Went to this one & like always had the full rack of baby back ribs.
My mom had a flank steak asian salad. Can't go wrong ! My waiter has been there a long time & very polite & professional. Thanks to all the staff
This Baton Rouge Grillhouse has great steaks & an incredible view of the nightlit ski hills in St.Sauveur des Monts Quebec.
The waitress was wonderful. It has a comfy casual bar atmosphere. We went for an après ski snack. I didn't feel too awkward in my ski pants. I didn't love the food.
We had onion soup which had a bit of a burnt taste like it was the bottom of the pot. We also had the steak tartare which was over seasoned so not my thing. We didn't care for it.
Malheureusement ce Bâton Rouge déçoit depuis quelques temps. Il déçoit essentiellement par la qualité de la gestion de la clientèle. La nourriture y est toujours très bonne & l'ambiance aussi quoique un peu bruyant dû à l'achalandage mais bon un restaurant bruyant est souvent bon signe. Nous sommes principalement déçu de la gestion de la clientèle. Nos deux dernières expériences n'ont pas été à la hauteur de nos attentes. L'avant dernière fois nous avons retourné un steak en cuisine puisqu'il trop cuit (demandé medium, arriver bien cuit) puis le serveur est revenu avec un nouveau steak (bleu, saignant) en nous faisant la remarque que le gérant lui avait dit que le steak précédent était medium. Bon, le tout nous à laissé quelques peu amer mais bon. Puis nous y sommes retournés sans réservation & lors de notre arrivée on nous a demandé de patienter une 30e de minute, ce que nous avons fais. Passer les 30 minutes je suis retourné voir l'hôte pour lui demander un suivi, il m'a redemandé si j' avais une réservation, non de l'informer & de lui pointer mon nom sur la liste qu'il avait lui-même rempli. 10 à 15 min encore m'a-t-il dit. Après ces 15 minutes, voyants que de nouveaux clients passaient avant nous & ce sans réservation, je suis retourné le voir pour un autre suivi. Même question (votre nom), même réponse, même résultat dans 15 min. C'est à cette instant que nous avons décidé de quitter après 45 min d'attente. Donc notre notre dernière tentative fût une échec complète malheureusement. Je dis malheureusement car nous aimions ce restaurant mais nous attendrons & découvrirons les environs avant d'y retourner. Dommage on aimait bien.
The table decided to go for their signature dish, chicken & ribs. The group has been a fan of the Baton Rouge ribs for some time & have orders this a while back so we believed this to be a safe bet. Lets see… Ribs: sauce is still delicious though not plentiful & should include a small dipping sauce with the dish. The meat is not as tender & soft as the past melt of the bones quality used to be. The size & portion of the ribs have dramatically been reduced & was a let down. Chicken. Once it used to be a significant sized portion of chicken, it's now a small thin portion of chicken that would likely cost about $1.50 at a typical grocery store. It's grilled & then sauced like the ribs. Its texture was not good as it was stringy & overdone. Coleslaw: the recipe has changed & is a big let down. The old version was creamy & filled with more vegetables & herbs. This was dry, small portion, & lacked the lovely seasoning they once delivered. Baked potato: the potato was supposed to come with the fresh sour cream, crisp fresh bacon bits, chives & topped with cheddar cheese. What we received was a room temperature dried out potato with barely any sour cream that had the texture of cream cheese. The cheddar cheese was gratuitous & hard - not cheesy at all. It would appear that the potato's are pre cooked & then stuffed & placed in a fridge & then microwave heated when ordered. This I can do at home & make better. If a restaurant can't provide fresh quality food (at these prices) don't sell me BS, it's an insult. Salad: for $4.00 extra (instead of a side) their salad was ordered. This was not their usual hearty salad with multiple vegetable. This was predominantly spinach leaves & a little romain & gratuitous little veg added. Now worth ordering again. Notes: all food came room temperature & served at the same time. There was no time to have salad & relax. As all food came at once & within about 5 to 7 minutes from placing the order one would expect it to be hot & fresh - not the case. We had to ask the (amazing) server to send back. We received our order reheated again with another thin layer of sauce but the baked potato still was as horrible as before. The potato was set aside & the server brought a serving of thin-cut fries with a side of ketchup & mayonnaise. The fries were obviously frozen, cooked well & not great but lacking any flavour. Overall I find that there are much better restaurant s to eat at considering the pricing of the average quality products being served. The only real thing going on here are their ribs as there are few restaurants specializing in ribs. After eating a numerous Baton Rouge locations I have concluded that their steak & roast beef are of average quality, too much fat content, & for the price you can get better quality elsewhere. Their burgers are actually very good & even better if eaten at the bar with the bar menu. Their chicken fingers are great, though too much breading & the amount of chicken is actually small. Bottom line; for any Baton Rouge location, stick to the (over priced) ribs & you should be happy. This is a popular establishment in the Quebec & Ontario markets & many people enjoy their offerings as each location can vary its offerings. Going here was not as exciting as it used to be & with so many competitors to eat at I feel BR to be average to below average food quality & freshness etc. you decide but please stay away from their awesomely described baked potatoes as it's a let down. Also remind your server to make sure food is hot & to serve the salads before the main meal; unless you like it with your meal.
À 20h, nous étions en train de déguster nos entrées & on nous a brusquement informés que le deuxième service devait être envoyé immédiatement en cuisine. Si cette contrainte nous avait été communiquée dès notre arrivée, nous aurions évité de commander des entrées. Cela nous a forcés à se dépêcher. Lorsque les plats sont arrivés, la serveuse nous a assuré qu'elle repasserait pour vérifier si tout allait bien. Malheureusement, elle n'est revenue qu'après que les assiettes aient été largement entamées. Les ribs manquaient cruellement de sauce, rendant le plat très sec. La bavette commandée medium-saignante, nous a été servie medium-bien. En tant que professionnels de la restauration nous avons été particulièrement déçus. La bavette n'avait aucune marque de grill & ressemblait davantage à un morceau réchauffé au micro-ondes. C'est la première fois que nous ne finissions pas un steak. Lorsque la serveuse est revenue débarrasser, nous lui avons poliment fait part de nos observations. Elle a appliqué de son gré un rabais sur la facture, un geste apprécié mais qui ne change rien de la qualité de la nourriture. Nous avons tout de même laissé un pourboire généreux de 20% en argent comptant. Au moment de payer, nous avons utilisé une carte cadeaux de 100$ & précisé que le pourboire était en argent en le mettant sur la table. La serveuse a cependant passé la carte en totalité, dépassant le montant de la facture. Nous avons donc dû demander un remboursement de la différence, une situation qui aurait pu être évitée. Était-ce une erreur d'inattention ou une pratique douteuse ? Nous ne saurons jamais. En conclusion, nous avons été bien déçu de la nourriture de ce steakhouse & ne le recommanderons pas.
I just want to premise by saying that the staff is extremely professional & efficient & the atmosphere is very welcoming. Our issues were only with the food. We ordered a burrata that was mediocre but that is to be expected since it's not necessarily their specialty. But I ordered a contre filet New York rare which is a steak & it was really bad. The taste was off & even the colour was not right. Steak is supposed to be their specialty & that's why we were so disappointed. When we told our serveur he was very understanding told us they hadn't change where they get their steak & brought it back to the kitchen because he said it must've not have been cooked enough. It came back as medium & still tasted off. the seasonal vegetables are just frozen vegetables packages that you can probably get at Costco: unseasoned & tasteless. So this review is more targeted to Baton Rouge as a franchise. The quality has gone down & it shows in the most important part: the food.
Best steak by far, great team, very smily & helpful, nice family atmosphere
Excellent service ! Notre serveur était exceptionnel. Le gérant à passer durant la soirée pour obtenir nos commentaires. Un point à amener serait de préchauffer les assiettes, car la nourriture (steak) refroidi trop rapidement. Une sélection de meilleures vins pourrait être aussi un plus. Sinon, une belle soirée a cet établissement.

