Me & my fiancée went here during the brunch the food was spectacular the eggs Benedict & the chicken & waffles was amazing, they had really good mayo it was on the sweet side & i wanted to take some home, the bartender i forgot his name but he was asian, served me & my fiancée the best drinks which were the Canadian coffee & the signature tequila sunrise, he really is passionate about his job & it is hard to find in new york who is as passionate as he is. Definitely will come back here in the future

We visited Brasserie 701 on January third & were greeted & seated by Gavin who also became our waiter for the evening. We chose to sit at a high top in the center of the restaurant which gave us a great view of the bar & dining room. Drinks for the ladies were Paloma's, delicious I am told & I chose a glass of the house Champagne, also delicious. For mains we ordered the 701 Burger, the Magret de Canard & a Bavette de Boeuf accompanied by a nice bottle of Minervois Audere 2019, everything was excellent. For dessert we shared the Chocolate Truffle & I enjoyed the recommended Armagnac. We had a fantastic, memorable evening at Brasserie 701, the restaurant looks great inside & out. Gavin, our server for the evening made us feel at home with a friendly & professional service. We are looking forward to returning soon.

What a lovely location. Located right on the corner of Place D’Armes, this is a cool, stylish place to go for dinner, date, or after work drinks. Food & service was great. The stylings of the restaurant was lovely.

We went to this restaurant last weekend. The food was average. Portions are small. There is not a lot of space between you & the next person. We paid 150 for 2 ppl 1 drink & 2 desserts. The service was horrendous. As soon as we walked in, we were told that we only have 2 1/2 hours (instead of 3 which was indicated on the website during the time of the reservation) & that by 8:30 someone reserved our table. At 8 o'clock we had a worker telling us that the people that booked our table are waiting in the lobby. I told her that we have time until 8:30 but she kept insisting that they are waiting in the lobby. So we left. It left a bad taste in our mouth. The following day I wrote an email to the restaurant & got less than a satisfactory answer. They said that opentable (the company they use to do the reservation) can add new reservations during the time of the service so it is "possible" that the time was changed from 8:30 to 8:00. In short, lots of blah blah. So we decided to never go back & give our money to restaurant that respects our business.

Excellent resto lounge, bien situé. Je dois avouer que je n'ai pas l'habitude de sortir dans ce genre de place ''fancy'' mais j'ai bien aimé l'expérience.

Points forts: Nourriture, ambiance, décor, bar & service.

Points faibles: Peut être un peu dispendieux pour certains (100$ pour moi incluant pourboires pour l' entrée plat principal un dessert & 1 drink(aucun vin!). Toilettes minuscules. Espace restraint lorsque très achalandé.

We came in at 8 on sat & the hostess found us a table. We ordered & food was not good, my friend ordered steak rare & she got it well done... & when she tried to change it the waiter was arguing with her that it was rare... as if we don't know what rare is...
Then at 10:pm we were drinking our coffee & the hostess comes up to us to tell us that we have to leave because the table was reserved !

we were treated so badly & definitely I would rather put my money in so many great restaurants in town.
