I stopped by Parc Sans Gluten & everything I tried was absolutely delicious. I had the chocolate amandine, a blueberry chausson, & a blueberry tart - & they were all incredible.
The chocolate amandine was so rich & decadent that I honestly would have never guessed it was gluten-free. The blueberry pastries were also amazing - perfectly sweet & full of flavor.
As someone who eats gluten-free, it's always such a treat to find a place where everything tastes this good. I will definitely be coming back!
The absolute BEST bakery!!! Everything I had here was out of this world, the best gluten free pastries- my friend who is not gluten free said that it's the best chocolate croissant she's had hands down! I came back the next day & then again to buy frozen croissants to take home! The owner is AMAZING!!! The sweetest lady who cares so much about quality & taste & it is evident!!! I wish I lived in Montreal so I could go every day!
Amazing quality, passionate pastry chefs, & extremely friendly staff. The chocolate almond croissant is an absolute must!!!! Perfectly flaky & full of flavor.
My husband & I are from the states & we come to Montreal at least once a year & love finding new food places to enjoy. I was diagnosed celiac 4yrs ago & the one thing I have not had in those 4 years is a croissant. I love almond croissants & most other desserts & when we found this place we were so excited. To walk in to a bakery & see beautiful pastries & know that they are all gf was one of the greatest feelings. We got a few things to try. The chocolate almond croissant, a turkey & cheese croissant sandwich, the chicken & spinach empanada. Everything was excellent, amazing, out of this world. The texture was more dense than a croissant with regular flour but still had that croissant feel. It was actually more filling & kept me full the rest of the day, whereas a'regular' croissant in the past would've held me over for maybe an hour & then I'd need something of more substance. We bought extra stuff to take home with us (can't wait to try the tiramisu) & will definitely return to this bakery anytime we are in the city. To top it off, one of the owners chatted with us about how they are able to make their desserts gluten & dairy free (which is mind blowing that the croissants didn't use use butter because I could not tell). She was so lovely & kind & wanted to make sure we were enjoying everything. I could have just hung out there & talked all day. Thank you for the kind service & tasty treats!
Absolutely the best gluten free chocolate croissant I have ever had! We have traveled all over the world & this is definitely the best!! We live in New York & anytime we come to Montreal we always come to this AMAZING bakery!!
Just took my first bite of the chocolate croissant & I can't believe this is gluten free because the texture & flavor is so amazing! The staff was also super friendly here. I definitely recommend if you visit Montreal, you will not be disappointed!
The almond chocolate croissant was SO good, melted in my mouth, perfect consistency, I can't believe it was gluten & lactose free!! 😍😍
Best gluten free croissants in Montreal!
I tried croissants from a few bakeries & these are my favourite. I come here from Ottawa & they're worth the trip.
Plain, almond, chocolate, chocolate almond are all delicious! Oh, & there's also three kinds of danish (blueberry, raspberry, lemon), we tried them all, & it's hard to pick a favourite. Very good eclairs & tarts too.
Great gluten free bread & baguettes.
They have lunch options as well, we usually go for croissants, but everything we tried here, is delicious!
Very friendly staff!
I'm a symptomatic celiac, my kids have gluten & dairy allergy, never had any reaction & always feel safe shopping here.
Amazing!! Tapioca & rice flour laminated dough with soy milk custard & jelly fillings(lemon, blueberry or strawberry). Items were flaky & we went on a Tuesday AM & they were warm from the oven. Also had a plain croissants & chocolate croissant. We don't try the almond croissant or the chicken & spinach empanadas but they looked lovely, lightly brown & crispy. The waitstaff was so kind & checked in with us while we were enjoying on the outdoor patio, offering cups of water.
I thought I would never be able to eat an empanada again after developing a gluten allergy. But Parc Sans Gluten made it possible. The potato & spinach empanada, which I was lucky enough to get right out of the oven, was extraordinary. Even my gluten-eating partner thought it was amazing.
UPDATE: I tried the chocolate croissant this morning. Bliss! It was perfect & delicious. The texture was slightly different from what I remember, but my gluten-eating partner said she thought it was actually *better* than a glutinous croissant. I am officially a PSG fan for life.
Hands down the best gluten free croissant I've ever had! We had the chocolate croissant & potato/spinach empanada which were both amazing! Almost everything here is gluten & dairy free but you'd never know. This place is a hidden gem. A must go for anyone gluten or dairy free.
The croissants almost made me cry, the chocolate was so good. The best gluten free pastries I've had, 10/10.
I was so excited to discover this bakery on our trip to Montreal. I haven't had a good pastry since going gluten free. We tried the chicken & spinach empanadas, chocolate & plain croissants, & the multi grain bread. They were amazing! I was the only gluten free person in our group & everyone enjoyed the treats. We wouldn't have known they were gluten free.
I highly recommend this patisserie!
Purely wonderful!!! Chocolate croissants & Chicken & Spinach empanada were to die for. Well worth the trip to this gluten free bakery in this quaint park side neighborhood.
EVERYTHING is gluten free!!! Omg so good too we had a chicken wrap heated up. & chocolate croissants with coffee. Thanks so much to the owners for being so welcoming. Will be back for more baked goods before we head home!!!!
Rude server. One item I bought was stale but chocolate croissant was good. The whole store didn't look clean or well kept. Like it was said before me... a lot of potential but it's waisted..
This place was one of the highlights of our trip to Montreal! I've been gluten free for 15 years & my daughter is gluten sensitive, so finding this place was a real treat. The chocolate croissants are incredible & they have a wide variety of baked goods. Also a beautiful location right by the park.
We were traveling from the United States. My wife is a celiac, strictly gluten-free. So searching around on Google I discovered this charming little patisserie on a corner, across from a beautiful park. But the magic? Everything in this patisserie is gluten-free. I brought my wife, a celiac of 33 years, & she stood in the middle of the bakery looking around at all the incredible treats & kept looking at me asking "Are you serious? Everything is gluten-free " (See photo). & not just breakfast pastries. Yes, there are breakfast croissants & sandwiches. But there are also incredible wraps/burritos for lunch on the go, or to keep in your backpack for later. I'm telling you, as a non-gluten-free person, I took bites of everything that my wife bought & it was some of the most delicious pastry I've ever put in my mouth - & I would never have known that it was gluten free. Ive spent 30 years trying to create baked goods for my wife. How the owner gets these light, airy puffed pastries & croissants is simply beyond me. (Dairy-free options, too!). We ate outside on the patio & I'm telling you when my wife took her first bite of the chocolate filled croissant, she started crying. (See picture). That says it all. Go, enjoy, without worry. It's amazing.
Saw this pastry shop & we had to try as my friend is celiac & it had great reviews! We tried some chocolate croissants & they were absolutely delicious, even better than some regular chocolate croissants I've had before. If it ended there, my review would be 5 stars, but unfortunately the person operating the shop was incredibly rude, as well as our teas were undrinkable! The teabags were completely broken. When I asked for my empanada to be warmed up, he shrugged & took it away, & when I took a bite it was still cold on the inside. This place has so much potential but unfortunately left me with a sour taste in my mouth, not just from my cold empanada.
