This particular store reminds us of the reasons why we fell in love with Haidilao in China, before they came to the States & tarnished the name with poor, slow service. The Montreal franchise really lives up to the original intentions of the founders with high quality food & service. Jess is, hands down, the best server we've had in years, attentive & consistent even after we paid early in a rush to get to another event. As a tourist, I didn't think our favorite restaurant in Montreal would be at a chain we've frequented all over the world, but we're definitely coming back whenever we visit Montreal!
I came here for my friend's birthday because I was told it was a great place to celebrate birthdays. I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly & helpful, especially Michelle. To start, we had to choose the broth for our hotpot. I liked the fact that there were many options for vegetarians, for people who don't eat spicy or for people who don't eat pork. They have a huge selection of meat & mushrooms or tofu. The quality was amazing. The noodle dance was very impressive. I also loved that I didn't come out smelling like hotpot, which is amazing!

The quality of the foods is great, the service & atmosphere are truly impeccable. They are very detail oriented in terms of customer experience. We enjoy every visit & highly recommend making a reservation ahead.
This chain is famous for two things in china: service & long waiting times -- especially the second, I think it is part of their strategy to maximize the number of customers. In some sense, even if you have reservations, they will make you wait for a bit. This aspect is really disgusting. The quality of food varies, sometimes good, sometimes not so good.
I had great experience eating at Haidilao. Food quality is great & very delicious. There are a lot of choice on the menu. The staff is extremely helpful & friendly. Price is also very reasonable. I would definitely go back there whenever I want to have hot pot.
Fondue Haidilao is a hot pot restaurant that is completely unrivaled! As soon as you walk into the building, the waiters will warmly welcome you & offer their services. The room is very clean & organized. In addition, the restaurant uses quality ingredients for their hot pot & provides a huge sauce bar with side dishes. They even clean up your table as you are eating! Also, they will sing a song & offer you a gift if it is your birthday. We were highly impressed by both the food & the service. We will definitely come back to Fondue Haidilao.
We recently visited Fondue Haidilao in Montreal during our trip from Boston, & we were absolutely delighted. Having tried Haidilao in Shanghai, we were thrilled to find the same high-quality experience here, especially since Boston doesn't have a Haidilao. The food quality was exceptional, with a wide variety of options including beef, lamb, & their famous noodles. Watching a person make noodles in front of us, using them to dance, was an amazing & entertaining experience. Special thanks & high compliments to our server, Yeung. He is one of the best servers our family has ever met. Yeung was incredibly friendly, cheerful, patient, & caring. He provided aprons for everyone, & even gave hair bands to my wife & daughter who have long hair. Knowing we were travelers, he gave us a map & recommended some tourist spots. Yeung was always responsive & prioritized customer service. For example, when my child was trying to get something on the table, Yung took another route to deliver food so as not to disturb him. We observed him serving other customers with the same high energy & passion. He was attentive, constantly refilling our water & broth without us having to ask. The super high-quality service we received at Fondue Haidilao made our visit truly memorable. We will definitely come back again!
It is quite impressive for their passionate service from the very first reception to the end doggy bag packing. Good quality meat & fresh seafood plus variety of tasty hot pot soup base. There is a great "noodle stretching show" coming with the dish order "stretching noodle". Highly recommended for this dish. It is very enjoyable so dont miss or skip it. Left a GOOD tip & will be back again!
We love the franchise from Asia, so we decided to give it a chance here. We highly recommend reserving your table in advance since the wait time can be 1-2 hours, which is normal & similar to Asia. The service is good, with very professional & fast staff. While the food is on the expensive side, we understand it can't be compared to Asia, but the portion sizes were a bit small for the price point. The quality of the food is good, but it seems to be frozen rather than fresh. It's important to note that this is not an all-you-can-eat hot pot, so you have to order the broth & your dishes separately, & they also charge for the sauce station. Despite this, the noodles dance was a fun experience.
While the atmosphere is really nice, it felt a bit cramped which may be normal considering how popular & crowded it is. I have to put a 4* for the food due to the price to food ratio. While i had no complaints about the food, the fact that you pay for what you eat (not all you can eat), i would expect the quality to be above a AYCE hotpot. I did not really notice any difference between the meat here & at another AYCE hotpot. Having the option to split the hotpot in 4 different broths is really nice. Another thing is that it can be hard to gauge what is the quantity we get for the food selected. I spent around 80$ to be decently full. No complaints about the service, it was impeccable.

