Downtown Montreal is home to a brand new occupant, and we’re here to have a good time. A social lounge, an artisan bar and a modern bistro, Bivouac provides an urban and boreal gastronomic experience to all who pass through its doors.

Here, the objective is simple: to introduce guests to a whole new world of tastes and sensations. Taking advantage of the best that the Quebec region and its artisans have to offer.

Bivouac is where guests can get away from the chaos of city life to explore, share and enjoy the quintessence of our nature, all during a meal.

Located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on the 6th floor of Complexe Desjardins.
In summer, the Bivouac Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and is perfectly located to enjoy the lively Place des Festivals. In winter, the Refuges du Bivouac offer to set up a camp for an evening under a beautifully decorated and heated dome that can accommodate up to 10 people, in the heart of the entertainment district.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. The food & service were stellar. We wandered in on Monday not knowing anything about the restaurant or its menu. We returned again on Thursday & were just as bowled over as the first time. This place is an absolute gem.

Expérience parfaite! La nourriture est délicieuse & le service est super! Le personnel est attentionné! La terrasse est sans doute la plus belle de Montréal & l'intérieur est tout aussi accueillant!
Nous allons y retourner c'est certain!

Cet endroit est tout simplement GÉNIAL!!!
La vue est splendide, la terrasse est très grande, nous ne sommes donc pas serrés comme des sardines!
Également, le service est très bon!! Les serveurs sont courtois & très gentils, ils font preuve d'un grand professionnalisme!
La nourriture est exquise, rien à redire!
Je recommande plus que fortement cet endroit!

INSANE choice of table colour, should put an umbrella at each table during the day, no point in the giant precarious ones if they literally only shade one table. Food was good, however all the waiters seemed either new at the job or just not very good at waiting tables. Had to wait very long & wave arms to get any to serve us, also give them some hats, poor guys are out there sunburnt to death. No greeter at the front when we arrived, should keep an eye on the reservations & organize themselves to ensure a greeter is present when patrons are set to arrive. A lot of potential here, but seems like a rather poorly managed restaurant.

Nous avons été très bien reçu au Bivouac. La nourriture était excellente, les drinks & l'ambiance WOW. Une mention spéciale à Maxime, notre serveur, qui a grandement participé à la belle soirée que nous avons passé. On se revoit très bientôt!

great spot, great view, great drinks
appetizers & mains were delicious.
dessert was ok
staff was very nice
music was good for the most part but there were some songs that didn't quite fit the vibe (levels by avicii? cmon man)

Expérience géniale ! Nous sommes venus pour la fête de mon conjoint & avons été super bien reçus ! Du cocktail sur la terrasse jusqu'au repas divin servi en intérieur avec une magnifique vue de le quartier des Spectacles ! Ils ont eu une belle attention avec bougie pour l'occasion. La gentillesse de notre serveur & son équipe est à souligner. On recommande & on reviendra !
