The Keg Steakhouse + Bar a ouvert les portes de son premier restaurant à Vancouver en 1971. Ayant pris de l’expansion au Canada et aux États-Unis depuis ses débuts, il compte maintenant plus de 100 adresses. Bien que son nom et son décor aient changé au fil des décennies, l’expérience gastronomique est restée la même à ce jour. Been to many Kegs before but this one tops it! Usually you get a very corporate environment but the one in Montreal Vieux port had a very cozy feel to it & a different interior design. The staff was very friendly & welcoming & the food was excellent! I am not a steak guy but had to pull the trigger once i saw the'Chicago style' which basically add a mildly burnt crust with a perfectly cooked medium rare interior - it was the perfect Christmas dinner! Highly recommend this location 10/10

C'était bon, mais les portions étaient petites. Nous avions commandé un plateau de trois steaks « keg steak platter» avec des légumes ; la portion de légumes était minimale & la viande est arrivée froide. Le menu enfant, en revanche, était très bien.

This is an amazing steakhouse with a wonderful atmosphere & truly outstanding, service-oriented staff. Our server, Will, was incredibly friendly & attentive, & he made our wedding anniversary even more special! The filet mignon & mushroom risotto are a must.

Filet mignon was amazing for many years, BUT unfortunately my last 4 visit was a desaster, the meat was never cook the way I ask. Steak was return & come back worst. I didn't even eat it & left. This is how bad it was.
Not sure what changes, grill cook must have had a bad training.
Sadly I won't go back.

I'm a huge Keg fan- I've been to one in 4 different cities & always look forward
To it when visiting Canada. On my latest visit Nov 29 in Montreal however both our filets showed up.. room temperature at best. No steam, no warmth, luke warm mashed potatoes. Ournserver Sam also was late with a tea because he forgot & I had to ask twice for my wine. Really feels like our steaks sat around for 10 mins before being served because (potentially) our party of 2 just wasn't of high priority on a Saturday. Room temperature $70 filet mignon is disappointing. I'll come back again to other Kegs but they shouldn't allow this

Alex was our server & he was exceptional on describing dishes . My husband had the prime rib & I had the sirloin steak with the baked twice baked potato. My bloody ceaser was the best . Atmosphere , friendly , quiet , busy but still relaxing .

Our waiter William was very nice. My wife ordered the prime rib, my daughter ordered filet mignon, my son & i both ordered the Kansas strip steak. They were all delicious. We had sticky toffee pudding for dessert, it was amazing.

Usually good food good service but this time around raw bloody steak was served to two of us when ordered medium well.

We tried a few dishes & everything was amazing.
The New York Striploin was cooked perfectly - juicy, tender, & full of flavour.
The New York Peppercorn was also delicious, especially with the creamy peppercorn sauce. Definitely one of my favourites!
We had a bottle of La Petite Perrière Pinot Noir (2024) with our meal, & it paired beautifully with the steaks.
For dessert, we had the Billy Miner Pie, & it was the perfect finish - mocha ice cream, chocolate crust, fudge, caramel, & almonds. So good!
Overall, great food & great service. Highly recommend trying both New York steaks & ending with the Billy Miner Pie!

The quality of this KEG steakhouse food was perfect as expected. I ordered the lobster tail for the first time at KEG, at it was cooked nicely.

I had the best steak here! Came to Montreal for my birthday from Ontario & my birthday dinner was everything.
The service was amazing. Can't believe I don't recall our waiter's name. Whenever I visit MTL again, I'm definitely going back to have my steak!

I got the teriyaki sirloin steak & it was great, very juicy. Got a dirty martini to drink & it was the perfect amount of brine.

Super service at this classic delicious steakhouse! Extremely considerate of allergies & cross contamination is taken seriously. Enjoyed the pub vibes with a delicious steak & red wine. Would come again!

Service was one of the best until one big mistake by the kitchen. Ordered'medium well done' & the steak was cooked too long. The waiter noticed it but only asked me if it was good. I said yes quickly. After a byte they returned it & cooked me new steak but they quickly cooked it so the top was overcooked & it was well medium well done but crispy outside. Manager was there to make sure it was satisfactory but I did not want to cause a scene. We paid 18% tip as the service was good. I dont recomment this place for steak or meat lovers as they try to pass a quick one on you if the kitchen destroys the order.

Great steaks, wide choice, reasonable prices. Maybe too loud on the'left side' of the restaurant, being rather a sports bar (TV screens with the current matches/events), with people celebrating or watching & commenting Sport events. If you want more quite conditions, you should ask to be seated on the right side. In the picture, steak with blue cheese (it's not a Sau e, more a cheese cover, more crispy than melted).

We decided to eat here a bit by chance, but the menu was spectacular. We had an excellent steak & lobster. The appetizers at the beginning are magnificent (with butter, of course 😂). You guys have to go!

The Keg was amazing! Wonderful service & recommendations from William. The Caesar salad, the steak & mushrooms, crab legs, & twice baked potato were all so tasty - & to top it off, we were surprised with dessert for our celebration right after! Not sure what the dessert was called, but that alone would have been enough to bring my back, as it the main course wasn't! The ice cream like cake was so good, tasted like a Heath Bar, & very creamy!!
