Came here a few days ago with my girlfriend, & we ordered the Hawaiian knuckle that was essentially a panzerotti. It was really good & we were able to split it between the two of us.
We also got a nice selection of bottled wine, which was really nice, it was the first time I've ever got an entire bottle of wine at a restaurant before so it was a treat.
We ended up getting the salad that had everything bagel seeds on top with some awesome mixture salad dressing that was just a complete home run
We also got the steak fries with a side of french fries that tasted amazing
The atmosphere was really cool. The staff was extremely friendly & absolutely helpful when we had questions.
The restaurant was clean & with the winter snowy night it just made everything even better. It was like the scene out of a movie, I really enjoyed myself here & will definitely come back again. Definitely recommended that you bring your friends & family out.
Also, the prices are very formidable no complaints & they are good portions for the price you pay.
You must check out this restaurant if your in Montreal! It's fantastic! We ordered the Kale Salad, Bic Mac Tartare, which were delicious, but star dish went to the Spinach gnocchi, it was unreal...probably one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had! The service was ok, the staff only spoke to us in French which was a bit annoying.... but the owner passed by & was super nice & explained the dishes & spoke in English, French & Italian. Great great place to eat some delicious food with a nice vibe cute & cozy!
My husband & I chanced upon Knuckles as we were looking for a quick lunch after a work meeting we had in the area. The innovative menu sounded so intriguing, we had to give it a go. We ended staying for a much longer time than we expected because we were so incredibly WOWED by our experience. I say experience because the owner Matthew introduced & gave us amazing stories behind every dish we ordered & helped us select a delightful glass of wine to pair. The food was amazing, & he made our afternoon such a pleasurable & unforgettable one. The kale salad was outstanding & so delicious I wished we had seconds. The green gnocchi made with spinach (not potatoes) was delicious & so soft it felt like it melted in our mouths. The orange wine from Baden, Germany was light & tart with just the right amount of fruitiness. Perfect for the meal. I really wanted to try their carbonara but I think that was only available in the evening. What a pleasure to bump into this gem of a restaurant. If you like a restauranteur that plays & innovates with flavours, while still keeping the dish simple & casual, this place is for you.

Notre serveur, Cédric, s'est montré d'un grand professionnalisme, guidant notre choix de vins avec expertise & attention. La carte des vins est riche, & les suggestions étaient parfaitement adaptées aux plats que nous avions choisis. Ce qui rend ce restaurant unique, c'est son engagement envers les produits locaux : tous les ingrédients proviennent du Québec, ce qui met en avant le terroir local de manière authentique. Le menu propose une diversité de plats qui saura plaire à tous les goûts, avec une qualité indéniable dans chaque assiette. Un des incontournables est la salade Caprese, un plat alliant fraîcheur & saveurs, parfaitement exécuté & particulièrement rafraîchissant. Chaque bouchée reflète une attention aux détails qui rehausse l'expérience culinaire. Delicious meal in a charming neighbourhood in Montreal. We loved the vibe & ambiance of the restaurant. We sat at the bar & our server was very friendly & talked us through the menu & dishes. We ordered a number of dishes including: the Memphis barbecorn, carbonara, pizza pockets, fried fish with Big Mac hollandaise, tomato & mozzarella salad, fish eclair, & chocolate mousse. We loved how fun & flavourful all the dishes, with a refined spin on some classics like the filet-o-fish. The fish dish & pizza pockets were definitely the highlights of our meal. The Memphis barbecorn was super flavourful as well; we loved all the corn components but found the pork belly a bit too fatty (even for pork belly). The pasta in the carbonara was cooked perfectly al dente & the flavour was excellent. The unique wines were also a highly & I loved the red wine our serve had recommended. Overall a great dining experience!

Découverte de cet excellent resto dans Villeray ce midi! Pizza pocket, salade de kale & guédille de crevettes sur baguette! Tout était délicieux! Envie d'y retourner pour le menu du soir! Superbe décor & service vraiment accueillant!
Super soirée dans ce resto de quartier : nourriture exceptionnelle, gros coup de coeur pour le tartare d'agneau & sa petite sauce à la menthe & pour la salade de Kale avec sa micro julienne de pomme de terre. On nous a aussi conseillé des vins qu'on n'avait jamais bu ailleurs, des accords vraiment heureux avec nos plats. On y retournera.
This was one of the most incredible restaurants I've ever been to. Wine? Incredible. Food? Incredible. Vibes? Incredible. Everything is so delicious & fresh & yummy. Their signature knuckles calzones were phenomenal. Then we got the kale salad which was the freshest thing I've ever had. We finished it off with carbonara (with pasta made fresh from directly across the street) & Wagyu beef stuffed onions. Just all around incredible & I'll never stop raving about this restaurant. Can't wait to come back to Montreal for this & try other times on the menu.
Pleurotes au buffalo: frieds oyster mushrooms that had a mildly crispy & chewy texture, the buffalo powder was generous & had a pretty intense & salty flavor. The bluecheese dip was not stinky at all & was almost able to balance out the buffalo. Tartaréclaire: the eclair itself was soft, not chewy or soggy from the toppings. the raw fish used was very tender & not stinky at all, it was delicious. Each element of the dish enhanced the unit as a whole. The caviar provided a smokey & salty touch, the thin croutons added crispy texture & the creamh goat cheese & dill was just perfect. Loved it. Knuckles: basically a fancy pizza pocket that had a very nice dough to filling ratio. The dough itself was essentially soft but had a mild crunch on the outside since it was fried. One thing that I would have preferred is to have pepperoni in the filling. To me, it was the missing element that could've made the dish more special. Carbonara: straight forward, ordinary dish, but they used peccorino instead of pancetta or bacon. I'd say it was almost perfect, but personally I prefer my pasta more cooked than al dente. Porchetta: slices of raw pork that were not stinky served with marinated ingredients & a salty green mayo. It was very good & honestly taste excactlt like a all dressed vietnamese banh mi, but without bread. Kale salad: this salad was a good surprise. Although it may seem simple, the blend of textures (crunchy but soft kale, crunchy potato shavings) with a simple but good dressing made it super good. It may look underwhelming but do not underestimate it. We were lucky enough to get a table for 2 last-minute by just showing up at the restaurant but I highly recommend to come here & try their small menu, of course after making a reservation. It's pretty pricey (170$/2 people/6 dishes) but I don't really have anything bad to say about the food.
Accueil chaleureux, cocktail fade au goût & en présentation. Un excellent tartare d'ombre. Tatare de boeuf insipide & avec texture désagréable. Pleurotes bons. Salade correcte. Tarif démesuré quand un plat & un cocktail ne sont pas du tout satisfaisants. Ambiance agréable.
DELICIOUS! Super fresh high quality ingredients treat with respect. Every product shines in each dish. The knuckles are super yummy & not too greasy- they are oddly light. My mom calls their salad her "happy" course- it is really delicious. All of the pasta is made in front of your eyes I am always amazed & how they create magic in such a small space. The staff are kind & knowledgeable!
