noodle(516) soup(141) beef(93) broth(86) recommend(47) bowl(44) spicy(44) busy(39) fresh(39) rapide(39) pulled(35) flavor(33)The soup is great unbeatable. Service was much better a few years ago when I discovered it & there were no Reviews on the web. Now, they are very famous thanks to posts like mine, but now you have to wait 20 to 60 min to have a table & the service has become "blazé", slightly indifferent. Oh yeh, the prices have increased 50%.
I've heard about this place from the internet & try to visit it. It was really good. The noodle is handmade & you can choose the type of the noodle you like. The broth is also good & the portion is big. I ordered the traditional beef noodle soup big size & it was bigger than I expected. Their chili is not as hot as I expected & their beef is chewy & tender. The place is a little bit small, but there's a lineup when I visited it. Be prepare to get in a lineup especially on the weekend at dinner hour. The lineup is worth for the food itself.
Portions are quite large, around $15-20 each DanDan & beef tender soup are great options
The food is fresh & good Waiting is long, terrible service, hygiene is average Impossible to sit in in the summer because if the heat, no air conditioning Not recommend at all
Probably the most popular restaurant of Montreal's Chinatown. Lan Zhou Noodles has been a staple of hand-pulled noodles for many years. I suggest ordering the original noodles with medium sized noodles. Beware the portions are very big (even a small is filling!). The line is very long, so I recommend coming in at odd-hours. P.s. you can even visit the grocery store downstairs!
