I've been coming here with my husband ever since we first started dating for our most special occasions. Probably have been there over 6-10 times in the last 2 years. We loved it so much but we were there yesterday for Valentine's Day & the food was not that great... Gabrielle was our waitress & was super sweet but the food honestly wasn't great, they didn't have their brioche, she said they're selling'focaccia' which was not focaccia at all, they didn't have their broccolini, their avocado appetizer is not as good as it used to be... giving it a 3 overall.

Came here for Valentines day with my partner & we were absolutely blown away by the perfect romantic atmosphere, the food was absolutely amazing. The hanger steak was one of the best steaks Ive ever had. Our waitress Dana was extremely attentive & made us feel very welcome :)
Everything was perfection. From the service to the food to the overall ambiance- this restaurant was definitely a core memory in our trip to Montreal! I will be coming back :)
We were visiting from out of the province. Highly recommend. Our lovely server Vanora took great care of us. The restaurant has a nice ambience at night, however the food was the highlight. We had oysters, burrata, steak tartare & their famous beef broth pasta - absolutely recommend. High quality food, drinks & service. Must check this one out if you're in Montreal.
seems a bit expensive for what it is, maybe cuz of the location. service was super friendly & nice :) for food, burrata was probs my fave with the leeks & bacon but i just love cheese. the tuna crudo was p interesting & rly good too!! just hurts that its like $29 for 5 pieces loool. avocado carpaccio was interesting too but flavours felt too familiar/simple to me (avo, sesame, chili crisp). brussel sprouts sides was mushy not crispy which im ok w but ik some ppl dont like. rotelle bone marrow pasta was definitely tasty but felt soo heavy by itself ha. short ribs came with kimchi & fries. i loved the fries lmao they remind me of five guys fries but the ribs themselves were just alright
Excellent restaurant with a nice variety of choices for your dishes. The service was excellent; our waitress Dana was very attentive of my allergies & provided us with a great experience. The pieces to share are worth the price tag. An expensive restaurant but worth it to treat yourself!
The food had very interesting texture. It was delicious. The atmosphere & service were lovely. A little too dark for my personal liking but the ambience was there. We went for my birthday & they treated me so special. Will highly recommend!

J'y suis allée l'été dernier pour une première fois. Bonne ambiance, les plats sont bons mais vraiment trop chers dans l'ensemble. La serveuse peu souriante. Je crois que mes attentes étaient trop élevées pour ce que je pensais, à comparer à d'autres endroits.
Excellent service de l'accueil jusqu'à la fin. Super décor avec beaucoup de fenêtres. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le filet mignon & la salade. Le restaurant est légèrement bruyant, mais nous avons tout de même adoré notre expérience & avons hâte d'y retourner!
Nous aimons beaucoup ce restaurant mais sommes passés uniquement pour un cocktail cette fois-ci en fin d'après-midi.
Nous souhaitons adresser une mention spéciale à notre barman Jean qui nous a fourni un excellent service & de merveilleuses recommandations de cocktails. Parce que nous sommes des amateurs de la liqueur Chartreuse, Jean nous a fait découvrir de nouvelles recettes personnelles qui étaient simplement délicieuses! Il a pris de son précieux temps pour discuter mixologie, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. Mention spéciale à la serveuse qui travaillait avec Jean derrière le bar, Sara-Ève.
La prochaine fois ça sera pour un bon souper!

The meats were cooked to perfection so they were worth the wait. The dim lighting gives the place a very cozy atmosphere. The staff was very nice we were even offered shots:)
We went there in november. The plave is great overall. Nice romantic & cozy. Food is absolutely delicious. But...they have a vege section in their menu & as a vegetarian it was a great surprise. I took the burrata, saying to the waitress that i am indeed a vegetarian. Order arrived & we start eating...discovering that there was lardons in the meal. It was not indicated in the ingredients otherway i would have not taken that dish. Understand who will but it was a true disapointment & hard to not be mad about it as i specifically told i was vegetarian. That's the reason for the 3 stars.

Fantastico, delicious & the most wonderful staff. Venora is their ACE!!! Attentive team members make JF a wonderful experience. We loved having very personal conversations with the team. From travelling & surfing in Nicaragua, to expecting a new born. The food experience was epic & will definitely make it must destination for years to come.
