There was also very limited seating. The majority of the seating was at ground level outside. But it was worth the trek because the matcha crossant roll was SO GOOD. It was stuffed & had such a strong matcha flavour. The chocolate & pistachio flavours were both way too sweet. For $11 something a piece, I would only recommend the matcha roll.
Matcha crossaint roll is a must!!! Very strong matcha flavour without being too sweet or too bitter. Lots of cream & matched perfectly with the crunch of the croissant. Definitely will get one every time I visit!
The pistachio one was too sweet & thick. The chocolate one was just Nutella on the inside & thus too sweet. For $11 each, it is a good treat since they are quite big.
Best cozy cafe in old Montreal. Must try their hot chocolate with homemade marshmallow & they have best pistachio croissant.
Such a great all around space & vibe. The pastries are big & baked to a wonderful texture with a slightly crisp outer layer & very fluffy interior. All made right there behind the counter. Also recommend the matcha hot chocolate. Very matcha forward & delightful, to not mention a beautiful color.
their famous round stuffed croissants did not disappoint! We opted for the crème brûlée croissant, & let me tell you, it was incredibly filling-so much so that we're not sure it's meant for a single person to tackle in one sitting! The combination of the flaky pastry & the rich, creamy filling was a match made in heaven. In addition to the croissants, we couldn't resist trying their hot chocolate, & we loved the variety of flavors available. We chose the Matcha hot chocolate, but there are also options like ube & pumpkin spice, each topped with a giant roasted marshmallow that adds a fun & delicious twist. It was chocolate was rich & comforting, making it the perfect companion to our croissant. We're already planning our return trip to try their other croissant flavors. If you're in the area, this bakery is definitely worth a visit for a truly indulgent treat!
Possibly the worst chocolatine I've ever had. It was bread with a stick of chocolate inside. Luckily the bread is decent & the location is cool.
This café is truly a fantastic spot! Their variety of croissants are all delicious-crispy & perfectly baked, with the chocolate ones being just the right amount of sweet. While enjoying your food outdoors, you can also see some adorable little birds playing nearby. It's especially recommended for parents with children; the interaction between kids & the birds creates a warm & joyful atmosphere.
I particularly enjoy their croissants, especially the chocolate ones. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some fresh pastries & coffee.
Huge & absolutely delicious pain au chocolat - flaky pastry & moist chocolate. Nice seats with good view under umbrellas.
Wonderful chocolate croissants! Take note though the circle croissants they told us are not available till 10am so we missed getting those. Limited seating mostly outdoor. Everything was freshly baked!
You will have a ratatouille experience where time will stop & tears will stream down your face. The croissants here are amazing! Highly recommend the hangover cure & the almond chocolate. I wish they sold hats.
I visited the bakery with high hopes, eagerly anticipating the much-talked-about pistachio croissant. The croissant itself was well-made, with a satisfying texture. However, I found the flavor somewhat disappointing. Instead of a strong pistachio presence, it predominantly tasted like white chocolate, with only a subtle hint of pistachio.Cost me 14$ total with tip.
We tried the round croissant ( one chocolate, one pistachio & one tropical) The pistachio was extremely sweet but the other two were delicious. Something you should keep in mind is that the site is on a baseman in case you have difficulties with the stairs.
Best croissants I've ever had!! The chocolate & pistachio round croissants were heavenly. The employees were very welcoming & the vibes were great.
I came here to grab some last-minute snacks. They had a flavor of San Pellegrino that I never had before. Too bad they ran out of the other pastries already, must've been really good, but I got chocolate croissants & pizza. The staff were really friendly & warm to me as a tourist, & they helped me pick a bottle of wine to go. Would visit again just for their customer service.
The pistachio roll is to die for! I am usually not a sweet tooth. I also had the ube (purple potato) hot chocolate, it was pretty decent.
