Expensive splurge worth the service & the food.
I was surprised to see that this restaurant was listed in the Michelin guide (but has no stars... yet). Everyone here is super friendly & attentive. We figured that we had to do the 7-course, & we were warned it would be about three hours. Going into it knowing this was good... I think other reviewers were off-put like the 7-course was being discouraged. The restaurant itself is pretty dimly lit but not too dark, & the noise level is moderate & sometimes you can't hear people at a normal volume, which kind of stinks.
But we're here to figure out how the food is, right? Summarized, $150 CAD is not bad for a filling & adventurous 7-course splurge prepared by a team dedicated to their craft. Apologies that I can't remember exactly what was what, because it was hard to hear in the restaurant & also my memory sucks.
- First course was literally a single tortellini. I almost laughed at the idea of being served just ONE of them, & imagining a chef trying to dress a SINGLE one. It was actually not my most favorite of all seven courses, but if you gave me a plate of these, it would be very, very good. I don't remember exactly what it was but it was like braised rib meat with mushroom. Mostly savory with no real contrast.
- Second course was a nice Asian-inspired fusion of flavors with a tempura buried in strands of a veg. Nice combination of cohesive flavors & texture.
- Third course was a super-small piece of foie gras, surrounded by a similarly-sized apricot & some greens on top of a paste & drizzled with a champagne reduction. Lots of flavors here & what looks like the first of the rest of the courses with what looked & tasted like Brussel sprout leaves.
- Fourth course was a piece of stingray. Never had stingray before, & the sauce it came with was slightly salty & savory, which was nice.
- Fifth course was two lambchops & probably the largest amount of food for any of the courses. More Brussel sprout greens on top of a turnip mash, if I remember right. This was nice, meaty, & delish. Weirdly enough, it also had a touch of leek ash... literal ash. Not really sure why other than for presentation.
- Sixth course was an aerated cheese foam with honey, nuts, all sitting on croutons. This was weirdly one of my favorites, as it was such a simple dish where you could enjoy all of the flavors distinctively, not to mention enjoy a foamed cheese from Quebec.
- Lastly, the seventh course was a sort of torte with a crispy leaf pastry thing sitting on top of slivers of pear & what was kind of like a pear'applesauce' with a divot to hold a pistachio filling. This was also one of my favorites as everything was different from each other, flavor-wise. Very nice.
- We also got some little pistachio'muffins' with a coffee-like cream on top as a bonus. Not bad, but not amazing.
There is also a VAST wine selection, ranging from $15 glasses to $6500 bottles. I feel bad that I'm not a wine sommelier to be able to appreciate all of the expressions & vintages.
This may seem like I'm being picky, but I'm doing that on purpose considering you would be paying $150 for food you may or may not enjoy. I still highly recommend the multi-course meals at least once to experience them.
They also charge $11 CAD for sparkling or flat water.
Definitely would come again!
We went to sEb in early January 2026, we took the pre-set 4 course option, with wine pairing, & had a wonderful culinary experience. The quality of the meal was exceptional, & it's great to be able to experience this, in St-Jovite, at such a reasonable price. We had dinner at Le Cirque restaurant in Las Vegas 3 days after our dinner at sEb, & the experience was similarly great, but at 4 times the cost! Highly recommend sEb if you're in the Tremblant area.
My partner & I booked a date for our 3 year anniversary at the restaurant. Small but charming restaurant in the heart of Mont-Tremblant. We we're greated inside & seated almost immediately. We opted for the 7 service degustation menu. Dishes were creative & innovative. Each one of them paired with fresh ingredients & outgoing flavours. Our waiter & manager were both friendly professional & responsive to our needs. They frequently asked for feedback our opinion on our experience. We highly recommend.
Amazing experience. They went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Would highly recommend.
Flawless from beginning to end. Our meal was extraordinary & the service was impeccable. We had the tasting menu & added the foie gras appetizer, & we highly recommend both. Cocktails & wine were delicious. Overall wonderful experience.
We had an absolutely fabulous dinner at sEb! Instead of the tasting menu, we opted for à la carte selections & were blown away by both the veal shank & the venison-each dish was perfectly prepared & bursting with flavour. As visitors excited to try a local favourite, sEb exceeded all expectations. The service was warm, attentive, & genuinely pleasant, complementing the outstanding food perfectly. We'll absolutely be back on our next visit. Highly recommend!
My visit to Seb l'Artisan Culinaire was nothing short of exceptional. Our group of eight was warmly welcomed & treated like family from the moment we stepped through the door. The service was attentive & friendly, striking the perfect balance between professionalism & genuine hospitality.
Each dish was a delightful work of culinary art - the flavors were bold & innovative, showcasing the chef's creativity & passion for quality ingredients. The presentation was impeccable, making each plate a feast for both the eyes & the palate.
The ambiance further enhanced our dining experience. The thoughtfully designed interior created an inviting & relaxed atmosphere, ideal for both intimate gatherings & larger celebrations. Every detail, from the decor to the music, contributed to a truly memorable evening.
I highly recommend Seb l'Artisan Culinaire to anyone looking for a restaurant where excellent service, exquisite food, & a charming ambiance come together seamlessly. It's the perfect spot for a special occasion or an indulgent night out!
Fantastic food & service. Amazing selection of wine. One of the best in the area. Highly recommend.
I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at sEb L'artisan culinare. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm & welcoming. Our server, Julie, was fabulous-so friendly, attentive, & knowledgeable about the menu. She made our evening even more enjoyable with her excellent recommendations. The highlight of the meal was definitely the lamb shank dish-it was beyond delicious- tender, flavorful, & cooked to perfection. It was so good that I couldn't stop savoring every bite, & the portion was incredibly generous. Honestly, it was a feast for the senses! If you're looking for a top-notch French dining experience with impeccable service, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
First time at Seb & it wont be the last one. We went to celebrate our daughter in law's bday. My goodness they delivered! As for dessert, semifredo, his grandma's crepes, chocolate nemesis. & before we left, they served us lemmon "yummy" cookies The food was outstanding! So tasty! & the portions were abundant. The plates were so nice too & beautifully presented! We love it from begining to the end. Bravo! We will be back ( here are dome pictures) I highly recommend you this place Thank you do much

