Such a cute ambiance, the blue fin tuna tataki & the fish in the rainbow roll were super fresh! This place is worth a try & I'd highly recommend a reservation if you go on a busy night

Second time coming, & I highly recommend this spot! Amazing for both an hang out & date night.
Our order for two people came to $150 because we ordered a bottle of wine with dinner, but it was worth the money.
Jacob was an amazing sever who made our experience even more memorable :)

The ambiance is just as amazing, with a modern yet cozy vibe that makes dining here a real experience. Perfect spot for both sushi lovers & anyone looking to enjoy a great night out. This is definitly my favorite sushi restaurant in the old port ! Always fresh & tasty, the staff is very helpful & nice ! We asked for special desserts for a special occasion, & everything was done perfectly. We also had some complicated dietary restrictions, & it was very well handled. If you don't know what to order, simply order the chef's special, you won't be disappointed! I highly recommend trying this amazing restaurant !

We went to Kyo Sushi for a bachelorette dinner & had an amazing experience. The sushi was fresh, beautifully plated, & absolutely delicious. The staff took great care of us & made sure everything felt special. Great ambiance, great food-highly recommend for a night out or celebration!

Amazing place. My daughter has to be GF & they were very accommodating. Enter side of the menu could all be made GF.
A bit loud inside but, that was because it was packed.
Service was amazing & all of the food was delicious. Had one of the sushi specials & the tuna spring roll. Completely full after & flavors were spot on.

The food here is exceptional, & the ambiance sets the perfect mood for either a date night or a fun girls' night out. The space is intimate with dim lighting, giving it a moody, inviting vibe.
We kicked things off with the Wagyu gyoza, which was absolutely delicious, followed by the perfectly seasoned takoyaki, each bite filled with a generous chunk of octopus. The fried calamari, paired with a side of spicy mayo, was crispy & flavorful. The bluefin tuna tataki, served with ponzu & jalapeno, was a standout--bursting with umami flavor.
We also tried the chef's choice of 7 nigiri rolls, & each piece was an absolute delight. To wrap up the evening, you must order the yuzu donuts, which come with a sesame condensed milk dip. The combination was mind-blowing--an unforgettable way to end the night. Highly recommend this place!

Absolutely incredible dining experience! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor & expertly prepared. The karaage was a standout - perfectly crispy on the outside, tender & juicy inside, & full of rich, savory flavor.
The rainbow rolls were far from your average sushi rolls. These were exceptionally fresh & artfully crafted - a clear step above what you'd find in grocery stores or even many other Japanese restaurants.
I was especially surprised by the seaweed rolls with egg. At first glance, they might not be the most photogenic dish, but wow - they were unbelievably delicious. A perfect example of'don't judge a book by its cover.'
We ended the meal with mochi for dessert, which had the perfect balance of chewiness & sweetness - a light & satisfying finish.
Despite the place being crowded & busy, the servers were fairly attentive. They kindly opened our bottle of wine & offered a taste before pouring, which was a nice touch & showed great hospitality.
The atmosphere was lively & had a good vibe overall, though it did get quite loud due to the number of people - something to keep in mind if you're looking for a quiet dinner.
Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for creative, high-quality Japanese cuisine.
Reservation is a must.

Had an amazing dinner here for a bachelorette event! The ambiance was super lively. Our waitress, Elizabeth, was so funny, kind, & went above & beyond to make sure we had a great evening. The food was delicious; we really enjoyed the variety & creativity of the menu (especially the mocktails). Highly recommend for a great dinner with friends or for a nice date! :)

Went for a four-year anniversary & was not disappointed! Our server Jacob was wonderful, very kind & pointed out all of the gluten free items on the menu for my partner. We had a wonderful time, & on a Monday night it was lively but not crowded. Highly recommend the Buruzu roll!

From the moment we walked in, the warm & inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic evening. The decor was sleek & modern, with a beautiful bar area where we enjoyed watching the skilled chefs prepare our meals. The service was top-notch, with friendly & attentive staff who were happy to answer all our questions about the menu & make recommendations. & speaking of the menu, the selection of sushi & Japanese dishes was impressive, with something for every taste & preference. What really impressed us, however, was the quality & presentation of the dishes. Each plate was carefully crafted to be both visually appealing & delicious, with garnishes & sauces added with flair. It's clear that the chefs at Kyo Bar Japonais are passionate about their craft & take pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen. Overall, I would highly recommend Kyo Bar Japonais to anyone looking for an exceptional sushi experience.