Good quality, service very good but can be a bit overbearing because it's too attentive, if you get what I mean. Meat quality is generally excellent. Menu could have more options in terms of hotpot items. We don't like the sesame dipping sauce; it's more like peanut dipping sauce & lacks the correct flavor. They have a 12 percent discount for finishing in 90 minutes & 20 percent for 60. Eat fast & request the bill in advance if you want the biggest discount as they can take some time to bring the bill, which can put you over. Overall, a well thought out & quality dining experience. A bit expensive for what it is but you're paying for the experience & location. Do note they charge for everything: sauce, 2x for Split broth, etc. That's why this is a 4 onstead of 5 star review. We go regularly.
The food quality was great! Try any of their beef.. you will not be disappointed. The soup bases were all so delicious! It was my first hot pot experience in a restaurant & Gabe our server made it such a memorable & positive experience. He was so helpful with suggestions & so warm, approachable & attentive! I will 110% be coming back to Haidilao & asking to be seated in Gabe's section.
Food very good quality & tasty, the best hotpot place I tried yet. Nice set up for table with storing space under seat & a kind of movable shelves to put food standing by to cook. Good decorations & atmosphere. Service could be better. Beg waiter multiple time to clean the table (just remove dirty plate & dirty paper) & still don't do it. Give the birthday dessert to my kid in the middle of a pile of trash.

This place is amazing. I went there with my friends & our waitress Chloé was truly amazing. She was very fun & professional. We had a great time. The food is very good too. It's not an " all you can eat" but the prices are very reasonable compared to the quality & the portions We ordered many servings & had 3 soup bases. We spent around 40$ per person in total, taxes & tip included - now that price may vary depending on what you order. My personal favorite was the tomato soup base. In my opinion, they have the best out of the ones that I've tried. We also ordered the flying noodles & it's a must if you go there! It's definitely worth it. We will definitely be coming back :) Cet endroit est incroyable. J'y suis allé avec mes amis & notre serveuse Chloé était vraiment incroyable. Elle était très amusante & professionnelle. Nous avons passé un bon moment. La nourriture est très bonne aussi. Ce n'est pas un "à volonté" mais les prix sont très raisonnables par rapport à la qualité & aux portions. Nous avons commandé de nombreuses portions & avions 3 bases de soupe. Nous avons dépensé environ 40 $ par personne au total, taxes & pourboire inclus - ce prix peut maintenant varier en fonction de ce que vous commandez. Ma soupe préférée était la base de soupe aux tomates. À mon avis, ils ont la meilleure de celles que j'ai essayés. Nous avons également commandé les nouilles volantes & c'est un incontournable si vous y allez ! Elles en valent vraiment la peine. Nous reviendrons certainement :)
Super nice service, worth its name! The food quality is excellent! It is a bit expensive but really worth to try! They have magic shows, snacks for you when you are waiting & also most importantly amazing service!
haidilao is definitely worth the hype!! althought wait times are long (waited ~1h even with waitlist in advance) & reservation tricky, its worth it! they try their best to keep u comfortable while u wait. they have seats at the front to wait. they also serve water, sometimes milktea & unlimited snacks & candy. the workers even offered us to go look at the mask performance even thought we werent seated yet. service is amazing. everyone is kind & enthusiastic. & u feel constantly entertained by the performances! our waiter gabe was especially attentive, helpful & nice! they offer you aprons, hair ties, gloves, eyeglass wipes, etc. the food is great & of quality. they have a good selection! they also have bundle/assorted options if ur not sure which mushrooms or fish balls u want. so u get a little of everything! which i thought was helpful for indecisive ppl or ppl who want to try a little of everything!! the restaurant is extremely clean! u can place ur jackets conveniently inside the benches u sit on. toilets are also super clean!! only downside would be that the restaurant isnt all u can eat, so that may be a problem for some.
Today's dining experience was exceptional - the tomato soup was both delicious & refreshing. The quality of the fresh meat was outstanding, & the attentive service from Chloe truly enhanced our enjoyment. A big thank you to Chloe for taking care of us so well. We look forward to returning soon.