It was a 20 minute drive from our hotel but really worth it! The ambiance was cozy & welcoming. We all had the four course tasting menu & were more than satisfied. Tuna tartare, smoked sturgeon were the starters, for entrees 3 tried the fresh fish which was delicious & cooked perfectly. I tried the duck & it was so delicious I had to share. Dessert was a simple & elegant olive cake. Service was wonderful & I'd highly recommend if you have the chance!

Excellent service, delicious food, very unique dining experience.
Definitely highly recommend!
We ordered a celebratory take out dinner for four & we were very happy with our experience. The food was delicious & easy to heat up .. no fuss, no mess. Highly recommend.

My husband & I had dinner here while on vacation to Mont Tremblant. We decided to splurge & go with the 7 course blind tasting menu & it did not disappoint! Everything we had was absolutely delicious & the server was friendly, knowledgeable & described everything to us with each course. Really fantastic! Highly recommend & would go back if in the area again!

AMAZING experience. There were four of us dining here for dinner from out of town & the food, the flavors, the wine, the service - everything was fantastic. Highly recommend!

One of the best meals we have had. We had the 4 course paired with wine. Perfect pairings & perfect flavors in the food. Fresh ingredients, great flavors. Highly recommend. Staff was friendly & attentive. The space was beautiful..

Delicious food with tons of flavor! & the service is impeccable. Price was also right for the experience/area. Highly recommend for locals & visitors alike!

Wonderful restaurant, service, & food! We ordered the 4-course meal with wine pairings & the waiter was fantastic in pairing good wines with each dish. There was even an option to choose the paired wine at times. Both my husband & I agreed we'd never experienced such great service, Sebastian is top notch! Highly recommend!

Sebs is amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 course tasting menu. The service was excellent & wine recommendation was perfect. It is our favorite restaurant in the Tremblant area. Highly recommend it.
