be scraped off the plate, the stuffed mushrooms had no discernible taste.
The only spice you can taste in all dishes is an overwhelming amount of salt.
The steaks & fish were overcooked.
It's nicely decorated, but they need more lighting. Had to use the phone flashlight to see the menu. Even the waitress had to use the pay terminal to see the bill amount.
Service is attentive. Waitress keeps walking around & a close watch on the table.
Overall, a very disappointing experience.
This was a real disappointment. We were part of a group of 20, two tables of ten. The menu was pre-arranged by the host, & the price was pre-set at $100 p.p. + tax & service, plus drinks. Of course the service was 18%, which was fine. & when we got there we were told we could each pay our own way.
The biggest disappointment was the small portions of food for the price. It's meant to be a sharing menu concept. But the portions just didn't satisfy. For instance, for the main course, we were given one small plate of carrots & one small plate of frites for 4 people. I regret not taking photos because the portions were laughable. Only when I questioned did they bring out more! This was consistent for all 4 courses. It was as is the kitchen had miscalculated how many dishes to send out.
The service started out well, attentive. But as soon as the first course came out, we felt rushed. One server who was bringing out the food was calling out the names of the dishes so quickly that we couldn't understand them. We felt rushed to finish our dishes, as they were clearing even before some were empty! Once, out of principle, I told the waiter to leave the dish with the two asparagus pieces.
But when dessert should have been served, we waited 40 minutes!
The food was good, & nicely presented, though the beef dish had more fat & grizzle than it should have for this type of establishment.
All in all, a very big & expensive disappointment.
Another exceptional dinner @ Jellyfish Crudo & Charbon thanks to Camille & her team.
Outstanding, very creative, scrumptious, diverse menu. We enjoyed the oysters, tuna crudo, sea bream sashimi & a shrimp dish with strawberries (best cold shrimp dish we've ever had). Avocado carpaccio & a Duck coopa that were both mouthwatering!!! Filet mignon, New York Cut, perfectly prepared with French fries……delectable! Every dish was truly exceptional, a work of art. As exquisite visually as each was delectable!
Service is always amazing, this time was no exception, IMPECCABLE. Camille & her team were outstanding. Very kind, Courteous, Knowledgeable, never intrusive, very attentive. Perfectly timed courses presented by Lee (& others) all with wonderful descriptions of each dish. Distinctive bar menu & a flair for creating special cocktails! Stunning, trendy establishment, very comfortable seating, lovely ambient music, excellent location in Old Montreal.
Thank you Jellyfish, for another unforgettable evening!
Valet parking available or several parking lots close by. Enjoy a lovely walk around Old MONTREAL after dinner! Don't forget to ask them how they came up with the wonderful name for their restaurant!
A very special dinner!
Cheers!
We came as a group for a bachelor party & we had an amazing time. The restaurant has a stunning elegance to it. The food is delicious & offers a wide selection. The staff exude a level of professionalism that is both warm & attentive. If you're looking for a nice restaurant that will cater to your needs & you're in the Old Port, this is the place to go!
As soon as I arrived, I had a strong feeling that I would receive excellent service. I was captivated by the high ceilings & lovely decor. The staff was attentive, consistently clearing away finished plates & keeping our table tidy. The food was superb. The tuna crudo had a delightful crunch & the perfect amount of acidity. At first, I found the fried octopus to be a bit bland, but once I tried it with the sauces, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors. The hanger steak was really well-marinated. The meal finished on a high note with an amazing olive cake . I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciated the quality of the service. Great staff!
We had a wonderful experience! Booked a table for date night, & was given the loveliest spot next to the window. The server was very attentive & welcoming. Food was served on the table in a very exquisite manner, with explanation of every dish. My husband & I loved everything here. 10/10
Jellyfish delivers more than just a meal-it offers an experience. From the moment you step in, the atmosphere sets the stage for an exceptional evening, with attentive service that elevates the night even further. The bartender, in particular, stood out, crafting custom cocktails that showcased both creativity & expertise.
Opting for an off-menu set course, we were treated to the best the kitchen had to offer. Each dish was a masterful blend of influences, seamlessly transitioning from Asian to Italian flavors while maintaining a sense of cohesion. Every bite was packed with depth & balance, making it nearly impossible to find fault with any part of the meal.
The undeniable star of the night? The oxtail pasta with bone marrow-a rich, indulgent dish that is nothing short of a must-try. If there's one thing you order at Jellyfish, make it this.
Overall a great place, good & attentive service. The Pani Puri lacks of taste & I would considerate this appetizer as pricy for the portion. The rest was good.
Really great place. The food waa excellent. Highly recommend the tuna crudo & veal short ribs...french fries are great. Very friendly & attentive service. Great location in old Montreal. Looking forward to go back & try some other dishes.
I had a wonderful dining experience at Jellyfish last night! Our waitress was exceptional-she really paid attention to our needs. When my husband requested a nut-free meal, she made sure to order my dish without pistachios before it was cooked, ensuring everything was safe for me. Her thoughtful service truly made our evening special. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food & attentive staff! Unfortunately I don't know her name .
Dinner number five in old Montreal. Two of the last 4 were terrible. We had a great dinner here. Many dishes are advertised as Asian inspired but the influence varies from dish to dish. The fried sea bream was very good. Fried brussel sprouts were good though not the best I've ever had. Burrata was fine. Staff were attentive & friendly. Loud music indoors.
Beautiful & stylish restaurant, a great spot for a date night or time with friends & family. The service was friendly & attentive & the food was phenomenal. Our starters, the oysters & tuna crudo were delicious & fresh. For our mains, the veal short ribs were tender & juicy, the Asian inspired sauce was also very good. & the Milanese-style bone-in veal chop was crispy & a large portion. The s'more for dessert was also excellent (not your typical s'more). Overall, we very much enjoyed our meal at Jellyfish during our visit to Montreal.
Exceptional food, impeccable service, a thoughtfully curated menu, & an extensive wine list. Each dish was a delight, beautifully presented & bursting with flavor, while the staff's attentiveness & expertise enhanced our evening.
Had an excellent time at the restaurant over the F1 weekend. The service was attentive & friendly, the food was fantastic & atmosphere was perfect. We were a group of 40+ for a corporate event & the attention to each member of the party by the staff was spot on!
I had a wonderful time at jellyfish restaurant. The restaurant has a very unique design, with colorful lights & decorations that create a cozy & romantic atmosphere. It's a perfect place for a special occasion. I tried the New York cut steak, & it was cooked to perfection. The meat was tender & juicy, & the sauce was rich & flavorful. The service was on point, & the staff was attentive & courteous. They made sure we had everything we needed, & they even brought us a complimentary dessert. The price was reasonable for the quality & quantity of food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a special night out. Jellyfish restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Montreal.
