I got diarrhea & also severe side effects from eating here.
I don't think this place is gluten free & dairy free.
Don't recommend this place & will be submitting report.
Edit: then why do keep saying to the customers it's dairy-free? It's not dairy-free (as per your response here).
Already submitted report to the province for potential food poisoning.
Also their cake tastes awful. Like eating something akin to uncooked bakery.
Very delicious. Ive never had gluten free baked goods as delicious as these. Its a proper bakery with all the classics you would expect & all gluten free!
The employees are also very kind & add to the whole experience. Would highly recommend!
UPDATE in 2026: This previous review was from 2024, since then Parc sans Gluten has changed owners & it's like day & night! This was the best thing that could have happened to the place. The new owners are super friendly, helpful, they really know what good customer service means! Yes, the prices went up a little bit but besides that the entire place has changed for the better. Now you actually enjoy sitting inside to eat & the quality of the products got also better! No ambiguity anymore when it comes to ingredients, no I don't know how many days old bread.
We could not be happier!

My partner is celiac & this is one of the few gluten free places we can go to on the Plateau. Unfortunately, our experience there has gotten worse & worse.
Not only is the service far from friendly (the person looks as if they don't like working there at all) but the sandwiches don't contain what's indicated on the label. Instead of peas, carrots & chicken you get a sandwich with chicken & bell pepper only in it. Very DISAPPOINTING, I would even call it false advertising.
Another negative point is their communication. We asked them two weeks ago if they have any vacation planned so we could be prepared & go elsewhere. No, they said, nothing planned. Now, they have been closed for two weeks in a row with no sign on the door, no changed hours on Google, nothing. Please, take into consideration that there's people out there who are DEPENDENT on gluten free options & that can't just go to a different place just like that!!
Their prices seem to be random as well, no price labels & our sandwich has a different price every time we buy there. En plus, the machine will be held towards you so you can't see the price.
If this wasn't literally the only 100% gluten free bakery on the Plateau, we'd look elsewhere, but since it's close to Parc Lafontaine it's a nice stop for a snack in the park.
I discovered Parc Sans Gluten yesterday while hanging out at Parc La Fontaine with some friends, & I am so glad I did. As someone with celiac disease, finding safe places to eat can be stressful, so the fact that it was only about a five minute walk from where we were in the park already felt like a win.
Even though we arrived pretty late in the day & they were closing in about an hour & a half, I was surprised by how many options were still available. The selection felt generous & thoughtfully organized. One side had more tarts & pastries, while the other featured classic items like croissants, chocolatines, & almond chocolatines. It actually felt like walking into a'normal' bakery, which is rare when you have to eat gluten free.
I ordered a ham & cheese croissant, which I have been craving for so long. Being able to order one at a café without worrying about getting sick honestly felt amazing. It was super flaky, reminded me of buttery goodness (but it is dairy free!) & really satisfying. I also grabbed a chocolatine for later, & it held up perfectly. I reheated it at home & it tasted fresh, with lots of rich chocolate inside, exactly how I like it.
My friend, who does not need to eat gluten free, also loved their almond chocolatine & said they would definitely come back. The staff member working was incredibly kind & attentive, even checking in to make sure everything was good. They also gave me a loyalty card, which was a nice touch.
It is maybe about a dollar more expensive than other gluten free spots I have tried, but for the quality & peace of mind, it is absolutely worth it. I will definitely be back & recommending it to others.
This place has the best gluten free pastries & croissants I have ever had. My husband has celiac & he said it was the best bakery he has ever had. I would've never guessed it was gluten free. The staff is very nice & very knowledgeable about the products they serve. Highly recommend!
Best gluten free bakery I've ever been to. The ham & cheese croissant was amazing. They have perfected the art of gluten free baking!!!!
This place is amazing! The best gluten-free croissant I've ever had, or ever imagined I'd have. I will plan all future trips to Montreal around this bakery.
The absolute BEST bakery!!! Everything I had here was out of this world, the best gluten free pastries- my friend who is not gluten free said that it's the best chocolate croissant she's had hands down! I came back the next day & then again to buy frozen croissants to take home! The owner is AMAZING!!! The sweetest lady who cares so much about quality & taste & it is evident!!! I wish I lived in Montreal so I could go every day!
Such an incredible gluten free bakery!!! Their pastries (both sweet & savory) are incredible. Staff are also very sweet. Highly recommend for anyone - celiac or not!
