Reviews paint Crêperie Chez Suzette as a cozy Old Montreal staple with a wide range of crepes, both savory and sweet, and generous portions that many diners find comforting and satisfying. The service is commonly described as fast, friendly, and attentive, though a few visits mention moments of busyness or slower pacing. Fondue is a frequent highlight, especially the cheese fondue, with accompanying accoutrements earning high praise, while some notes mention portions and balance with the mains could be improved. Crepes are lauded for rich fillings and delicate skins, with favorites ranging from smoked salmon to shrimp and desserts like crepe Suzette, though a minority finds some savory options bland or the pricing a bit high. Gluten free options are available and appreciated by diners with gluten sensitivities, though cross contamination concerns are mentioned in a few experiences. The atmosphere and location are described as charming and tourist friendly, with window seating and a European vibe, while some rooms feel less decorated. Overall, the reviews suggest Crêperie Chez Suzette is a dependable choice for crepes in Montreal, inviting return visits to try more items.
Can only base this review on one item - their crepe Suzette. Was quite disappointed with this item. The crepes were soft & wet being drenched in a ton of sauce. & it wasn't flambayed as one would expect. Just felt like this was thrown together without care. Would not recommend this.

I know it seems strange to give 5 stars on everything but 4 overall. I will explain later as I don't want to take from this gem.
Service from the moment we walked in until we left was very friendly & attentive. Offered suggestions, remembered sans gluten, kept water filled.
We started with escargot. It was nicely done in garlic butter.
We ordered crepes & a bagel. It was going to a sandwich but when asked if it was good, the waiter replied second best one. Asked what was first & he pointed to the bagel. Obviously we had to get the best.
They remembered gluten free. The sans gluten crepe was spongy, easy to cut, & delicious.
We thought about fondue but decided we were full. However we ordered banana Nutella crepe. It came with a Nutella rolled crepe in center, strawberries in one side, bananas in the other. It was topped with two big mounds of whipped cream on each end & a scoop of ice-cream in the middle. We split it three ways which was perfect.
Atmosphere was relaxing. It was not packed full of tables to allow for quiet conversations & easy maneuverability.
So why stars? The glasses of water were our concern. Two had lipstick residue. We know lipstick is challenging to get off but still didn't feel right having'dirty' glasses.
Sorry I did not have my phone so no pictures. Definitely a good choice of eateries!
Best place in old montreal to get crepes. Dont mess around with the other places. Im sad that we old tried it on the last day of our trip. I would have like to try their fondue.
Really enjoyed the cheese & beef fondue! The staff is very helpful, friendly & overall amazing service. Crepes were also very delicious too! You have to check out this place if you are in the area!

Totally what we were after for a crêpes breakfast in Vieux Montréal on this cold sunny winter morning in February. Antoine was friendly & attentive & our coffees were always full. My crêpes loaded with crevettes was so fresh & rich. Not shy on shrimp or fromage! Also shared a classic Quebecois with my husband & the petit salad balanced the creaminess perfectly. We'll have to come back for some crêpes sucrées! I also love that they can make the crêpes sans-gluten so our daughter can come next time we visit. Merci beaucoup!
You must try onion soup - it was so amazing✨
It was topped with grilled cheese, & there was delicious onion soup under it
We also ordered the smoked salmon crepe & the shrimp crepe
Both were delicious, but I preferred the shrimp one🦐
Unfortunately, this was the worst experience we had during our one-week trip to Montreal.
We ordered crêpes & coffee. The filter coffee was served ice cold; when we mentioned it, they replaced it. However, the crêpes were clearly prepared hours earlier & arrived completely cold as well. For a place that literally calls itself a crêperie, this was honestly shocking - four pieces of cold crêpes on a plate.
When we asked for the bill, we waited over 20 minutes with no one coming to our table, despite trying to get attention. In the end, we had to go to the counter ourselves to pay.
We paid in cash &, due to the poor service & food quality, we did not want to leave a tip. However, a tip was taken from the cash without asking us. When we explained that we did not wish to tip & shared that our experience had been very bad, the situation escalated.
The waiter became rude & defensive, blaming us & saying that we should have complained more. We had already mentioned the cold coffee during service, & when the crêpes arrived cold, we chose not to make a bigger issue to avoid wasting food.
The most unacceptable part was when the waiter mocked my mother's English & spoke to her in a very disrespectful manner, essentially telling her to leave because her English was not good. This behavior was shocking, humiliating, & completely unprofessional.
I am still shocked by how we were treated. In an entire week in Montreal, we did not experience anything even remotely close to this level of rudeness & disrespect.
I would not recommend this place - not for the food, not for the service, & certainly not for how customers are treated.
Very well situated, we had an event in the old port, & this seemed like a good choice. The waiter was charming, very nice. The atmosphere is ordinary, but that's ok, I was there for lunch so I wasn't looking for something fancy. The crepes themselves were disappointing, very disappointing, they were bland. My husband ordered the Charlevoix, the spinach was raw, the crepe was sweet. I had the Laurentian, my kids also chose different crepes, they all tasted the same. The dessert crepes were pretty good, but not the lunch ones.
