4 stars for the service & atmosphere & overall over the years I have always felt that way it's never changed. The main aspect & most importantly the SMOKED MEAT has never changed (ONLY METCALF LOCATION ORIGINAL). Other locations are not quite as good as Metcalf is.There review here only 4.3% could be for service reasons as I have slightly noticed over the years but on the other hand they receive a lot more customers then Smoke meat Pete or Lesters & Schwartz they are full of crap with 4.4 which finally went down 0.1 recently. I can promise Dunn's Metcalf is still currently the very best as. Far as the smoke meat goes absolutely 100%. They were. Always #2 overall since 1927 only Swhartz beat. Them out until 1997 when Swhartz family sold & with 47 owners in the past 30 years they are. Horrible I would go to Swhartz if you paid. Now

Great experience. We came to Montréal for the day from Toronto. I looked forward to coming to Dunns. Had the beefsteak & a sundae. Steve was fantastic. A beautiful time by my wife & I. We will be back when we return to Montréal. Thank you.

Why wait on a long line when you can just go to Dunn's for great smoked meat sandwiches & creations (smoked meat egg roll, poutine, fried rice, etc.)? Plenty of other goodies such as bagel & lox, matzo ball soup, wings, burgers, salads. Full bar & lots of seating, helpful service.

Our experience at Dunn's was God awful. The food: cold & limp, the drinks were vile & the service was pitiful. We went in on Monday at around 6:30pm & our waiter, who was bald & tall, spent more time arguing with the other waiters & front of house workers than giving us half decent service. We attempted to order cocktails & he put zero effort into those as well, my negroni was sickly sweet. The waiter was so absent that we had to flag down the bus boy to ask him to remake this undrinkable beverage. The waiter tried to resolve the issue but we did not want to wait any longer after waiting such a unreasonable amount of time for it but he insisted. The second drink was even more putrid than the first. At this point, we gave up & just wanted to leave as soon as we could. Maybe if the waiter spent the same amount of time serving clients as he did bickering with his coworker buddies, we would have had okay service. We will NOT be returning.

We had an awesome time at Dunn's!! 10/10 food. We've long anticipated eating a Reuben from montreal & it was incredible! Anthony was also a great server. He expertly handled the rush from the concert we came from. He also recommended we get a jar of pickles instead of 2 for $1.50! A massive 2 litre jar costed $9.95 & will definitely last us until our next trip. We will for sure come back to Dunn's for all our Reuben & pickle needs.

Wow!! Enough to feed a family of 4. Portions are huge! Everything came out hot. Especially the french onion soup. It was NUCLEAR!! it was still piping hot. Ton of melted cheese. Had the smoked meat fried rice. That huge bowl could feed a family of 4 with leftovers! Wings were good. Quebec poutine was also huge! Our waiter Asam was fantastic & attentive. Well done Dunn's!!

Je n'ai pas eu la cerise sur mon Sundae! Ce n'est pas grave il était simple & bon, le ratio crème glacée & sirop de chocolat était parfait. Steve avait une énergie incroyable. Ma copine a trouvé le Cheesecake un peu trop sucré, mais le malheur des uns fait le bonheur des autres, moi qui aime généralement pas les gâteaux aux fromage, celui du Dunn's me donne envie de laisser une deuxième chance à la pâtisserie au fromage.

Visited Dunns on Sunday evening after the F1 race, food was incredible!
Ruben smoke meat sandwich & smoked Eggrolls.
Steve our Server was quite the character!
