Pendant longtemps, j'ai considéré ce restaurant comme l'un de mes endroits préférés & je le recommandais constamment à ma famille & à mes amis de passage. C'est justement pour cette raison qu'il est encore plus décevant d'écrire cet avis aujourd'hui.
L'expérience de cet après-midi (16:30) a complètement été gâchée par l'attitude du personnel au moment du paiement. Après avoir laissé un pourboire, j'ai subi une pression insistante pour donner davantage d'argent. Les employés ont même regardé les billets que j'avais en main & m'ont indiqué lequel je devais donner. Le plus inconfortable a été qu'un employé a pris de la monnaie dans son propre portefeuille afin de compléter & garder le pourboire lui-même.
Un pourboire doit être un geste volontaire basé sur le service reçu, & non quelque chose imposé par la pression ou l'inconfort envers le client. La situation était extrêmement inappropriée & peu professionnelle.
C'est vraiment dommage qu'un endroit que je recommandais avec autant de confiance me laisse finalement une telle impression. Après cette expérience, je n'y retournerai plus & je ne le recommanderai plus non plus.
Ordered the smoked meat poutine & it was so good! The gravy was super tasty & they piled a ton of smoked meat on top. It's the perfect classic Montreal comfort food. The place had a cool vibe & the staff was really friendly too. Definitely hitting this spot up again!
Tasty smoked meat! The smoked meat sandwiches are HUGE. Perfect for sharing. Stacked with meat & Swiss & sauerkraut. Very yummy! The poutine was very good. I added smoked meat & wish I had gone with the original. Gravy has good flavor. Cheese curds were good.
Interior has a dinner/bar vibe. Red vinyl seats, checker pattern. Service was excellent & friendly. Local beers on the menu. Central location.
The homemade cheesecake was tasty & also great for sharing.
Loved the pickle plate. Nice cut to richness of everything else.
What a treat! Stumbled in feeling a little lost & dishevelled after an early train journey to find ourselves among friendly faces & the most succulent smoked meat. Wife had a salad which she loved & the playlist was all hits. Travel fatigue cured. Thanks

Absolutely amazing experience. The smoked meat was incredibly flavorful, tender, & perfectly seasoned, definitely one of the best I've had. The potato skins were crispy, loaded, & so satisfying, & the egg rolls were fresh, crunchy, & packed with flavor. Everything came out hot & delicious. Great food, generous portions, & a place I would happily come back to again. Highly recommend!
We've been hopping around looking for the best smoked meat in Montreal & this place takes the cake. It's better than Reuben's. We also had incredible service tonight from Steven. Friendly, funny, & genuinely made the experience even better. Thank you, Steven!

This restaurant was recommended by our hop on hop off bus tour guide so we were a little weary that it was a touristy place. We were so wrong. It was so good! The service was so fast, very friendly & the ambiance gives Cheers vibes. Everyone was happy with their food: kids chicken tenders, kids pizza, poutine, french onion soup, kids spaghetti, Thai chicken salad & the Dunn's black cherry soda. Hearty portions too. Highly recommend for a nice variety of food options & some delicious Montreal specialties!
Food was kind of trash & we experience micro aggression while waiting for our take out order. Would definitely warn anyone of color to stay far away from this establishment though I don't think they get many patrons of color anyway. While waiting for our to go order we were approached by a portly man who said he needed our chairs & told us to get up. As the only 2 black people in the establishment at the time, me & my mother were clearly targeted & it gave MAGA vibes. Hostess was nice to us but that's about all I can say good about this place.
