UPDATE in 2026: This previous review was from 2024, since then Parc sans Gluten has changed owners & it's like day & night! This was the best thing that could have happened to the place. The new owners are super friendly, helpful, they really know what good customer service means! Yes, the prices went up a little bit but besides that the entire place has changed for the better. Now you actually enjoy sitting inside to eat & the quality of the products got also better! No ambiguity anymore when it comes to ingredients, no I don't know how many days old bread.
We could not be happier!

My partner is celiac & this is one of the few gluten free places we can go to on the Plateau. Unfortunately, our experience there has gotten worse & worse.
Not only is the service far from friendly (the person looks as if they don't like working there at all) but the sandwiches don't contain what's indicated on the label. Instead of peas, carrots & chicken you get a sandwich with chicken & bell pepper only in it. Very DISAPPOINTING, I would even call it false advertising.
Another negative point is their communication. We asked them two weeks ago if they have any vacation planned so we could be prepared & go elsewhere. No, they said, nothing planned. Now, they have been closed for two weeks in a row with no sign on the door, no changed hours on Google, nothing. Please, take into consideration that there's people out there who are DEPENDENT on gluten free options & that can't just go to a different place just like that!!
Their prices seem to be random as well, no price labels & our sandwich has a different price every time we buy there. En plus, the machine will be held towards you so you can't see the price.
If this wasn't literally the only 100% gluten free bakery on the Plateau, we'd look elsewhere, but since it's close to Parc Lafontaine it's a nice stop for a snack in the park.
1000000/10, so so good! The danishes, empanadas, & croissants were all incredible!! Best gluten free pastries that we've ever had. The owner was absolutely lovely, so friendly, helpful & kind. A must do for visitors with a gluten or dairy allergy! (:
5 stars ++++ a MUST for any GF DF people - expect to want to go multiple times! Friendly staff, excellent location & incredible GF pastry, like no other for quality. Merci Parc sans gluten ❤?
Worth the stop just for the friendly service! One of the best gluten free chocolatines in Montreal!
Rigtig god kaffe.
I was surprised, but the spinach potato empanada was probably the best gluten-free pastry I've ever had! 😳
The dough was fresh, with clean, hearty ingredients.
The apple tart is also very well done. This one was a little dry for me, but nothing a favourite beverage couldn't balance out. The apple pieces themselves were not dry.
The flavours were wonderful, not too overpowering, & definitely not bland. Very well done, I shall be back.
🤍🙏🏾✨
This is the best croissant I have had in my life …
I got an almond croissant & it was incredible. Like guei inside. I am now in Toronto regretting not buying more for my parents to try
Ps. I am not gluten free, actually if I read the title of the restaurant I wouldn't have come in so glad I just walked in to try! So sad there is no locations in Toronto !!
I'm not a celiac nor do I avoid gluten but these 100% GF products are some of the best pastries I've eaten. I've chosen to go here over other bakeries because they're that delicious.
The raspberry danish is on another level of tasty.
Very friendly & inviting staff too!
I discovered Parc Sans Gluten yesterday while hanging out at Parc La Fontaine with some friends, & I am so glad I did. As someone with celiac disease, finding safe places to eat can be stressful, so the fact that it was only about a five minute walk from where we were in the park already felt like a win.
Even though we arrived pretty late in the day & they were closing in about an hour & a half, I was surprised by how many options were still available. The selection felt generous & thoughtfully organized. One side had more tarts & pastries, while the other featured classic items like croissants, chocolatines, & almond chocolatines. It actually felt like walking into a'normal' bakery, which is rare when you have to eat gluten free.
I ordered a ham & cheese croissant, which I have been craving for so long. Being able to order one at a café without worrying about getting sick honestly felt amazing. It was super flaky, reminded me of buttery goodness (but it is dairy free!) & really satisfying. I also grabbed a chocolatine for later, & it held up perfectly. I reheated it at home & it tasted fresh, with lots of rich chocolate inside, exactly how I like it.
My friend, who does not need to eat gluten free, also loved their almond chocolatine & said they would definitely come back. The staff member working was incredibly kind & attentive, even checking in to make sure everything was good. They also gave me a loyalty card, which was a nice touch.
It is maybe about a dollar more expensive than other gluten free spots I have tried, but for the quality & peace of mind, it is absolutely worth it. I will definitely be back & recommending it to others.
So damn tasty-Gluten & dairy free. We tried the empanadas, the tarts, a plain croissant (plus, took home the chickens pie from the frozen section). Everything was great & the service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Delicious gluten free delicacies! I did have some confusion with the website saying they were dairy free & found out they were not all dairy free so make sure to check first but everything is delish.
Incredible gluten-free pastries & a delightful flat white to pair. The croissants & empanadas were absolutely to die for (even by non-gluten-free standards, but this is all gluten-free!) & the perfect start to our day. Staff was helpful, bilingual (French/English) & super friendly! Everything in shop is gluten-free, which was such a huge relief for my celiac partner. 5/5!
Super friendly service, they truly go above & beyond to make you feel welcomed & have some of the best selection of gluten free treats in the city!
Great gluten free pastries. The staff is friendly. Beautiful views of the Parc Lafontaine
Merci pour l'accueil & ces délicieux recettes sans gluten & sans traces !
C'était parfait 🙂
Their chocolatine (pain au chocolat) is amazing! At least for me, with my gluten-free & dairy-free diet, I don't remember when I had such a tasty one. & their bread is amazingly soft for a gluten-frew bread. I'll go again.
This place has the best gluten free pastries & croissants I have ever had. My husband has celiac & he said it was the best bakery he has ever had. I would've never guessed it was gluten free. The staff is very nice & very knowledgeable about the products they serve. Highly recommend!
Best gluten free bakery I've ever been to. The ham & cheese croissant was amazing. They have perfected the art of gluten free baking!!!!
Literally writing this as I sit & finish my pastries because I couldn't wait to tell everyone how amazing this place is! My friend & I were just looking to warm our fingers & instead found the most warm & welcoming little patisserie. The staff is lovely & the treats are to die for! I had no clue it was all gluten free until the lady behind the counter told us. When in Montreal you have to stop in!
