Restaurant Le Club chasse et pêche est le restaurant qui s'est installé depuis le début de l'année 2005 dans les lieux de l'ancien Fadeau, une institution caverneuse du Vieux-Montréal, pres du marché Bonsecours et de la place Jacques-Cartier.
Le Club Chasse et Pêche ressort comme une expérience culinaire d'exception, avec des plats impeccablement présentés et des saveurs riches et équilibrées qui impressionnent les convives et témoignent d'une grande attention aux détails. Le service est salué pour son professionnalisme et sa disponibilité, avec des conseils avisés sur les plats et les accords de vins, même si certains avis évoquent une lenteur occasionnelle lors des heures d'affluence et une certaine variabilité selon les soirées. I've been to Montreal many times & have tried many fine dining restaurants, but this is truly one of the best I've experienced so far.
The food was exceptional - beautifully presented, perfectly balanced, & full of flavor. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted.
Damien, Helen & their team was amazing! The service was just as impressive. The staff was attentive, professional, & genuinely welcoming, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.
Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Montreal. I will definitely be coming back!
Very welcoming atmosphere, the service is top notch (very personable) & the prices were great considering what we ordered. Love the place & the people. We had the swordfish & Cod & the food was second to none
Définitivement un de mes restaurants préférés. La seul problème c'est qu'il est trop loin de chez moi. 🥲 Nous avons toujours un excellent service & la nourriture est exceptionnelle.
The restaurant itself is nice.
But surprisingly food & service were not that good considering the price.
Entree salmon was surprisingly so fishy, I didn't expect the unpleasant smell of dish in such a fancy restaurant. Furthermore, quantity was insanely small.
& most of all, quality of service was not matched.
Surprisingly the waiter was not trained well & I almost bumped more than 4times with waiters during the dinner.
Even tho it was busy hour, It's never happened before in other restaurants. Or if it happened usually they aware, but they didn't seem even aware this.
The space between tables was so narrow & waiter doesn't seem care to bump customers' chairs during serving.
Serving speed was extremely slow.
We were waiting almost 20mins between meals.
I'd recommend go other restaurants with this price
Environment is great, food is amazing, & service is outstanding! I had the best oysters in my life, the catch is so good, & the dessert is fantastic. The beef & Linguine are only fine, but no surprises. Overall I will rate it 4.8.
My partner & I absolutely loved our visit! From start to finish, every dish blew us away. The oysters three-ways were fun & delicious, the scallops were perfectly cooked & the braised piglet risotto was just as impressive. The duck was a huge portion & also perfectly cooked. All the flavours were so well balanced & rich without being overwhelming. The hojicha dessert was one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Service was excellent as well. Highly recommend this restaurant & can't wait to come back!

I have been coming to this restaurant for more than 10 years & the quality of the food & service is always at the highest level. Oysters are to die for. Please order the shaved ice/thyme & the baked one. Appetizer are all wonderful but piglet risotto & octopus are perfect. Halibut always great & beef is always cooked to perfection served with perfect vegetable combination. Let them help you with wine choices. The wine list is incredible & wine by the glass are superb.
Please do not skip on dessert. They are the most sophisticated flavor with incredible presentation . Overall cuisine at the highest level. You will be so happy after you leave.

Tried to get a reservation for weeks & could not get in. Our last night in town we ended up walking up to the door & knocking & the staff was SO accommodating. We were immediately sat in a beautiful little table & treated to one if the best dinners of iur lives. The oysters were perfect & the oyster-sorbet was unexpected but surprisingly delicious. The poached fish was perfectly cooked, but the star of the show was the A5 waygu- so good! Don't forget to order dessert!!!
