steak(8) gem(6) bistro(6) recommend(5) flavour(5) tartare(5) oyster(5) cozy(4) fries(4) hidden(3) cheese(3) wine(3)We were not expecting what we got which was impeccably prepared food & the best run kitchen to dining service I have seen. The menu has standard fare for the less adventurous, but the seasonal menu keeps this resto current & appealing for different palates & preferences...no we did not get the mac n cheese, but I'm sure it was great. Looks like chef Paolo runs a tight ship & his clean cooking & plating style are top notch in the west island. We had such a great time that we drank far too much & we left the car & took a cab home. Perhaps we should have left a note on the dash bc we got a $80 ticket. I guess the local police prefer us to take risks.. totally not the restos fault, but hope this makes them aware. Cars parked overnight may not be loitering. We may just be trying to do the right thing.
The owner / chef has an attitude problem. not a family friendly place.
Second time I've been to this restaurant. First time the experience was nice however the second time not so much. Went with a friend who had suggested the restaurant. Explained to the server that I could not eat the salad offered with the meal. The server went to verify if I could get another salad. The agreement was that I would give my friend the salad & I would purchase another salad (which I paid 10$ extra for a small portion of lettuce). My meal came to me with the salad that I had asked not to be served on my plate. The salad was scraped off my plate- my plate was returned to me with the remnants of the salad- not a clean plate. As I was eating my meal I found a hair. I once again returned my meal & was given a new plate. I called the owner a few days later as I continued to be bothered by my experience. When I spoke to the owner his tone was confrontational & aggressive. My friend & I spent a great deal of money for this meal & I have to say it didn't seem to bother the owner one bit that my experience was disappointing. I'm not writing this review because of a salad mix up; I can let that go- the hair in my meal, not so much - the owner's attitude when I called was what really got to me. I wonder how the owner, who is also the restaurant's chef, would grade the restaurant if he experienced what I did. j
The food here just gets better everytime I go. The freshest most delicious fine cuisine. Friendly & knowledgeable wait staff that are very accommodating. It's not just a restaurant, it's a delightful & well planned experience. Make a reservation, before you go. Gems like this place fill up fast, or try your luck.
They could have offer you piece of bread while waiting for stake . & no wonder stake was expensive. I find this place is over all great except for some missing elements.
Five stars all the way through! I would give ten if I could. The atmosphere feels like you're downtown, without having to worry about construction & parking. The food is simply fantastic. We had the sea bass & the burger & both were super tasty & cooked to perfection. & the service was even better! We had Sara as our server & she was super sweet, very efficient & knows her menu well. I came with my daughter & even though this is not really a kids place, she made her feel like a little princess. All mama's reading this can appreciate that ;)
We had great service. The waitresses were attentive & sweet. For food, we started with the crab cakes on apple slaw & they were very delicious! The 10oz sirloin steak was just ok but it had a nice sear though. For dessert, the key lime tart had a soft mushy crust. I would have preferred a crunchy crust, but the filling was nice. It was not too tangy nor too sweet. We also ordered the dark chocolate pot de crème which was amazing.
Excellent selection of dishes. The ones we chose were first rate. We will certainly return in future.
nice place. good quality food. Friendly staff. A little on the expensive side, but worth a visit.
Great little bistro on the West Island. Odd location off St Charles in a lot with a gas station but very nice employees & excellent food.
Grace restaurant is a real gem.
A real blessing to have such world class food in the West-Island.
The chef is absolutely top notch.
The service is super friendly & truly cares about your dining experience.
The atmosphere is cozy & comfortable.
If I could rate it 10 stars I would!!!
Bon Appetit!!!
Excellente cuisine maison & non réchauffée... un peu t'attende mais ça vaut le détour ! Service agréable, & soigné !
Some highs & lows. The hostess/bartender was rude, not friendly at all, she could certainly ruin the experience for people.
Now for the food, the mushroom goat cheese app was amazing, total crave worthy. I ordered the chicken as my main, terrible, it was swimming in a brown gravy maybe 3-4 ounces of chicken, I should’ve ordered something else. Had the cherry pie for dessert, was simple but very good!
Restaurant could use some additional decor, you feel like you’re in a store front also the noise level gets awkward.
Excellent food & service!!!
Very satisfied & have strongly suggested to family & friends.
We'll definitely go back again very soon as hubby & I loved it?
