noodle(409) soup(113) beef(80) broth(77) spicy(39) recommend(37) rapide(36) bowl(35) busy(31) fresh(29) huge(27) salad(26)Incredible. Magnificent. Showstopping. I would give it 6 stars if I could.
We were lucky to get a table for 5 people! Resto not busy. We ordered 4 vegie noodle soups & one beef noodle soup. Portion was very generous. We enjoyed all soups. Veggie Broth not as rich as meat Broth but this is why we liked it. Simple & yet still delicious. We love trying diffrent soups.
My go-to place for noodles with friend. Their broth is hearty & their noodles have great texture & variety, the meat is also nice. Mind that the soup portions can be very large. The place is pretty popular, so you may need to queue at peak hours.
Perfecto para un día de invierno en Montreal. Los fideos son artesanales.
The quantity was generous but it honestly didn't live up to the hype to me.
I've been to Nouilles de Lan Zhou a few times for lunch, & the food has been consistently delicious every visit.
The hand?pulled noodles are always fresh & springy, the broths are flavourful without being too heavy, & the portions are generous enough to feel satisfying. Even during busy lunch hours, the service is quick & efficient, & the dishes come out piping hot. For the quality you get, the prices are very reasonable, which makes it an easy place to return to whenever I'm in Chinatown. A dependable spot for a comforting, well?made bowl of noodles.
Overall it was great.
We waited for 30 mins but the order came out fast.
Ordered Dandan noodle & Beef noodle:
Dandan noodle: On point. Probably the best dandan we had in North America.
Beef noodle: Maybe it was the size 4 noodle but it was pretty average in my opinion.
Still great choice for people looking for reasonable priced food in town.
If you're a fan of fresh, hand-pulled noodles in a rich, aromatic broth, this Montreal spot is a must-try, nothing else quite compares. It's so popular that lines are common, but they move quickly & are absolutely worth the wait. My go-to order is the beef Lanzhou pulled #2 noodles paired with a flavourful cucumber salad. Solo diners take note: there's a dedicated counter section where you can usually snag a seat without waiting in line. Just walk passed the line (it's fine!). With its central location, fair prices, & great quality, this place ranks among Montréal's top eats imo.
ANY lanzhou noodle on any street of any city in China tastes better than this
Long wait on Saturday at 5pm. Not much space inside so prepare to brave the cold. Can see chefs hand pull noodles from the window
Best noodles in Montréal. Huge portions & amazing flavours. The noodles are freshly made & you can even see the staff getting them prepared.
Bathrooms are always clean & the service is always fast.
Nous n'avons même pas pu manger, la serveuse était très méchante. Il y avait trop de monde à l'intérieur dans le sas elle nous a crié dessus en nous demandant de sortir.
Il y a de bien meilleurs restaurants aux alentours.
Very tasty food, generous portions. We only waited for like 20 mins or so, so it was not too bad.
There is this loud & going-towards-almost-middle-aged woman who is very rude. She treated us badly from the first encounter, like she had a very bad day or something... okay I guess I could give it a pass. But what broke camel's back was when she was watching like a hwak standing right next to us watching how much tip we were going to give to her. I put less than 10% tip. I would have given her big fat ZERO!! But the other younger server was kinder to us so that was that.
That loud & rude lady should get fired & it is a shame this business let her work there.
Also I had this soup noodle'recommendation by chef'. More like a very salty hot water with spices in it. Hell if this is the Lanzhou noodle standard, I too should open up a restaurant.
Will never return here!!
Expensive for noodles, but you get what you pay for. These noodles are above average & the customization options are truly neat. No wonder why there's almost always a line during lunch time. The ingredients are also above average when it comes to quality. Service could be better, though. They seem to have no intention in explaining anything, but they're fast & you won't wait too long for your noodles, even when the place is jammed. & it's almost always jammed.
I'm a big enough fan of this place, I like their food, but the staff treats the customers terribly, yesterday when I went there again there were almost no people, & we were not allowed to choose a place to sit, then the waitress was very rude to us & we can say she just threw the menu on the table, & when it's time to pay. The woman at the checkout always makes you tip them, although the service is disgusting, if you don't give her anything, she gets angry, & in my opinion this is a very bad reaction to those people who regularly come to them & bring their friends.
Worst customer service. We were waiting for the seat, then another waitress kicked us all the way back to the line
Their brooth is excellent both beef & chicken with in house made noodles.
Staff efficient, fast & great.
If your looking for a fabulous soup, this is the place.
