We had a small inconvenience with the service (they forgot one of our friends & food arrived late) however they fixed the situation promptly! It's always a pleasure to eat here.
Delicious gluten-free arepas! The flavors & textures are spot on. My favorite is the black bean, plantain, & avocado; teenager likes all the chicken ones. The green sauce is so good & the red one adds a nice fiery kick. Be sure to try the coconut flan!
Thankful to find a place that offers both gluten free & dairy free options, & that is delicious!
I had such a great evening at Arepera! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We shared the plantains with feta as a starter, & I had an arepa (queso aguacate) for my meal - it was amazing. The flavors were incredible & everything tasted very fresh.
A huge bonus: the entire menu is gluten-free, which makes the experience so enjoyable when you have to eat gluten-free. Being able to order anything on the menu without worrying is really appreciated.
Warm atmosphere & very friendly service. A wonderful discovery in Montreal - I'll definitely be back!
The best lunch we've had on the entire trip to Montreal. The chicharron arepa is the apex of pork sandwiches. We had a gluten sensitive diner, & she had no issues at all. There were also some great drink options (including gluten free beer too). Wait staff were wonderful. Highly recommend.
Best arepa in the world!!!!!!!!!!!! love it - put the green sauce on everything yum!
Food is awesome, service is fast, & prices are amazing. I always get an arepa when I come. I love that everything is gluten-free (as a gluten intolerant person) & that theyvhave options for omnivores, veggies & vegans. Therevare 4 vegan arepas. The plantains & yuka fries are also vegan. They have 1 vegan empenada & 1 vegan dessert (flan). Everything tastes good. It's not high end refined food, it's street food done right. Super filling & good value.
They have a kid's menu...yay! My daughter (3 yo) ate the whole lot, she loved it.
Atmosphere is alright, place is big & can accommodate many groups.
Staff is friendly, but to the point.
I would 100% recommend!
The arepas' taste & presentation were ok, however the chocolate cake was a disappointment & killed the experience.
I can't wait to go back! Great service & incredible food. The chicken empanadas & the chocolate cake were amazing! Highly recommend 😊
Friday night & we hit it right. There was just a short waits for a table. Our server was handling 9-10 tables but we never felt like we had to wait. He was impressive keeping everyone served & water bottles replaced.
Any place that is 100% gluten free is always a plus in our book. It is nice to order & know there are no cross contamination issues. For my daughter, she enjoyed sampling our food.
The food was wonderful. It was flavorful. Fillings in sandwiches were a lot. The platter was full. The variety was incredible. There was beef, pork, chicken, seafood. There were different cheeses & accent fillings.
The atmosphere is eclectic. Some of the booths were old church pews. Chairs varied a bit. You could see into kitchen so they know they are clean & safe.,
If you like beer, it is all gluten free.
A good find for us!
The food was tasty, no complaints, but the service was rude. If you want a successful business you have to train the staff how to interact with people, not to be pretentious & expect tips for just being there.
Love coming back to this place. Their arepas are de-li-ciO-sas. The juices are fresh. Their arepas & empanada options are varied, they easily accomodate personal preferences. Staff is attentive.
The perfect place to share a super lunch with our dear staff from Cantine Panella 🧡 ! We have celiacs in our group so was perfect! Thank you 😊
Best arepas ever. Finding this gluten free place during our stay in Montreal was amazing. We went 3 times in one week.
Simple homie food from amazing people. Affordable prices, quick service.
Hipster latino food featuring mainly arepa sandwiches. Bigger, & definitely more trendy that I expected with their awesome artsy portrait paintings.
My rating is very likely due to my mistake of ordering a black bean soup (filling me up with bloated heaviness, wasn't anything special) before my main meal could be enjoyed. I managed to consume of the argula salad (bitter) & maybe 2 bites of my arepa before calling it quits.
My other friends had a much better experience... ordering a variety from fancy cheeses to pulled pork to chicken, everyone loved their selections.
Also staff was very cool about doing separate checks to make it easier for us.
Anyways moral of story is don't eat a giant can of black beans before your entree if you want to have a good time.
