First class Creperie, with salty & sweet Crepes, plenty of other options. Good prices, my crepe was worth every penny. They accommodated my take out request well. Great service, & not just a tourist attraction.
Both the sweet & savoury crepes were really really good (western vegetarian & cheesecake options). We also got the cheese fondue but the assortment of bread to dip in it could've been better - one type that was served tasted particularly stale. We also felt a bit rushed to order by the waiter who checked on us every 30 seconds or so to see if we're ready to order - but otherwise it was pleasant
Chez Suzette, nestled in the heart of Montreal's Old Port, is a delightful culinary haven offering a delectable array of sweet & savory treats. Their menu boasts an enticing selection of creamy delights, from salty & sweet crèpes to indulgent cheese & chocolate fondues. The ambiance exudes warmth & charm, making it the perfect spot to cozy up with a bowl of rich onion soup on a chilly day. With its frnch style menu & inviting atmosphere, Chez Suzette is a must-visit destination for anyone craving a taste of culinary bliss in Montreal.
Sweet mulit level Resturant. The floors upstairs were a bit sloped which slanted the tables & chairs but it was all part of the charm. Our Server was Friendly & helpful.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff, who provided impeccable customer service throughout our meal. Their attentiveness & genuine enthusiasm added to the overall enjoyment of our visit. Now, let's talk about the food - simply exquisite! The crepes, in particular, were a highlight of the menu. Each bite was a delightful blend of flavors & textures, leaving us craving more. From savory to sweet, every crepe was masterfully crafted & bursting with delicious fillings. Overall, it's a dining destination worth visiting time & time again. We left feeling satisfied & already looking forward to our next visit.
We visited twice in our stay in Montreal. The coffee "smoothie" or milkshake was what made us return there. She service was perfect on our first visit he vas very sweet & funny we ordered crepes & coffee. second time we were told we couldn't just order coffee & I ordered their french onion soup. Was good, but this time they charged the tip without asking us. In every single place we had the option to choose anywhere from 15-18-20-22 but not once was done for us. We thought that was a bit strange.
Visiting the Crêpe Fondue specialty restaurant in Montreal was a fantastic experience during my travels. The ambiance of the place was a delightful blend of coziness & modern charm, offering a unique taste of Canadian flair. The texture of the crêpes was exceptionally noteworthy - perfectly crispy on the outside while meltingly soft inside. The variety on the menu was also impressive. From sweet to savory crêpes, the wide range of options made it a delightful dilemma to choose just one. The chocolate & banana crêpe I finally settled on was a sublime choice. The sweetness of the chocolate harmoniously blended with the freshness of the banana, creating a joyously flavorful experience in every bite. The service was outstanding as well. The staff were friendly & efficient, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. This visit will certainly be remembered as one of the highlights of my Montreal trip. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves crêpes.
Came here shortly after opening on a Saturday. The host & server was very friendly. I ordered the "Sugar Shack Special" - despite the name it is a more savoury option with scrambled eggs & bacon or or ham. I now wish I had ordered a more sweet crepe option -despite the presence of bacon inside, it lacked some flavour. The menu indicates it was supposed to be served with Maple syrup but this never came. My wife got the "Quebecoise" - crepe with ham w mushroom , & seemed to enjoy it more than I did mine. $5.25 for cup of regular coffee was a bit pricey for what it was (just regular coffee - not in a french press or anthing). I guess that goes with the territory of this place being in Old Montreal.
If I was an endless pit I would have liked to have ordered every items on the menu!
We came with 3 adults, 3 children (ages 5, 7, 9) & one infant around 2:30pm. The bottom floor was all taken so we were guided to the 2nd floor where there was much more room to walk between tables & more suitable for young children.
There was room to store the stroller on the main floor behind a smaller room behind doors which helped. If we wanted to bring the stroller up to the 2nd floor I am sure that would have been accommodated.
Staff are jovial, amusing, competent & considerate. Our servers was great with children. That counts for a lot.
The crepes themselves are soft, pliable, fluffier, moist & eggy without the eggy taste. Some places make the crepe too dry & thin for my liking.
La Charlevoix crepe stuffed with just the right amount of ham, brie, spinach & bechamel sauce came with 2 crepes that could be shared. The brie shines through.
The Vida Loca cold milkshake with dark chocolate, milk, Baileys & whipped cream was reminisce of an egg nog without the egg nog taste. Not too sweet at all & easy to drink. Whipped cream is not a mountain on top but more whipped into the drink before serving.
It is great to be able to order crepes specifically for kids in a portion that they could consume. The Quebecoise fit the bill & they were even given a large dispenser of maple syrup to go with it.
We just couldn't stop here so for novelty we also ordered the Chocolate fondue for 2 persons which excellently fulfilled everyone's sweet needs to dip something in chocolate. It was the perfect amount for the 6 of us to have just enough to satiate us after an already large meal.
