C'est une plus une cantine qu'un restaurant. Ce n'est pas un endroit romantique ou chaleureux. En fait, il y faisait même assez froid.
Certain serveurs ne parlent pas bien français, donc difficile d'avoir leurs avis sur le menu ou de se faire comprendre quand on commande.
Édit: j'ai été très gentille & compréhensive avec les jeunes serveurs. & justement, pour ne pas les embarrasser, j'ai pris n'importe quoi car j'étais mal renseignée.
La nourriture n'est pas goûteuse.
Leurs empanadas sont petites (contrairement aux empanadas argentines) & je n'ai aimé que celles au boeufs. Donc 1 seule empanada sur 3.
Les prix sur le menu publié sur Google, sont inférieurs aux vrais prix.
Sur place c'est approximativement 1.5$/2$ plus cher.
Donc, ça reste abordable mais pas très bon.
Le sandwich Arepa, j'ai trouvé ça fade, lourd & froid.
Dans le mien, ils ont mixé du poulet (bouilli je crois. En tout cas pas rôti, ni frit, ni assaisonné) avec des avocats très froids (?!!) sans plus. Il n y avait donc pas assez de produits frais ou goûteux, pour que ça soit délicieux. Ça n'avait aucun goûts. & c'était plutôt pâteux.
Bref, pas bon.
Le tout pour un 33$ - je n'ai commandé ni de dessert, ni de boisson.
Comment ils ont obtenu des notes aussi élevée ? Mystère.
Je n'y retournerai pas. & je ne le recommande pas.
Plantanos con queso were excellent. Great pairing of the salty cheese with the sweet plantains. The empanadas were also delicious. We chose the pork & it was very nicely flavored. The arepas were delicious, very good portion. Margaritas were also quite tasty. We would definitely visit again. So nice to have a totally gluten free restaurant.
Discovered this place recently & my whole family loves it!
The food is very good. Even my picky child found something she is always looking forward to, she always enjoys the pork & beef empanadas. My son loves the fish empanadas. I had a few different chicken sandwiches, & though they are all very good, the avocado chicken is my favourite.
Coconut flan is heavenly!
The atmosphere is great & the staff are very friendly.
I am a symptomatic celiac & haven't had any reaction. I even was brave this time & tried a gluten free beer, & again, no reaction.
My younger daughter has special needs, & though there is no accessible entrance, we come back anyway, because of how patient & friendly the staff members are, & how tasty the food is.
Absolutely delicious food! The trio of empanadas with cheese & chicken was my personal favourite perfectly crispy, flavorful, & paired with amazing sauces. The place also offers great vegetarian options, which is always a big plus. The staff is incredibly friendly & welcoming. Just thinking about this place again makes my mouth water, so delicious 🤤
We ordered the La Llanera de pollo & Pabellon de pollo sandwich & Pollo empanadas. The food was delicious. The service was really nice.

Our food came in hot & fast! Absolutely delicious empanadas. We loved the plated meals as well. We tried their passionfruit & mango drinks & desserts, particularly the plantain cheesecake.
Casual place for brunch. Our server was very friendly. Tried the mixed veggie empanadas as well as the chicken with avocado arepa. The arepa was very tasty & filling. Can with a small side salad. The empanada fillings were flavorful.
I left Venezuela 25 years ago,& any time I have a chance I try any venezuelan restaurant I come across,I live in Vancouver Island were its very hard to find any Venezeulan food except for 1 place that it's an hour away from me, I gt say your empanadas are the best I've had since I left Venezuela save a casa! The guasacaca its incredible! I las empanadas pure perfection ,crunchy delicious & great prices. Thank you for such & amazing experience!
I came to Montreal not knowing I would travel in time to my childhood in Venezuela. Empanadas are just perfect: thin & crunchy, flavourful, delicious stuffing, perfect size, best empanadas in Canada!! Also the guasacaca sauce, omg!!! Not only it is DELICIOUS but it reminded me of my home, my family, when we used to get together on weekends to make'parrilladas' (bbq)! Congratulations guys, you are doing great!!

What can I say, the place itself is beautiful with a large spacious area for seating, big windows with views to the street. The food is made in a timely manner & it tastes excellent, from the arepas to the empanadas y certainly is worth it.
This charming restaurant has been a Plateau mainstay since 2011, specializing in arepas, empanadas, & all things Venezuelan. 🇻🇪
The brunch is a delightful addition! The dishes were not only gluten-free but also bursting with authentic flavors.
We started with an order of empanadas; each one was perfectly crafted & filled with delicious ingredients, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite.
We followed that with the Plato Criollo, a giant plate of Perico eggs, fresh avocado, fried plantains, stewed beans, arepas, Andean cheese, & chicharrón (pork belly). All of this was not only delicious but extremely filling. We couldn't finish half of it 😅-the portion was very generous.
A big thank you to the team for their warm hospitality during brunch; it was evident that they take pride in their food & service. ☀?
My parent is from Venezuela & I was very pleased with the food here!! Would definitely return. Service is also very kind & accommodating. Atmosphere is comfortable & cozy. I'll be back for the empanadas!
