Review Summary

Café Parfums de Perse offers a warm, inviting atmosphere that blends Persian culture with a modern, cozy cafe vibe, where Persian latte, pistachio and saffron cakes, baklava and other desserts are frequently highlighted as heavenly and beautifully presented. Dishes such as Dizi Abgoosht, Baghali Polo with lamb shank, Fesenjan, Mirza Ghasemi and Ghormeh Sabzi showcase authentic flavors and thoughtful preparation, often described as homemade and comforting, with guests noting generous portions and a family run staff that makes visitors feel welcomed. The place is also loved for its games and board games that invite lingering, and for a vibe that feels like a home away from home. While the ambiance and hospitality are consistently praised, some comments mention higher prices for desserts and certain menu items, occasional inconsistency in taste, and a need for improvements in service during busy times.

Loved the authentic vibe. The saffron candy stick in the black tea is a must-try, & their ash soup was rich & flavorful. 5 stars!

This place has a really great atmosphere if you like Persian culture. The Music, decoration & the smell in the air, took me right back to my country.
We tried Halim Bademjan, followed by two Persian tea, & a super delicious Baklava Cake, that I think was the best part of the our evening. It was so good that we bought two more to take home & eat later.
The owners are super warm & kind.

We've been very disappointed in our last visit. Everything was way overpriced & the quality for sure was degraded. Herbal tea that described as ginger, lemon & mint has no ginger & very sour. Price is definitely much higher than any nearby cafes. I don't recommend this place anymore & wouldn't come back again.

Extremely warm welcome. Great service. First time trying Persian food & it was so good. Must try coconut cake, the tea & the persian latte. The gheyme was good too. But my favorite was the tea with cake. Much love to the amazing owners for the great experience❤?❤?

I recently visited Parfums de Perse with my Québécois friend, who has been learning Persian & was excited to practice with the staff. When he spoke Persian, the waitress was very impressed & kind to him, which was nice to see. However, what followed left me quite uncomfortable. In Persian, she jokingly told me,'Bravo for teaching him Persian, I hope we can destroy their language.' She repeated it twice, & even the cashier later made a similar comment. I was genuinely surprised-why would we talk about'destroying' the language of the country we live in? Language is about connection & respect, & I can't imagine how my friend would have felt if he had understood their remarks.

As for the food, I ordered Pan kebab, which was decent, & Ash, which was delicious. We also had two cakes & two lattes, both of which were very good. However, another odd experience happened with the bill. During our meal, the waitress insisted we try garlic pickles, & later, after we had finished our dessert, she enthusiastically offered us another type of cake: Ghotab, saying it was fresh & delicious. Her tone & warmth made it seem like a complimentary treat, so we were surprised to find everything-including the pickles & the extra cake-added to the bill. It wasn't about the $7 extra, but the way it was done left us feeling a bit manipulated.

Overall, the food was enjoyable, but the experience was mixed. While the staff was extremely friendly, the comments about language were inappropriate, & the way additional items were added to the bill felt misleading. I hope this was just a misunderstanding, but I believe a more transparent & respectful approach would make the experience better for everyone.

This family-run café feels incredibly welcoming & homey. The food is delicious, flavorful & homemade. The attentive staff especially Saba which is the best host, consistently checked on us, offering tea & even suggesting board games. The unique nostalgic décor adds to the charming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

If you're looking for authentic Rashti cuisine that truly feels homemade, Rashti Cafe is the place to be! From the first bite, I could tell the food was made with love & care-it reminded me so much of my grandma's cooking. Every dish was perfectly prepared, with rich flavors & the kind of quality you'd expect from a home-cooked meal.

The authenticity of the flavors really stood out, & everything tasted just like real Rashti food. The highlight for me was the tea-it was original from Gilan, with a deep, aromatic flavor that completed the experience perfectly. If you're craving traditional, high-quality Rashti dishes, I highly recommend this place!

I recently visited Parfums de Perse & I have to say, it was a delightful experience! The tea was served perfectly brewed, with a rich aroma & a fresh, comforting taste. The ambiance was warm & cozy, with soft lighting, comfortable seating, & subtle background music that made it an ideal spot for relaxing or catching up with friends. The staff were incredibly friendly & attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. Everything about the visit was great-from the quality of the tea to the inviting atmosphere & excellent service. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu & enjoy the serene environment again. Highly recommended for tea lovers or anyone seeking a peaceful café experience! TNX Mr Anoosh

Very friendly & cozy persian café. We had the persian latte, herbal tea & baklavas. Will have to come back for the food as well as their desserts which looks very good! Good place to stop by for a coffee break in the old port 👌☕️

Unfortunately I cannot say great things about this place even though I had gone expecting it to be great as the reviews implied. The service is friendly but the savory dishes bombed 100%. They lacked flavor & the meat was either too oily or too dry. We were a group of middle eastern ladies so maybe our taste-buds are a little more discerning & expected more flavor. We have all been to other Persian places that did a better job with the savory food. The desserts were the only thing we liked. I think I would come back for the board games with desserts & tea but I wouldn't come back for their savory food. The place is on two floors but the upper floor was closed with only us & two other small tables as customers on a Wednesday evening.
