The smoked meat sandwich on rye bread was heavenly. It was served with coleslaw which balances the fat of the sandwich. It was the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. But I guess fries are not their forte? They were soggy, oily & takes away the joy one feels while devouring the sandwich. They should gather together & reinvent the way they do the fries.
This was me & my friends' first stop for our Montreal trip. Our hotel wasn't ready so we left the bags & explored for a bit. My friend said he knew exactly what we were going to do & looked up a place to get poutine. We both shared the montreal smoked meat poutine. Delicious! The gravy was light & the smoked meat added the salt. Definitely a place worth stopping

Oh my gosh, what a funky place & AMAZING smoked meat. The cole slaw is very unique yet delicious. The onion soup was filled with onions! Loved that. Even the French fries were great. Service was great.
I ordered a smoked meat bagel & my friends got the smoked meat poutine, hot chicken sandwich & smoked meat sandwich. It was very good & large portions. Good value
We ate here twice during our trip to Montreal in April 2024 & Dunn's is consistently fantastic. REAL French fries & piled high Montreal smoked meat with mouthwatering side of fresh Cole slaw & a giant juicy pickle. Holy moly! What a delight! Our servers were excellent during both visits.

A visit to Montreal isn't complete without eating at a smoked meat restaurant. Dunn's is one of the originals, dating back to 1927. Their slow-cooked brisket is delicious: well-flavoured with an almost crumbly texture. Perfect. We had their smaller option, as this was lunch. Perfect size & perfectly delicious. We are moving on from Montreal tomorrow, so a visit to Dunn's was the ideal lunch to finish our visit here. I chose: - Le Petit Combo: our small sandwich served on rye bread with homemade fries, coleslaw & dill
We tried Dunn's for the first time & the service was impeccably fast. The host was patient with us as well. Although we ordered take-out, the place had a nice ambiance with lots of seating. We got poutine as well as the smoked meat sandwich. We also ordered the Dunn's famous smoked meat poutine & the smoked meat burger. The smoked meat poutine was covered in smoked meat & packed with flavour. There was a perfect ratio of cheese curds to gravy to fries as well. The smoked meat burger did not quite live up to our expectations. The burger patty itself was dry & there was only a few slices of smoked meat. On the other hand, the smoked meat sandwich was great! Highly recommend. If you're ever in Montreal, definitely hit up this spot.

I had spaghetti with smoked meat red sauce. It was okay, but was very under seasoned. The server was very friendly, & the atmosphere was nice. I would visit again for a relaxing brunch.
Got smoked meat platter & swapped out fries with smoked meat poutine. Great late night dinner after a long day of travel. Smoked meat was great & staff was friendly.
We discovered this wonderful place while wandering around in the sleet & rain on our second night visiting Montreal. & we are so happy we did. From the enormous --- & I do mean enormous --- smoked meat sandwiches & mile-high fries, to the better-than-my-own cheesecake & bottomless cup of fresh-brewed coffee, the only thing that made it even better was the unbelievably friendly & efficient service by our charming server, Priscilla. We look forward to returning here every time we make the 480-mile trek from Philadelphia. We've found our "go-to" spot in Montreal.
Ordered the Rueben & upgraded the fries to poutine. The corned beef was so delicious. Poutine was also good. The coleslaw was very tasty & loved that it didn't have mayo in it.
The real deal. A fantastic Deli, a smoked meat sandwich that satifies, friendly service, old-timey atmosphere. Don't let the 2023 construction mess outside deter you.
We were looking for the Montreal smoked meat experience while downtown & we found Dunn’s. Saturday evening & the place was hopping. We were a group of four but the wait was no more than 10 minutes.
Had to try the Dunn’s Famous poutine & added sautéed mushrooms & onions. Did not disappoint, the meal was excellent & our server was super friendly!
