Downtown Montreal is home to a brand new occupant, and we’re here to have a good time. A social lounge, an artisan bar and a modern bistro, Bivouac provides an urban and boreal gastronomic experience to all who pass through its doors.

Here, the objective is simple: to introduce guests to a whole new world of tastes and sensations. Taking advantage of the best that the Quebec region and its artisans have to offer.

Bivouac is where guests can get away from the chaos of city life to explore, share and enjoy the quintessence of our nature, all during a meal.

Located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on the 6th floor of Complexe Desjardins.
In summer, the Bivouac Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and is perfectly located to enjoy the lively Place des Festivals. In winter, the Refuges du Bivouac offer to set up a camp for an evening under a beautifully decorated and heated dome that can accommodate up to 10 people, in the heart of the entertainment district.

Magnifique terrasse avec vue du coucher du soleil. Le menu annoncé sur le site ($39/3 services) n'était pas disponible. C'est malheureux car nous avons dû limiter nos choix. La poutine n'était pas avec du fromage cheddar & le tartare n'avait pas de saveur.
Le service est correct avec une brigade jeune & en besoin d'expérience. Moi, je donnerais un 6/10. Comme l'ouverture est récente, le Bivouac sera mieux rodé dans quelques mois.

Gorgeous restaurant with a great view of Place-des-arts & Sainte-Catherine Street from the spacious terrace. The staff provided excellent & friendly service. The food is beautifully plated & is delicious.

C'était un dimanche après-midi tranquille au restaurant, mais nous avons fort apprécié notre expérience. Nous avons bien mangé & bu & les employés ont été aux petits soins avec nous.

Très bons plats, super décor & bon service.
Par contre, nous y allions pour le menu Montréal à table & une fois arrivés sur place, on nous a dit qu'il n'était pas disponible. Décevant que ce ne soit pas indiqué avant.

Visite dans le cadre de MTL à table. Excellents plats, dessert bon mais sans plus. Service correct, petit bémol, j'avais demander à l'avance une bougie au dessert pour l'anniversaire célébré mais ça n'a jamais été apporté.

In spite of being located in a very confusing spot in terms of location - a badly designed shopping centre which always proves difficult to navigate, Le Bivouac service was friendly & professional & the cuisine was extremely good with well presented dishes.

Les plats sont plûtot bons & bien présentés, mais le service est très décevant.
Le service était long & trés baclé ce qui est décevant pour ce genre d'établissement (besoin de faire signe à un serveur, vins servis à côté du verre...)
Je comprends qu'avec la COVID & le manque possible de personnel cela est difficile mais dans ce cas il faudrait peut être penser à réduire le nombre de client admissible afin de privilégier une expérience de qualité...

A beautifully & tastefully decorated restaurant with lovely local touches like the clay water bottle & vase. The service was impeccable & generous, the food was delicious & well-thought out with creative touches of spices & veggies. Great choice of wine, very fairly prized. A beautiful ambience & truly memorable experience. Will definitely visit again. Kudos to our waiter Jonathan H. who made an effort to make the meal a pleasure by paying just the right amount of attention. Will definitely be back!
