I was diagnosed celiac 4yrs ago & the one thing I have not had in those 4 years is a croissant. I love almond croissants & most other desserts & when we found this place we were so excited. To walk in to a bakery & see beautiful pastries & know that they are all gf was one of the greatest feelings. We got a few things to try. The chocolate almond croissant, a turkey & cheese croissant sandwich, the chicken & spinach empanada. Everything was excellent, amazing, out of this world. The texture was more dense than a croissant with regular flour but still had that croissant feel. It was actually more filling & kept me full the rest of the day, whereas a'regular' croissant in the past would've held me over for maybe an hour & then I'd need something of more substance. We bought extra stuff to take home with us (can't wait to try the tiramisu) & will definitely return to this bakery anytime we are in the city. To top it off, one of the owners chatted with us about how they are able to make their desserts gluten & dairy free (which is mind blowing that the croissants didn't use use butter because I could not tell). She was so lovely & kind & wanted to make sure we were enjoying everything. I could have just hung out there & talked all day. Thank you for the kind service & tasty treats!
Delicious gluten free baked goods. I buy for myself & when I have guests over. My favs are their regular chocolatine, the almond chocolatine, the almond croissant, & all the empanadas! I typically order delivery but I interacted once with a lady once over the phone & she was super kind. Highly recommended!
The almond chocolate croissant was SO good, melted in my mouth, perfect consistency, I can't believe it was gluten & lactose free!! 😍😍
Best gluten free croissants in Montreal!
I tried croissants from a few bakeries & these are my favourite. I come here from Ottawa & they're worth the trip.
Plain, almond, chocolate, chocolate almond are all delicious! Oh, & there's also three kinds of danish (blueberry, raspberry, lemon), we tried them all, & it's hard to pick a favourite. Very good eclairs & tarts too.
Great gluten free bread & baguettes.
They have lunch options as well, we usually go for croissants, but everything we tried here, is delicious!
Very friendly staff!
I'm a symptomatic celiac, my kids have gluten & dairy allergy, never had any reaction & always feel safe shopping here.
Amazing!! Tapioca & rice flour laminated dough with soy milk custard & jelly fillings(lemon, blueberry or strawberry). Items were flaky & we went on a Tuesday AM & they were warm from the oven. Also had a plain croissants & chocolate croissant. We don't try the almond croissant or the chicken & spinach empanadas but they looked lovely, lightly brown & crispy. The waitstaff was so kind & checked in with us while we were enjoying on the outdoor patio, offering cups of water.
Got the empanada & the almond croissant. Both delicious! Very cute place & everything 100% gluten free (for a great price)
I wish I had stopped here every day of vacation instead of just the last. Note that it is cash only & the nearest ATM is 1 long block northwest, (but if that's closed, the next is another long block north west). The entire store is sans gluten. I didn't bother taking a pill in case of cross contamination. I bought the plain croissant, croissant with chocolate, almond sliver & sugar covered, & the chicken & cheese croissant. The walk to the ATM was SO worth it. They were all fantastic. Best Gluten Free croissants I've ever had. I will go out of my way to come here every time I'm in town again.
We were astounded by the variety here, & had to resist the urge to confirm that every single thing was gluten free. Went for breakfast & coffee in a big group & had to split into two tables as seating is somewhat limited. We ordered a variety of croissants (plain, chocolate, almond), danish & apple turnover, blueberry tart, all of which were amazing & the gluten eaters said they couldn't tell the difference. Portions were also large which is unusual in gluten free life. Even the coffee was great. My husband carried around a sandwich for later & it was pretty good but a little crumbly, possibly from being carried around all morning. Also if you come at the right time you can see them rolling out the pastry which is pretty cool! The only downside which I think is important to note is that the place is CASH ONLY.