J'ai étais pour la première fois & les gens m'ont dit que se n'ai pas tout les bâton rouge qui sont bon .j'ai payé 220$ pour moi & ma femme & j'ai étais déçu car premièrement ils montre une photo avec le contre côte avec quue de homard & c'est marqué contre côte avec qeue de homard .mais j'ai payé 20$ de plus pour une qeue de homard qui vaut vraiment pas se prix car il était sec & mon steak brûlé avec un riz sec aussi les frites étaient bonne & le singria wow mais mon expérience ma déçu beaucoup car je voulais que ma femme mange bien mais c'est pas le cas .
LA NOURRITURE ÉTAIT EXCELLENT COMME D'HABITUDE, MAIS LE SERVICE ÉTAIT EXCEPTIONNELLE, LA JEUNE FEMME QUI NOUS A SERVI, IL FAUDRAIT LA FÉLICITER, ATTENTIVE À NOS BESOINS, POUR LE VIN , POUR LA NOURRITURE, EN FAIT, SI VOUS LA FÉLÉCITEZ PAS SOUVENT, VOUS ALLEZ LA PERDRE, ELLE IRA TRAVAILLER DANS UN GRAND RESTAURANT QUI SAURONT L'APPRÉCIÉ À SA JUSTE VALEUR.
PAR CONTRE COMME D'HABITUDE, LE PAIN COÛTE TROP CHER, VOUS ÊTES LE SEUL RESTO DES LAURENTIDES QUI NE DONNE PAS DE PAIN EN MANGEANT SOIT DES PÂTES OU DU STEAK. VOUS NE VOULEZ PAS CORRIGER CE PROBLÈME DONC, UN JOUR VOUS VERREZ LA DIFFÉRENCE, VOTRE CLIENTÈLE QUI AIME VOTRE NOURRITURE IRA AILLEURS & VOUS AUREZ LA DEUXIÈME CLASSE DE CLIENT. MERCI
Très spacieux, élégant & convivial. Les serveurs sont très courtois. Les steaks sont délectables & cuits tels que commandés. Je n'y étais pas allée depuis un moment, mais nous allons y retourner prochainement.

SEUL PROBLÈME, PAS DE PAIN, NOUS ALLONS ASSEZ FRÉQUEMMENT MANGER CHEZ VOUS, & AVANT LA COVID IL Y AVAIT DU PAIN, AVEC LE STEAK, NORMALEMENT UN PETIT PAIN EST TRÈS APPRÉCIÉ, MAIS D'UN FOIS À L'AUTRE IL Y EN A JAMAIS.

Tres bon service du serveur mais trouve que les assiettes manquait de stock pour le prix une assiette a 45 $ avait juste le steak & une patate pas de legume pas plus dacote
