Good service, decent food. We had made reservations for 4 on Valentine's Day. 2 adults, 2 kids. When we got there, they looked up our reservations & said it was at the bar, which is 18+ so that wasn't going to work. Fortunately, it was early, & Esteban found us another table in the restaurant after a few minutes. Initially they were a bit dismissive that the reservations were done on open table, & not directly with the restaurant - but the restaurant web site uses open table, so that felt a bit dumb. The food was good, as expected. The blender was broken, apparently, so no smoothie for the kids, & an order for Pineapple juice turned into an orange juice - I guess the bartender was having a bad day. Server was very nice & prompt & attentive. We got comped a nice piece of cake for the daughter's birthday. Overall a good experience.
Amazing food! the steaks were cooked to perfection. Our waitress Sydney was amazing, really sweet & attentive to my boyfriend's nut allergy! Even the manager came out to assure us everything was going to be nut free, which is amazing service, we were very pleased! It was my boyfriend's birthday & they also gave us complementary cake at the end which was delicious!

This is an amazing steakhouse with a wonderful atmosphere & truly outstanding, service-oriented staff. Our server, Will, was incredibly friendly & attentive, & he made our wedding anniversary even more special! The filet mignon & mushroom risotto are a must.
We have gone to the Keg Old Port quite a few times, this time was not as good as previous visits.
While the atmosphere even on the bar side is great; & the service attentive & friendly, the food fell a little short this time.
The prime rib roast was a little too rare & the yorkshire pudding overcooked. (In all fairness, they took it off the bill, because it was obvious.)
The New York Peppersteak was delicious as always & cooked to perfection. Two thumbs up!
We picked a few seasonal drinks & the mulled wine was well spiced, but missing the tanginess of a cheap wine (I know, that's a strange complaint)& was not hot enough when served; & the new smokey old fashioned is just okay, & not what you would expect of an old fashioned what so ever.
Despite this it was a pleasant evening (because after all the drinks were what we chose & nobody's fault, that we didn't like them that much), & we will go back choosing our usual, which never disappoints.
We had a birthday celebration here & we had a lovely time. The staff was super nice & attentive. The location is great & the vibe is excellent as you are in the heart of Old Montreal. Everything that we ordered came out perfectly cooked & seasoned & the drinks were spot on even tho we ordered something that was not on the menu. Overall 10/10 would definitely go back!
Incredibly impressed with food & service. Was in town for Osheaga Music fest, had never heard of them; manager came out to confirm allergens, rib steak was cooked to perfection (blue rare). Was not expecting that level of attentiveness, they are now a baseline for dining I will compare others too. Splendid!

One of the best spots in Montreal, hands down. From the quality of food to the outstanding service, everything was on point. Shoutout to our waiter Charles for being incredibly patient, attentive, & kind. He even surprised us with dessert on the house. Rare to find service like this in MTL. Worth every penny, would go back a hundred times over.
The Keg in Old Montreal never disappoints! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm & attentive. The ambiance perfectly blends cozy & elegant, with beautiful stone walls & low lighting that make it feel extra special.
We ordered the filet mignon & rib steak ; both were cooked to perfection & full of flavor. The sides were just as impressive, especially the garlic mashed potatoes & seasonal vegetables. The cocktails were also excellent, & their wine selection paired beautifully with the meal.
What really stood out was the service , our server was friendly, knowledgeable, & timed everything perfectly. Whether you're celebrating something special or just enjoying a great night out, The Keg in Vieux Montréal is a top-notch choice. Highly recommend making a reservation!
We arrived late after having called to notify them about the traffic situation. The reception was very accommodating. Once we arrived, we were immediately seated.
Our waitress Samantha, was unbelievable. Genuinely friendly, kind, smiling from the first moment. She answered all our questions & made it seem that anything was possible. Food arrived on time, & the steak prepared exactly as per our order. She came back several times to be sure all was going well. We never felt rushed nor had any perception of overselling. Her attentiveness was a rare experience ( I have eaten all over the world, & this waitress was a rare diamond).
We had been told to try the Keg when in Canada so went to the outlet in Old Montreal close to our hotel.
Solid food without being spectacular. We both had steaks, mine with the famous double cooked potatoes, a side of the Caesar Brussel Sprouts, with a bottle of Malbec. Steaks were cooked well, generous portions all round (the potatoes were good!) & service was prompt & attentive.
There are probably better restaurants in Montreal but what the Keg does they do well & at a reasonable price point which probably explains why there are so many Keg restaurants in Canada.

Had an incredible dinner at The Keg in Old Montreal. The côte de boeuf was perfectly cooked-tender, juicy, full of flavor. Service was flawless: friendly, attentive but never pushy. The ambiance was cozy & upscale without being stiff. Great spot for a relaxed, high-quality night out. Will definitely be back!
I expect nothing less than a fabulous time when I'm at The Keg. & as usual. Flawless execution. Amazing, friendly service with the warm welcoming staff, attentive waiters, delicious food & all in all, an excellent restaurant that makes me proud to recommend to all newcomers to Canada 🇨🇦
On a cold winter evening, strolling through picturesque Old Montreal, my beloved & I decided to pop into The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Vieux Montreal at 25 Rue Saint-Paul E. The atmosphere of this place instantly enveloped us in warmth & coziness. Dimmed lights, stylish interior, the feeling of a true traditional bar - all of this created a unique ambiance.
We decided to warm up by ordering a couple of signature cocktails, & they were simply superb! But the real salvation from the winter chill was their signature soups. I enjoyed the rich & flavorful lobster bisque, while my companion preferred the classic French onion soup, which was also beyond praise.
At The Keg Steakhouse + Bar, you can not only enjoy excellent drinks but also sample dishes from their restaurant menu. This undoubtedly adds a special charm to the establishment. The service was top-notch; the waiter was attentive & friendly.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. If you're lucky, you'll have William at the bar. Super friendly, attentive & has the skills to make some incredible cocktails. Try the whiskey sour with the Rabbit hole whiskey.
The Keg was easily the best meal my group had on our weekend in Montreal. The four of us all got steaks & a couple cocktails. Between us we had a prime rib, a top sirloin, & 2 filet mignon. They were all top quality & well prepared. One of our group had a food allergy. The manager came to our table to assure us of the precautions the kitchen was taking to ensure the food was safe for her allergy. The service was great. Prompt, friendly, & attentive the entire time. The atmosphere in the lounge was relaxed but upscale. Overall wonderful experience!
Great food but most of all, Antoine, our waiter was amazing! Definitely made the experience of the keg old port a wonderful one. He is very attentive & has such a kind demeanour, always checking on us when he can.

This minor detail aside, the rest of the experience was quite enjoyable. Our server was attentive, quickly refilling our water glasses & offering helpful suggestions from the wine list, making us feel well-cared for throughout the meal. The restaurant has a charming ambiance, with exposed brick walls & dim lighting that creates a cozy & intimate setting in the heart of historic Old Montreal. Overall, The Keg delivers exactly what you'd expect - a satisfying & enjoyable meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Though a touch more creativity in plating would elevate the experience further, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others seeking a classic steakhouse dinner.
