Afficher toutsteak(338) steakhouse(72) recommend(65) rib(59) wine(58) quality(47) beautiful(45) dessert(44) decor(42) attentive(41) salad(41) qualite(40)Our first visit to Moishes was influenced by a TikTok video, & it left us with mixed feelings. Service: 4/5 The ambiance was undoubtedly the highlight 4/5. The atmosphere was truly amazing. However, when it came to the food, the Smoked Beef Short Rib, priced at $41, fell short of our expectations, though the Monte Carlo potato had a nice touch, resulting in a 2.5/5 rating. The racks of lamb, at $69 for 3 chops, were disappointingly small & lacked the expected flavor & tenderness, resulting in a 2/5 rating. The Lobster Mac & Cheese at $39 wasn't bad, but it was quite saucy. On the plus side, it had a decent amount of lobster pieces, & the cheese was nicely crispy. While it was decent, we've had better lobster mac & cheese, resulting in a 2.5/5 rating. In conclusion, we're not too eager to return. Our overall experience was a bit of a letdown, which wasn't what we were hoping for.

Ribsteaks were just ok. Service was slow, though very friendly. Table was at the back next to kitchen exit & private room, so not ideal. Valet scratched the hell out of my steering wheel with whatever rings he had on.

Even if you don't & / or refuse to speak English, your staff should be perfectly bilingual like your Anglophone customers who are enjoying an evening & paying the price to be served in their language. They are carnies & belong at the travelling circus. They are told something three times with perfect clarity & annunciation & pronunciation at a reasonable volume & repeat their mistake to you when done. Your GM is ridiculous. You are giving "Moishe" a bad name. The Rib must be throwing a party.

The rib in steak was medium rare when I asked for medium to well done/ well done

Exceptional lunch at the new location. Decor is sophisticated & uncrowded, service was seamless & attentive. Octopus course was divine, the ribeye & filet mignon perfection. Impressive selection of wine by the glass. I will make this a regular stop, a true pleasure.

Notre serveur était mal à l'aise avec nous.
Très bon sommelier - avons beaucoup aimé son interaction.
Côtelette de veau exceptionnelle - au-dessus des attentes, mieux qu'au Rib&Reef.

New location is very nice with well-done touches from the old space. The staff was very good & friendly - although service was perhaps a bit slow. But they were courteous & helpful. The food was very good although I am not sure the rib steak was as good as the old place. The cole slaw & pickles were just like the old days. So all in all - pretty good at recovering the old Moishe's experience. The setting was very nice, the food was 85% as good as the old place & the staff did a nice job.

Rib Steak was a little fatty - other than that everything was very good

Excellent resto. Tartare de boeuf en entrée était parfait. Le contre-filet new york était aussi bien réussi. Nous avons été aussi surpris des short rib de boeuf qui étaient incroyable. Le service au table était A+. Une très belle soirée

Second time at the new Moishes. It was just lovely. My steak (rib steak) was excellent. Great improvement since my first visit in early August.

Excellente serveuse. Rib-eye malheureusement beaucoup trop cuit.

This is our first visit since your reopening. We found the service to be outstanding & the atmosphere very pleasant. My wife enjoyed the chicken but remembers the old version cut into small crisp pieces. That was excellent. The rib steak was a bit chewy but very tasty. Overall, it was a lovely evening.

A+++....After a long slumber, Moishes has reemerged & is once again the best steakhouse in Montreal. While some of the charm of The Main may be gone, the sleek & luxurious new room is like something out of Manhattan or London. The dry-aged rib steak was "melt in your mouth" good. The been tartare with quail eggs was a welcome surprise. The prices are also "not bad" (& certainly cheaper than Jacobs) for the quality of the beef on your plate. To their credit, there any many reasonably priced plats principals for those who are not carnivores. This is a very welcome addition to the Montreal restaurant scene & I salute the entrepreneurs who are bold enough to make this happen!
One of the best steakhouses & fish restaurants in the world! The bronzino fish was cooked perfectly with amazingly crispy skin & the ribeye was fantastic also! Legos & playdoh are given to kids which is a great idea to keep them busy. I highly recommend it! 👌

We were waiting a long time for Moishe's to reopen, we weren't expected a true replacement but at least some of the foods that made Moishe's a place to go in my case for about 55 years. Place looks great , we sat on the side the chairs beautiful but very heavy & not designed to eat. we had to lean forward to much, service & management high marks, To start Pickles Very Good, coleslaw really needs improvement, not Moishe's too chopped up, bread missed the mark Challah why? but the rib was amazing! need to get the good stuff like the black bread etc. spoke to Manager about the old favorite's, Latke's, Verenikas , Onion rings, Whole grilled red peppers, The dessert cart. But what I really miss are the sweet breads on the mixed grill. He said they are working on it, so we will definitely go back. Remember when you would park for free in the back lot, now get ready to pay $35.00 for Valet, with tip $40 wow! that bites.

2 out of 3 steaks were overcooked. Considering one of them was a dry-aged rib steak, paying a premium for something that you did not receive was disappointing, especially since this is a specialty steakhouse!
Our waitress was really nice & kind, however we had to flag her down often & pour our own wine. Dinner last longer than it should have if we had a little more attentive service.
Overall, it was a pleasant evening & dinner experience.

Le rib steak était excellent cuit à la perfection & très tendre

Excellent dining experience combining old & new. Entrance & dining room are modern but still include Moishes Mile End history through murals & artifacts. Food & service were excellent. Loved the eggplant salad with pomegranates & tasty short rib. Looking forward to my next family meal at Moishes.

Had a rib steak, amazing, my wife had the short rib with polenta, melted in your mouth
Great food, great service, great ambience, definitely going back
Glad that it reopened again
