4/5 j'adore vraiment leurs calamars ils sont excellent j'y vais vraiment que pour ça d'ailleurs, car je les aimes vraiment trop, mais je pense que vous devriez améliorer votre menue il est compliqué à comprendre il y a trop d'informations de combo différent on arrive pas à comprendre le menue de base c'est pour ça que je donnerais pas 5 étoiles . Si non les serveurs sont très gentils & la nourriture est très bonne.

We went with our family & had a great experience. The food was delicious, & the portions were generous. We especially loved the TALLARÍN A LA HUANCAÍNA
CON LOMO FINO AL JUGO. Everything we tried was very tasty. In the photo is the causa limena, which was absolutely delicious!

The atmosphere is pleasant, the service was excellent, & the staff was very attentive. Overall, a great experience. We would definitely recommend it!

We had Caldo de mote & fish ceviche. Both were delicious & a good size portion. The ceviche's acidity & spiciness was on point. The caldo, was a nice discovery. Very filling, comforting & subtle flavors. Large variety of food in the menu. Great place for larger groups, or celebration. Will definitely go back.

It was great place to eat ceviche, it reminds us of great food that we missed form back home. We had not found a place we're we could & this food that was authentic.

C'est bon- rien qu'on ne peut trouver ailleurs sur le même tronçon de rue, mais quand même bon. Par contre, il m'est arrivé avec eux un truc curieux: je me suis pointé avec un certain montant de certificats SolYMar, vendus par eux. Le montant de la bouffe n'atteignait pas le montant des certificats, par quelques dollars. Sauf qu'ils n'offrent pas de contrepartie (certificat de valeur équivalente au montant restant) comme le prévoit la loi québécoise. Nada! Ils empochent la différence, pourtant bien payée par la personne qui a acheté le certificat, sans dire un mot! Allez hop, passez muscade!
J'ai demandé gentiment au serveur s'il savait que c'était illégal de faire ça &, avec un beau grand sourire plein de dents, il m'a dit que oui mais que c'était comme ça.
Bon, c'est pas trop grave & de toute façon j'ai pas le temps de niaiser avec ça, mais ça donne quand même le ton de l'endroit. C'est un peu comme ces dépanneurs qui ne rendent pas la monnaie exacte en espérant que les clients n'en feront pas un cas…

…& c'est comme ça que je me suis fait détrousser aujourd'hui! Live & learn!

If you're looking for authentic Peruvian cuisine in Montreal, Solymar Restaurant is well worth the visit.

The causas are a must-try. My favorites were the Octopus Causa with an olive sauce & the Causa Acevichada, . If it's your first visit, order the three-causa sampler, it's the perfect way to discover this classic Peruvian dish.

The ceviches are also outstanding. The salmon ceviche was incredibly fresh & paired perfectly with an imported Peruvian beer.

Located in the heart of La Alameda Peruana (Montreal's'Little Peru'), this restaurant is just one block from the busy Saint-Hubert shopping district & metro station, making it easy to find street parking before continuing toward the Jean-Talon Market area.

From the outside, the restaurant is fairly modest, but don't let that fool you. Inside you'll find a surprisingly spacious dining room, an impressive wine selection, & an extensive Peruvian menu with enough variety to keep you coming back to try something new.

A fantastic spot for anyone wanting an authentic taste of Peru in Montreal. Highly recommended!
