My husband & I came here two nights in a row on a recent weekend trip to Montreal. The food is delicious (especially the saffron cake!) & everyone who works here is so kind & welcoming. I definitely plan to come back the next time I'm in town.
What a wonderful place. The staff are wonderful & the tea & cake was delicious!
Extremely warm welcome. Great service. First time trying Persian food & it was so good. Must try coconut cake, the tea & the persian latte. The gheyme was good too. But my favorite was the tea with cake. Much love to the amazing owners for the great experience❤?❤?
I recently visited Parfums de Perse with my Québécois friend, who has been learning Persian & was excited to practice with the staff. When he spoke Persian, the waitress was very impressed & kind to him, which was nice to see. However, what followed left me quite uncomfortable. In Persian, she jokingly told me,'Bravo for teaching him Persian, I hope we can destroy their language.' She repeated it twice, & even the cashier later made a similar comment. I was genuinely surprised-why would we talk about'destroying' the language of the country we live in? Language is about connection & respect, & I can't imagine how my friend would have felt if he had understood their remarks.
As for the food, I ordered Pan kebab, which was decent, & Ash, which was delicious. We also had two cakes & two lattes, both of which were very good. However, another odd experience happened with the bill. During our meal, the waitress insisted we try garlic pickles, & later, after we had finished our dessert, she enthusiastically offered us another type of cake: Ghotab, saying it was fresh & delicious. Her tone & warmth made it seem like a complimentary treat, so we were surprised to find everything-including the pickles & the extra cake-added to the bill. It wasn't about the $7 extra, but the way it was done left us feeling a bit manipulated.
Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the experience was mixed. While the staff was extremely friendly, the comments about language were inappropriate, & the way additional items were added to the bill felt misleading. I hope this was just a misunderstanding, but I believe a more transparent & respectful approach would make the experience better for everyone.
Très belle découverte! Les plats sont excellents & copieux. Les desserts sont très gourmands. Mention spéciale pour le baklava cake, un petit nuage plein de saveurs, L'ambiance est très chaleureuse. Hâte d'y retourner! En : Great discovery! The dishes are excellent & generous. The desserts are very decadent. Special mention for the baklava cake, a little cloud full of flavors. The atmosphere is very warm. Can't wait to go back!
The atmosphere was fantastic, the service was outstanding, & the drinks & cake were absolutely exceptional.
Lovely Persian cafe. We had the Persian coffee & Persian fog with the saffron cake which was delicious. The baklava cake was a bit disappointing & dry but was good to try different options. They have board games which you can play while you chat with friends. Lovely cafe.
I had the pleasure of visiting Parfums de Perse Cafe for breakfast, & I'm still savouring the experience. I tried the Halim, & wow, it was the ultimate comfort dish-warm, thick, & perfectly spiced. You can tell it's made with love & traditional care, giving it an authenticity that's hard to find elsewhere. But the real surprise? Their pistachio & saffron ice cream-it's absolutely unmatched. Creamy, aromatic, & with just the right balance of saffron & pistachio. It's like a little journey to the Middle East in each bite. & then there's the pistachio cake, which is hands-down one of the best I've ever had. Moist, rich, & with a delicate nutty flavour that leaves you craving more. The staff were so kind & attentive, adding to the warm, inviting vibe of the cafe. If you're looking for an unforgettable taste experience with a personal touch, Parfums de Perse Cafe is a gem that can't be missed. I'll definitely be back soon to try more of their menu!
Excellent service & friendly staff, especially dear Diba & Fernando! Baklava cake & Lahijan tea are must-tries😍
🍽FOOD - we ordered Ash reshte, Gheime, & walnut cake, the ash reshte & cake was amazing that we decided to order take-out as well. 👨🍳SERVICE - There are so kind & caring, & Deeba made sure that we have all we need & welcom us with a traditional drink. 🏡AMBIANCE: I really liked the design on the wall, which perfectly represents persian carpet & art. 💰VALUE - This order costs about $74 & take out about $33 for two Ash.
I had an amazing experience at Parfume de Pers! The Persian food was incredibly delicious, with perfectly cooked kabobs & flavorful ghormeh sabzi. Their Persian ice cream is the best in town-creamy with saffron & pistachios. The cakes in different flavors were also fantastic. The staff was so friendly & welcoming, making the cozy atmosphere even better. Highly recommend!
Excellent teas & cakes. Service is Quick & friendly. Atmosphere is fun. There is a piano where ppl were playing for fun. Totally recommand
Saffron cake & persian latte or persian tea are a heavenly match. Such a mystical experience.
I really love this place, last time we got the pistachio cake & the pistachio ice cream & they were SO GOOD!!! I also love that you can play board games while enjoying their drinks. I'd love to try their food next time!!
Beautiful Persian cafe near old port & downtown Montreal. Interior decorations are absolutely stunning & give me a sense of being at home in Iran. Vibes were immaculate here, 10/10. The cakes are all made in house & they were so fresh & delicious. Staff are also very friendly & happy to answer any questions. Come give them a visit!
Amazing saffron & pistachio ice cream, saffron latte was balanced & good too! Will definitely try the cakes on my next visit! We sat outside, very nice ambience. Totally Recommend & very friendly staff
Very friendly staff! They offered us a Persian cold drink while we were waiting to get a table. We tried pistachio cake & black tea, also tried the Saffron pistachio ice cream, very tasty 😊 I hope upstairs will be open soon!
Such a beautiful little gem in the city. I was so kindly & warmly welcomed, I took the pistachio cake .. oh my god . So delicious & low sugar, that's amazing ! Thank you
This place was such a delight. If you're going to the Vieux Port de Montréal, I suggest starting here. Lots of street parking. Super kind, friendly, & generous service, reflective of Persian hospitality. We were made to feel right at home, including our pup 😍 The decor is lovely; they have an upstairs & a street terrace. The Persian latte is absolutely delicious! The pistachio cake is very comforting & clearly homemade. They also have meals & lots of sweets & drinks to choose from. Would return
