Review Summary

Parc Sans Gluten is described as a gluten-free and dairy-free bakery near Lafontaine Park that earns praise for exceptional flaky pastries, croissants, danishes, empanadas, and bread, with many visitors from New York noting it as a must-visit and traveling specifically to Montreal to experience the offerings. The reviews repeatedly highlight the chocolate and almond croissants as among the best they have had, along with sweet and savory pastries that taste rich and delicate despite being gluten and dairy free. The bakery is credited with a warm, welcoming vibe and friendly staff, and several sources point to a recent change in ownership that revitalized the place and improved service and options including online ordering and delivery. Pricing is described as reasonable given quality, and the environment is praised as celiac safe with attention to guests' dietary needs. Taken together, Parc Sans Gluten comes across as a standout gluten-free bakery in Montreal, especially popular with travelers from New York who regard it as a rare find and worth a trip for the croissants, empanadas, tarts, and other pastries.

I wish I had stopped here every day of vacation instead of just the last. Note that it is cash only & the nearest ATM is 1 long block northwest, (but if that's closed, the next is another long block north west). The entire store is sans gluten. I didn't bother taking a pill in case of cross contamination. I bought the plain croissant, croissant with chocolate, almond sliver & sugar covered, & the chicken & cheese croissant. The walk to the ATM was SO worth it. They were all fantastic. Best Gluten Free croissants I've ever had. I will go out of my way to come here every time I'm in town again.

We were astounded by the variety here, & had to resist the urge to confirm that every single thing was gluten free. Went for breakfast & coffee in a big group & had to split into two tables as seating is somewhat limited. We ordered a variety of croissants (plain, chocolate, almond), danish & apple turnover, blueberry tart, all of which were amazing & the gluten eaters said they couldn't tell the difference. Portions were also large which is unusual in gluten free life. Even the coffee was great. My husband carried around a sandwich for later & it was pretty good but a little crumbly, possibly from being carried around all morning. Also if you come at the right time you can see them rolling out the pastry which is pretty cool! The only downside which I think is important to note is that the place is CASH ONLY.
