Went for a four-year anniversary & was not disappointed! Our server Jacob was wonderful, very kind & pointed out all of the gluten free items on the menu for my partner. We had a wonderful time, & on a Monday night it was lively but not crowded. Highly recommend the Buruzu roll!

Great service & ambiance. The sushis are amazing & I especially loved their desserts(mochi & the beignets). The waitress recommended the okinashi drink & It was very good. I highly recommend this place.
I like this izakaya very much. The ingredients are very fresh & prepared with care. I especially recommend the tataki maguro, which has a rich texture & unique taste. The sashimi & sushi rolls are also very good. The waiter was very busy during the weekend dinner, but this did not affect the high quality of service. The food portions were not very generous, & we had to order a second round. Overall, it is a 5-star experience.
Les meilleurs sushi mangé depuis très longtemps. Frais & délicieux. Service excellent. Très bruyant toutefois, mais normal pour un samedi soir. Beau décor chaleureux. Recommendé à 100%!
Phenomenal food & overall experience! Abs recommend the Rainbow sushi & TATAKI MAGURO (tuna + jalapeno). Mocktails were superb! Top spot for sure. Service was great, accommodating & fast!

I had the pleasure of dining at Kyo Bar Japonais last night, & I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm & inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic evening. The decor was sleek & modern, with a beautiful bar area where we enjoyed watching the skilled chefs prepare our meals. The service was top-notch, with friendly & attentive staff who were happy to answer all our questions about the menu & make recommendations. & speaking of the menu, the selection of sushi & Japanese dishes was impressive, with something for every taste & preference. What really impressed us, however, was the quality & presentation of the dishes. Each plate was carefully crafted to be both visually appealing & delicious, with garnishes & sauces added with flair. It's clear that the chefs at Kyo Bar Japonais are passionate about their craft & take pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen. Overall, I would highly recommend Kyo Bar Japonais to anyone looking for an exceptional sushi experience. The combination of great food, excellent service, & stylish atmosphere makes it a must-visit destination for foodies & sushi lovers alike. Excellent restaurant! Didn't have a reservation, but was seated immediately (18:30, mid-October). Staff were very friendly, & explained menu & suggested correctly how much food was the right amount. I had three plates, as suggested, for just me (solo traveller) & that was just right. Chicken Karage was lovely, vegetable roll was great & the snake roll (tuna) was delicious. Good range of cocktails, & nice sake on offer. Would definitely recommend.
This was an absolute fine dining experience which was a must. It's located at a great spot pretty close to the basilica & core area. Me & my friend ordered the yakitori, beef sushi & curry katsu which were all delicious & fresh. 100% recommend this to anyone wanting some good Japanese food in Montreal.

We visited Montreal & went here for lunch. We ordered karage bento, & beef bento. It was amazing! The service was really good as well! I highly recommend this Japanese restaurant if you visit Montreal.
I want to say thank you guys for an amazing expierence. The food was amazing & the professionalism of the person who greeted me at the door & the young lady behind the bar was top notch. I highly recommend this resturant to everyone. I'm not easily impressed but I must admit i was blown away. To the manager that was there that night 8/31, I found the bottle of Japanese whiskey that you guys introduced me too. Thanks again & see you soon.
