We had a special New Year's Eve 5-course meal that was excellent. Oysters, tuna & veal tartare, rabbit ragout, sirloin, tiramisu, & the table favorite a lobster ravioli that I'd recommend again & again. Finished off with a Limoncello & some espresso. Thank you to the staff for working in our Family on a busy night. Wait staff & manager were super attentive & made it a very special finale to 2024! Merci Beaucoup!
Resto italien avec de belles entrées qui peuvent être partagées. À souligner : la tranche de pain au ricotta! wow. On a beaucoup aimé les pâtes, bien al dente avec de bonnes sauces. Définitivement recommandé & nous voulons déjà revenir!
Do not be deceived by the diminutive menu. Stellina overdelivers. The descriptions are brief, but only because they don't want to brag. Each & every item we ordered was exceptional. It can't be luck. The kitchen focuses their energies on delivering perfection, not breadth. I highly recommend the rabbit cappellacci.
Not a bad place. Food is good. Portions are not that huge & they are pricey. Can't say it was a bad experience going there but there are a lot better restaurants out there the same price but it's not bad. If somebody said they're going there to eat & ask me what I thought of it, I would recommend they go without saying anything wrong. There's really nothing wrong. It's good, it's just expensive & the portions are not huge. So if you're not too hungry, it's a good place to go. If you don't mind paying a little bit. Staff was good. It was easy to find. I had heard a lot of hype about it on social media so I had to try it. So all this to say that you should go & maybe try it out. They don't have a big menu so what they have is good. It's fresh. So anyways go try this out. Folks get up, get out & go eat there. Don't forget to leave a review of what you thought of it. People really appreciate reviews so I give accurate descriptions from experiences & I've had thousands & thousands of experiences in restaurants & parks & different recreational centers & areas. So don't hesitate folks go try it out. Let me know. Let us know. Let everyone know what you thought of it. If you agree or disagree go try it out. It's a good place. Okay good food. Just pricey. That's the way to get a 3 from me.
The person who left the review below me is angry she got carbohydrates served in a restaurant specialized in pastas. The food is amazing & the burrata was the thing we liked the most. Recommend so much if you're visiting Montreal even if the price is a bit high.
I love the concept & ambiance of this place. Sat at the bar, & the drinks were good. However, the food wasn't up to our standard. We disliked half of what we ordered. Despite calling ahead to ask about vegan options, I found there wasn't much choice upon speaking to the chef. I ended up with a mediocre pasta with tomato sauce, which I had to heavily season with hot sauce for flavor. The salad I ordered as an entre (INSALATA) cost $22, which I found ridiculous for the portion & ingredients. My friend had the bone marrow & oxtail pasta called'Angolotti'; he said it was bland, lacked flavor, & the portion was insufficient for the $35 price tag. When our bartender/waitress asked how it was & we expressed dissatisfaction, she simply took the plate away without further inquiry. Another friend had a creamy pasta that he found overly rich, & he informed the waitress. They also ordered the octopus entré ($28) to share, which they both disliked. The waitress kindly removed it from the bill but only compensated one of them with bread & a sauce, & then charged us for this'compensation.' They also shared the mushroom & prosciutto entré (funghi saltimbocca $23), which they found okay. Some of us left hungry. The service was decent, with hardworking waitstaff & an okay waitress/bartender. Overall, I recommend this place for drinks with friends. However, the food was not great & overpriced. I might return to try the actual menu once my vegan diet is over. For now, I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars. I hope this review helps both the business & the customers.
Outstanding food & service. Robert, Eddy & Victor made our experiance incredible. Tasting menu, wine pairings, explanations of the food in detail. Everything exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a great culinary experiance.
One of the best & few Italian restaurants in the city. I definitely recommend going.
3.5 stars Let's start with the service, the waitress was amazingly nice & patient with us. She took the time to give explanations & her recommandations. As for the atmosphere, it feels very elegant & cozy, we loved the whole decor. For the food, the pasta are homemade on the spott, & it really shows. However the price to portion ratio was not satisfying for us. I ordered the agnolotti for 35$ & I had about 10 pasta in my plate, & the food was not hot. I understand that we pay for freshness & quality, but the portion just was very deceiving for me. However, my friends ordered the lobster pasta & that portion was rather reasonable for 2 persons (it was meant to be shared), but it was 40$ per person. So the food was good, but nothing out of the extraordinary. There are better italian places in Montréal which are more worth the price.
I recommend to ask to sit by the kitchen bar. It's a dinner & a show in one. The chef's are simply amazing & entertaining. The food is flavourful & portions are decent. We tried the $80 tasting menu & the server picked out some great choices. The ravioli & the pasta with cream sauce & 36 month old aged parmesan is to die for....all the antipasto choices he gave us were incredible. They have such a passion to make you a great meal & bring an authentic atmosphere & recipes to the table. Bravo & I will definitely be going again before I leave Montreal.
I love Stellina! It's one of the places I recommend to people when they are visiting. It's best to get a few plates & share (get less than what they recommend, I find it's always too much). The food is great but I really wish they would add/change up the menu a bit more. I find myself going less because not much has changed in the past year. Nevertheless, for at least once, you should try it!
Excellent service, amazing food, fantastic wine & amari selection - highly recommend!
Food was amazing for a large group with share plates.
The servers were very attentive & friendly.
I would recommend having a meal here while in Montreal.
Nous somme aller pour un souper d’anniversaire un samedi soir & le service /la nourriture A1 ( chaque interactions avec peu importe le personnel A1 ). Je recommande fortement
