Downtown Montreal is home to a brand new occupant, and we’re here to have a good time. A social lounge, an artisan bar and a modern bistro, Bivouac provides an urban and boreal gastronomic experience to all who pass through its doors.
Here, the objective is simple: to introduce guests to a whole new world of tastes and sensations. Taking advantage of the best that the Quebec region and its artisans have to offer.
Bivouac is where guests can get away from the chaos of city life to explore, share and enjoy the quintessence of our nature, all during a meal.
Our Specialties
Oyster bar, Cold meats platter, Cheese platter, Salmon gravlax, Deer tataki, Smoked bison carpaccio, French rack of piglet, Duck breast, Seared cod fillet, Homemade desserts, House cocktails & Private import wine.
Located in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on the 6th floor of Complexe Desjardins.
In summer, the Bivouac Terrace offers a breathtaking view of the city and is perfectly located to enjoy the lively Place des Festivals. In winter, the Refuges du Bivouac offer to set up a camp for an evening under a beautifully decorated and heated dome that can accommodate up to 10 people, in the heart of the entertainment district.
Across the reviews, Bivouac stands out as a dining destination with inventive, well presented dishes that showcase local ingredients, attentive professional service, and a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the varied menu and thoughtful wine pairings, the impressive setting both indoors and on the terrace, and the team's care in accommodating accessibility and celebrations. The experience is described as memorable with standout moments, from intimate bubbles and elegant decor to reliable comfort, making it ideal for pre-show meals, special occasions, and relaxed evenings alike.

What a beautiful experience & service dining last evening at A Bivouac celebrating our guest's 50th BD comments:
"Thank you so much for the delicious & elegant dinner. It was the best one I have had in Montreal. The waiter was sooo attentive! "
Big thank you to Jonathan who made excellent recommendations on wine selections & menu!
Will most definitely return to enjoy the ambiance, food & service! Evening was outstanding & surpassed many other fine dining experiences we have had in Montreal over the years. Restaurant's 4.9* rating is well deserved!
Bruillant.
